  • You guys don't need to make up facts to support your own opinion you know. Ear cropping doesn't benefit the dog in any way unless it is going to be an attack/guard dog. All you need to say is that it looks stunning

  • BEAUTIFUL pup; Great breed. Despite the rantings of the left-leaning, tree-hugger elements and those from silly countries with even sillier laws.......

THUMBS UP to you for your loving and responsible Doberman ownership in regards to the To standard modern Crop and Dock. It is always the best and healthiest option for this breed.

THUMBS UP TO ALL WHO OWN CROPPED AND DOCKED DOBERMANS. DOES ANYONE REALLY CARE WHAT THE FRINGE ELEMENT HAS TO SAY ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL CHOICE(S)?

    Cheers.....

  • Its is healthy for the dog to have his ears cropped. Shows how much you idiot tree huggers know.

  • I got the show crop for my Doberman as well. I love the look, but it takes so much longer for them to stand! Are your's ears standing already? Or is this the air-out period of the taping? Gorgeous dog.

  • @TKSKS Actually "god"did not make the doberman, a German tax collector 100+ years ago did. HE started the breed and intended their ears to be cropped and their tails docked.

  • My dobermann is named Neo. Ears and tail still intact. Better that way.

  • @TKSKS Its a shittier look that way too.

  • @xBayleeTheKarelian AGREE 100%

  • My doberman has her tail and ears in tact, i love her floppy ears, great when they blow in the wind .mine is called Ellie, she is 3.

  • This doesn't look like a doberman pinscher.. I thinks it's a minature pinscher!

  • @TeaseThickThighs if it was a minature pinscher it wouldnt have gotten that big. i have a doberman & he looked just the same at 5 months & now hes really tall & muscular.

  • @jazzybaby01234 ur so right... I don't know y i thought that? Actually now I have a doberman pinscher & named Snooki... Cuz she has black hair n she's tan lol... I luv her! Hope ur enjoying ur dog too, their beautiful dogs!

  • @TeaseThickThighs lol haha niceee! thats a great description of snooki :) ahaha but yeah they really are beautiful and very good secruity dogs, now even the UPS man doesn't knock on the door he beeps & we have tow alk to him haha

  • but nice crop

  • she looks small to be 6 months

  • she is so so cute

  • Ella is gorgeouse (: We're getting our doberman puppy's, ( Ripley ) ears cropped in a few weeks after our vacation. She'll look adorable<33 Shes cute now with the floppy ears but i preffer the cropped. And it dosnt hurt the dog. Durring the surgery there asleep and you dont see dobe puppies whineing about there ears after there crop so they dont feel a thing, there probably just annoyed with all the tapeing :P

  • too long ears and too long tail.. but beautiful dobermann!

  • Just an fyi to those who don't know this about cropping its beneficial to the dogs it prevents ear infections as well and dobies are pron to infections so it may hurt them temporarily but it [prevent future ongoing pain plus it makes them look more dignified..so tree hungers do your damn research before you go on a animal cruelty rampage its is better for them health-wise to get them cropped i have videos up of my dobies watch and enjoy my boys

  • Bullshit, I have a natural eared Dobe in far north Queensland (which is one of the most humid and warm places in the world) and he has no infections or problems whatsoever. Lame excuse for something purely cosmetic......research my arse.. Only practical purpose is for crack guard and protection purposes, that is all...

  • your fucked they do help with infections

  • @awilke86 Just because your natural ear dogged doesn't have ear infections doesn't mean the cropping does not help. It most certainly does help. My dobie has cropped ears and they are such a pain just to keep clean.. But of course they are also for look and for alertness. And yes they are a cosmetic surgery but so is spaying and neutering.

  • @docdog333 ''My dobie has cropped ears and they are such a pain just to keep clean'' wtf so your saying that despite putting tht dog through the procedure it still is laborious to clean? How has it helped?. Mine is painless to clean and stays dry..

''they are a cosmetic surgery but so is spaying and neutering'' How in the hell is neutering for cosmetic purposes? Not sure if serious. Cropping and desexing are quite different unless you werent aware. That was terrible, try again...FAIL lol

  • @PhillipMcNally The ear cropping is not done so the ears will stay clean. It is done to prevent infection and helps the ears breath easily. And yes, any dog, particularly a big dog with or without cropped ears, is going to produce/collect a lot of wax, funk and dirt. If the ears get easily accessible oxygen, the chances of dirty ears becoming infected are diminished. And yes, desexing is a form of cosmetic procedure depending on the results you want- smaller, leaner, less muscular dogs...

  • @docdog333 you seem to be on the cusp of contradiction with your statements.''The ear cropping is not done so the ears will stay clean. It is done to prevent infection'' Infection prevention is due to clean ears. They are usually synonymous. I have natural ear, euro working line real dobe, live in tropics. No infections, easy to clean, no problems. If dobe has chronic ear problems then could be genetic fault which is somewhat common for American lines. Is for protection and aesthetic reasons.

  • bad work....too long and too slim.....

  • best breed in the world nice crop but should'e docked the tail just a little bit shorter. Thats more of a great dane tail look

  • Ella is beautiful. My Doberman Zeus is 66lbs and he is 7 months lol... i feed him Blue Buffalo Large Breed and occasionally raw steak on sale from the market.

  • that's awesome!! My doberman is 10weeks old now! Ear posting is such a painful thing....yours look beautiful!

  • bigger is not better!!! it leads to hip dysplasia! look at the STANDARDS!!! they're made to be agile things, if you want a brute get a rot!

  • !!! Ella is GORGEOUS !!!

  • my dog six months and 70 something pounds he not fat but hes big dog

  • the best cropped ear i have seen for a doberman

  • man I cant imagine what my Doberman is gonna look like at 6 months he is clearly bigger than this dog and he is 3 1/2 months old

  • if your dog is bigger than this one at 3 1/2 months old. That means bad nutrition. Its best for any breed of dog to grow slow and strong so the bones grow properly. What food you give him by the way.

  • I give him what the Vet told me its the Science Diet Puppy Large Breed Dog Food, and today he was 37lbs and he turns 4 months 6-21-09 I put up a vid of him go check it out, he gets plenty of exercise, he wrestle with my brother pitbull 24/7 I feed him twice a day

  • is your dog going to get any bigger? i thought debermans were bigger..

  • sweet sweet sweet :-) i have a dobermann too, bt my dobermann named kane... he is 9month old...

  • she is so pretty

  • I have a Doby named Ella too! She's red though.

I am in the process of taping her ears. She is 4.5, or 5 months old now, & her ears were cropped only about a month ago. We too put a show crop on her. How old was your dog when she actually had the surgery? Right now, we have 1 ear almost all the way standing, yet the other ear still flops when the tape is off. Was this the same for you? Asking someone who has gone through the same thing.. I am just curious on your experiene.

  • yes...its a show crop

  • is this ear crop a show cropping?
