As always you make the process of learning a pleasure. The lessons aren't "Ego Trips" like so many so called instruction videos on the net. They go through a lick at normal speed then fly of at breakneck speed which makes you feel like burning your guitar. 5 stars +
Hi Will, Beautiful job. I'm a country blues finger picker about to by a G&L ASAT; my first electric. Thank you thank you and keep those brilliant lessons coming.
great lessons...dump the damn capo. most of us intermediate g players don't own a martin that completely stays in tune. (not sure urs does either) plus no one is here to sing. open pos is fine. thanx again though. great!
As said elsewhere, the capo here allows me to video both hands in close-up. My Martin usually stays in tune OK - but the force of my hands would put any guitar slightly out! :-) Will
thanx. got the other one too. still a pain though. for me, the right hand should be obvious by hearing the note, but i did do some basic fingerpicking b4 so maybe it just seems easy to me. thanx again. Alan
What an amazing job you have done of putting together a fabulous lesson. As good if not better than anything out there that is commercially available. Thanks for being so generous with your talent. :)
i - I create the fretboard graphic images using Excel. Then I import each image into Photoshop, using one layer per image. Each image is saved as a JPEG and imported into iMovie. The keyboard images are screenshots from Garageband, process via Photoshop. I use Garageband for basic chords. The live guitar is filmed simultaneously on a DVD camcorder while being recorded into my Roland 8-track recorder. The whole lot is then fed into iMovie, cut and synched up.

Hey Will, nice lesson. Very simple, easy to follow right-to-the-basics stuff. What software are you using for your imagery?
