  • Wow. What the fuck. Wow. This is truly terrifying.

  • I only disliked this to balance out the bar.

  • Who thought having a steamroller crush a man LEGS FIRST very slowly would be fit for a kids program.

  • What, no pelvic thrusting guy standing on top of the steamroller?

    WWRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRYYY

  • It took me so many years to get over all this movie's incredibly creepy slapstick before I realized what a fantastic movie this was.

  • i can't believe how many butthurt replies I've gotten, but then again, this is youtube we're speaking....

  • @LauraDeBunbury Yeahhhhhh kind of shocked myself. :c Sorry. No hate people, fear ONLY

  • this needs to make its way onto a hostel 3 or another final destination film to illustrate how it would really look, showing the after math of course. S:)

  • i didn't get to watch a lot of popular movies when I was a child (call me hispter, I don't care), so I never watched this movie. this is the first time i see this scene. I think I0m never EVER going to watch this damned movie if this is the kind of stuff I'll be watching

  • @LauraDeBunbury How unfortunate. This is one of the best animation-shares-live-footage films ever created, and this is the worst scene in the film - the scene after makes up for it, but I won't spoil it for you. Honestly, I think the worst instance of nightmare fuel in Who Framed Roger Rabbit was the Shoe Vs. The Dip scene!! THAT scared the shit out of me when I was little.

  • @LauraDeBunbury Wow, don't hurt your virgin eyes princess, those fake movie deaths can be pretty traumatizing. And the fact you don't care about being called a hipster is hipster in itself. I forgot you guys are too awesome and old school to watch decent movies like this.

  • The screaming. My God, the screaming.

  • When I saw the link in TV Tropes, I had flashbacks to this exact scene scaring me crapless as a kid. I was surprised that it was actually this scene when I clicked on it; how serendipitous.

  • Looking at that all grown up... that's the scariest thing I've ever seen. -_-

  • Eddie Valiant killed Captain Clown!

  • Hahahahahahahahaha, *wipes tears away* Utterly hilarious!

  • Thank goodness I never finished the movie as a kid (hated it with a fervor, still think it's lame to this very day)

But this scene had me, in my twenties, cringing.

Would probably haunt me for days when I was 8 or so.

  • Aight, I really should mention again that this was pretty much my first experiment in Windows Movie Maker about 5 years ago. I had no idea anyone was gonna watch it, and didn't even know what TV tropes was five years ago -- that's actually when I first got the internet. Sorry about the hour-long credits sequence and the lack of simple clip-have. Enjoy what's there! I apologize for the crappy quality. :)

  • @meowkie At the very least, it takes only 4 seconds to get on with the clip, and it's not like you're forced to watch the end.

I find it far more annoying when kids make 30-60 second long intros for their shitty videos.

  • Terrifying when I first watched it, still pretty disturbing now.

Maybe they should've made it shorter and omitted the screams of terror?

  • fuck

  • Just think how that would feel on your kneecaps and Ribs (Hint: Not therapeutic)

  • @zoo1619 It would sure help if you needed a couple of knots ironed out!

  • NIGHTMARE FUEL.

  • The clip starts at 0:04

    The clip ends at 0:23

Your video is 0:58 seconds long

Therefore, the actual video takes up less than half of your video

    lrn2youtube

  • @n00neimp0rtant Hey. I made that observation a long time ago. You got ninja'd. I hate this video and I've hated it for years. ._.

  • This is the first scary thing that I remember acknowledging. I mean, come on. Up to that point, besides one, maybe two suggestions that he was a Toon (primarily when he scurries back from The Dip in the bar), most of us would have thought he was just a super-sinister human being.

    Freakin' movie!

  • scariest moment in movie history for me when it first came out...

  • Thank you, You have had over-the-top Nightmare Fuel. So, Parents! Whenever your children come up and say they wet themselves and they don't know why, you'll know the reason."

  • roada rolla?

  • I know this is just because I'm seeing it out of context

But it just looks like pretty gruesome murder to me.

That stuff is generally funny when it's a toon, but kinda horrifying to happen to a real person.

But maybe it's really funny in context. What episode/movie is this?

  • @hihi0 Whoa, are you kidding me? :D This is the ending of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. I'm not gunna spoil the ending for you, but you've GOT to check it out, okay? If you love films, and if you love films with historical controversy, puh-lease do yourself a favor and find this film at a media store and pay how ever much money they ask for it.

It's got to be one of the best.

And yeah, this steamroller death is pretty sinister. I dunno - I always thought it was funny. :P

  • @hihi0 Not as grusome in context

he is the big bad, and well...it doesnt end there anyway.

  • Ah, childhood. God this whole scene freaked the fuck outta me.

  • This; Superman 3 scene where the woman's pulled back into the computer mainframe and turned into a cyborg; the Boo Box from Hook; the octopus and end boss (Vortex Queen) from Ecco the Dolphin; the "you just digested the bad guy" scene from Inner Space, complete with skeleton and stringy remains.

These examples pretty much sum up the terror I experienced at a young age, there are many more but these are just brutal for a 6-10 year old to watch.

  • HOLYSHIT

  • His screams!

sht that scared me when I was little. Still cant see it as funny.

  • @chik4wolverine

Meh, the idea of a Toon in a rubber suit pretending to be human takes the scary out of it for me.

  • Nightmare Fuel.

  • I'M SCARED NOW THANKS TVTROUPES.

  • Thank you, TvTropes.

  • Troper here! Yeah, if I was a literal minded 6 year old, watching this dude screaming and writhing and getting flattened would scare the FUCK out of me. And I'm actually pretty brave. YAY FOR THE NIGHTMARE FUEL AND THE FRIDGE HORROR PAGES FOR GIVING ME NIGHTMARES. Like this if they gave you nightmares too!!

  • Congrats on getting this video on TV Tropes.

  • @darkfire158 are you dead serious? because I would KILL to delete the credits!

  • @meowkie ... I'm not exactly sure what that statement means, but look up Nightmare Fuel and read through it until a lengthy explanation on this video.

  • @darkfire158 All I mean is, this video is older than my grandfather and the fact that the credits are longer than the video drives me crazy. If I knew this was going to end up on a website such as TV tropes, this would be nothing but pure, uninterrupted clip.

  • @meowkie Oh, I see. Yeah, that could be a little embarrassing, but be proud of the fact you're helping to create Nightmare Fuel for future tropers.

  • Holy smokes, he's a toon!

  • UGH!! The part that scared me about this when I was a kid wasn't the fact that he got rolled over, but the fact that he GOT UP AND LOOKED ALL WEIRD DDDDD:

  • @lychicambess

The whole thing scared me. The fact that we see him agonizing as he gets rolled over, then gets up and then goes on a rampage with a squeaky voice and saw-hand.

  • @MegaPhilX OH GOD THE SAW HANDS LOL that shit is trippy XD

  • Great Scott :O

  • Judge Doom has got to be the scariest character of all time.

This end scene scared me so much when I was younger.

I watched the movie yesterday after not seeing it for years and I thought to myself 'maybe it won't be as scary as I remember it' but it was worse!

I couldn't even watch it, I had to hide underneath my dressing gown... It's the eyes...

  • @JanetMichaelJackson O_o I know what you mean about the eyes...

  • are you surprised he didnt die, and what was your guess what was going to happen to Judge Doom as he was being run over, I had a friend who knew that was going to happen where he would be revealed as a Toon.

  • What I never understood was how did his false eyes and teeth not get crushed or broken by the steam roller ?

  • @Strogenforcer His eyes were made of rubber and his teeth were in fact toon teeth.

  • you can see how much the steamroller loves his owner lol

  • Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!

    One if the funniest Scenes!!!!

  • Haha. I remember when I was a little kid like 3 or 4, I would watch the movie and see this scene and say, "What's his problem?" and my family would laugh.

Probably because I heard Angelo say "What's his problem" when Eddie smashed that egg in his face earlier.

  • i wasnt worried roger.

  • Laughed my ass off at the long credits. GIVE IT UP FOR JUDGE DOOM LOLOL!

  • what music is used at the end?

  • the spanish flea

  • it scared the shit out of me when his yes were al popped out

  • the whole movie scared me when i was little.

  • ahh so scary

  • Good gory, can you imagine the mess that would have made had be been human? -shudder-

  • The real mess would have begun when the front wheel hit his chest.

  • The way that Judge Doom screamed in this scene---it's how a cartoon character would scream....

  • Those last ten minutes of Roger Rabbit gave me nightmares when I was five. Man, Judge Doom was creepy, especially as a toon.

  • I found it creepy too

  • HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA, GOOD WORK MEN.
