I am actually a very successful guy (even though I get hate male from Esther's fans). I reached a level of success through belief, hard work, treating people well, trusting people and following my instincts. BUt I can't believe in channeled spirits who don't answer a single REAL question. I was skeptical so i searched for "abraham hicks scam". I found two blogs from authors who also consider themselves skeptics but can't see how what Esther and Jerry are doing could be considered a scam. The only other thing I found was Mafanatic's post on this page saying it's a scam. Just because their books, cd's and seminars cost money it doesn't mean they are scamming anyone. They are obviously realizing what they chose to manifest... they got rich by helping others.

The irony is the Esther Hicks is making herself rich on vulnerable people. Abraham hicks has been making a fortune with Esther Hicks. lol It's easy to brush me off by calling me 'jealous.' Whether or not Esther Hicks is getting rich from the sales of her material is irrelevant. The mere fact that someone makes a handsome profit from what they do is a neutral fact which doesn't automatically say anything good or bad about them. There is nothing "ironic" or inherently bad about that at all. There are therapist, lawyers, consultants, mechanics, & many other professionals who "make themselves rich" by providing services to people who find value in what they do.
I'm not so sure if it's accurate to refer to grown adults as "vulnerable" simply when they freely choose to spend their money on products which reinfornce things they freely choose to believe. The idea of LOA is that we cause and manifest our own reality through thought. This is deceptive. I heard people confront LOA teachers (Esther included) sharing with these gurus terrible horrific life events (genocide, terminal illness of children, death of children, murder, rape, etc.). And the LOA teachers have ONLY one response, "You brought it on through negative thought." LOA is NOT a law. There are no "vibrations going off into the universe." It is a lie that blames the victims.
LOA is just made up. The teachers (Like Hicks, Proctor, etc.etc.) say that it is proven by "science" when in fact nothing is further from the truth. Its not proven. It is NOT a law. I have seen these LOA gurus say that slavery was manifested by the victims. How can these be "good ideas?"

Please show me one teacher who will not blame the victim. I am a healthcare provider. I save MANY people and so do my colleagues. Often we do so without fee if people cannot afford to pay. What right does this individual have to make claims like that? She hides behind this Abraham she created. I will pay 555 dollars for her to take a polygraph while under trance (or post trance). Not true, happily. I read a book on LOA in Jan. I'm happy as i can be right now. I haven't mastered this money thing quite yet but it has been a deep issue for me. I started by changing my thinking. I'm talking about victims of natural disasters, terminal illiness, children with terminal illness, battered women, abused children, etc. All those people didn't "have it coming" because they were none believers. That's what Esther Hicks would want you to believe. What would you say about a woman who believes she married a man of her dreams, only to find out he's having an affair? Did she somehow 'cause' this?

I was skeptical so i searched for "abraham hicks scam". I found two blogs from authors who also consider themselves skeptics but can't see how what Esther and Jerry are doing could be considered a scam. The only other thing I found was Mafanatic's post on this page saying it's a scam. Just because their books, cd's and seminars cost money it doesn't mean they are scamming anyone. They are obviously realizing what they chose to manifest... they got rich by helping others.

The irony is the Esther Hicks is making herself rich on vulnerable people. Abraham hicks has been making a fortune with Esther Hicks. lol It's easy to brush me off by calling me 'jealous.' IF you need to believe that, great. Believe what you wish. Whether or not Esther Hicks is getting rich from the sales of her material is irrelevant. The mere fact that someone makes a handsome profit from what they do is a neutral fact which doesn't automatically say anything good or bad about them. There is nothing "ironic" or inherently bad about that at all. There are therapist, lawyers, consultants, mechanics, & many other professionals who "make themselves rich" by providing services to people who find value in what they do.

I'm not so sure if it's accurate to refer to grown adults as "vulnerable" simply when they freely choose to spend their money on products which reinfornce things they freely choose to believe. People freely choose to spend their money all the time on activities/products that I personally would never pay for. That douesn't mean that they're vulnerable or being preyed upon. It just means that they are free individuals who are okay with spending their money on things I don't personally endorse.

True. I stand corrected. But the individuals I see who follow Hicks (and don't see through the fact that Abraham is made up) and/or other LOA gurus, are in fact vulnerable. Maybe NOT ALL. I would also say that those who engage in other activities may be seen as vulnerable as well. Perhaps I'm vulnerable in some way? I dont know. I do see people who believe in this hoax, and when LOA (which is MADE UP) fails, they blame themselves for being the victim. And Esther supports that.

I understand what you're saying with the whole vulnerability thing. As far as Abraham being a made up character goes, I have no evidence either way. I enjoy listening 2 some of the IDEAS Esther presents, but I wouldn't be able 2prove that she is being fradulent or real. I generally pay more attention 2 the ideas than 2 the people who espouse them. So that particular issue isn't of great import 2me. If she announced today that she made it all up, I'd smile & say "Cool! I still like your book!"

The idea of LOA is that we cause and manifest our own reality through thought. This is deceptive. I heard people confront LOA teachers (Esther included) sharing with these gurus terrible horrific life events (genocide, terminal illness of children, death of children, murder, rape, etc.). And the LOA teachers have ONLY one response, "You brought it on through negative thought." LOA is NOT a law. There are no "vibrations going off into the universe." It is a lie that blames the victims.

LOA is just made up. The teachers (Like Hicks, Proctor, etc.etc.) say that it is proven by "science" when in fact nothing is further from the truth. Its not proven. It is NOT a law. It is NOT science. Abraham is a made up character, a delivery source for a lie. It is simple to test if Abraham exists. Esther would NEVER take that test because she is making money on a lie. I have seen these LOA gurus say that slavery was manifested by the victims. How can these be "good ideas?"

She has to in order to mask the fake accent. She also goes on rants (a technique many fake faith healers, channelers and psychics use to scam people). She also does a lot of 'fogging.' Restatement of same very basic ideas we learned in 3rd grade in double speak which makes it sound like she's actually saying anything important. I challenged her to a test (just to see if Abraham exists), but she never replied. I did get a lot of hate mail from her cult followers.

I'm surprised people are still reading my posts and discussing them. I'm not against people being rich. This is a free country. My concern with LOA is that in 99.9 percent of cases when it doesn't work, the LOA teaches people to blame themselves. I have SEEN LOA 'teachers' claim that disease, poverty, natural disasters, genocide, slavery, were brought on by the victim's themselves. I'm not saying that focusing doesn't work. But bad things happen to the innocent all the time.

Just to add balance to the discussion here, there is no monolithic LOA doctrine. Different thinkers espouse it in different ways with varying points of emphasis. Not all teachers of LOA advocate the "it's your fault" & "blame yourself" attitude that you are condemning here. There are many variations of LOA, many teachers of it, & a many approaches to how it works. By the way, I think it's a good thing that your posts are stimulating such discussion. Please show me one teacher who will not blame the victim. I am a healthcare provider. I save MANY people and so do my colleagues. Often we do so without fee if people cannot afford to pay. But nothing hurts us more than hear people blame themselves for serious conditions and even death of loved ones because they read The Secret or some of Hicks' stuff. Or Proctor. Or Saveli. If positive imagery leads to action, you will get results. Results lead to more action, and more results. Eventually, one reaches success. Nothing new about that. But LOA doesn't exist. It's not a LAW of ANY PHYSICS. It's a marketing gimmick to sell books. But my main problem is that LOA quickly takes on the blame the victim approach when bad things do happen to other people. As for channeling, I just don't believe it. It's also very testable. Abraham reads these posts. He/she/they know this.

To characterize LOA as a marketing gimmick may be true of some or perhaps many, but it's a gross oversimplification of the metaphysics that underlie it. Many people genuinely believe in the LOA & are teaching it with the sincere intent of empowering others. You may still disagree with their beliefs, but it would be unfair to lump all LOA proponents into the gimmick category. "Marketing gimmick" implies an ulterior motive or profit driven focus which is simply not true of all LOA advocates.

We lost a child stillborn at 22 weeks. Until this day I still wonder if the dream I had holding a little blue baby in my hand, had something to do with the reality we soon experienced. How is it I can dream an event and remember it so vividly. Then live that event in reality? Life is truly amazing even in times of despair. Circumstances don't make a person they reveal them. I would love to know more about what she says that is that outrageous in her seminars. Not true, happily. I read a book on LOA in Jan. I'm happy as i can be right now. I haven't mastered this money thing quite yet but it has been a deep issue for me. I started by changing my thinking. Negative thoughts -- I started recognizing them. Refused to focus. This hasn't been a 24 hr a day thing..at least not then but eventually I became intolerant of any negativity generating from me. Doubt is a menacing thing that i'm still working with on occasion. Doesn't occur much. Rethink!

Usually, cult leaders, ALL have the same message of 'love' 'vibrational energy' 'control over self' etc. The message has to be simple. Why? Because Esther Hicks doesn't know another answer. Simple answers to complex problems is how most of these folks work. Look up any cult and you'll find the same tactics. Hicks makes a claim that an 'all knowing' collection of beings speak through her. The burden of proof is on her that this true. Otherwise, it's just a quick scam. That's what's wrong.

Hmm. I beg to differ. She and us do not have to prove anything to you. We prove it to ourself fór ourself. You on the other hand are trying to prove it fault for ús. So I would say that you have to prove our experiences wrong. I know my experiences are real, cause I'm living them so for me it works. Prove me wrong XD
