Does this thing put out loud music? I work in a steeal tube factory and have a hard time hearing the sound of small cheao boom boxes when I'm 5 or so feet away with it cranked up, also wear ear plugs since its mandatory.

@James9109Productions It's pretty loud.. However, I think the JVC might be a bit louder tho, but, it's also a bit more expensive than this..

@001odys I'm not sure about that.. The JVC I had was an RV-B90 (I think, or one similare to that one).. So I guess you just have to check them both out in the store, and then choose which one you like the most.. But, yeah, I'm satisfied with the Sony too tho. However, this is just one of my "extra-stereos". My main stereo is a NAD C315BBE amplifier and a pair of Dali Lektor 6 speakers..

@Barwff If you use the aux-input, and not the USB, it should work.. At least it does on mine..

this thing lasted me two minutes to 5 before it shut off and would not turn it self back on, maybe i got a malfunctioning one, or bestbuy sold me a used one and i did not know about it, but for sound (while it lasted) i give it a 4, durability at a 0, looks at a 4.5,

@mortalmisfit Yeah, you can turn of the lights.. But it's been a while since I've used it tho, so can't remember if it's the same button that also controlls the subwoofer..

@TS84NO It is not available in the USA. It is a European model, and to be frank, I am really jealous. Here in the US, we have 2 models similar to this boombox, although much less powerful and good-looking.

@maksimusg Yeah, those from JVC has a very good sound quality. I had one of those a few years ago.. But this one is a bit cheaper, so I'm pretty pleased with this one also.
