  • There are an increasing number of young persons discovering the Traditional Latin Mass. They do not believe in abortion, gay marraige etc. Traditional Latin Mass communities small but growing.

  • I attended a Catholic highschool. One occurrence opened my eyes about the catholic education system. One girl in a grade above me fell pregnant and the PRINCIPAL said she must get an abortion or be expelled. Thankfully, the girl took a year off school and did not abort her child. Another occurrence I remember was being taught about the pros and ONLY the pros of contraception in health class, while being told we shouldn't tell anyone because we were 'not supposed to talk about it'.

  • @o1melloNADE Are you kidding me?!? When did we throw out reason for insanity? God help us!

  • We have been betrayed by so called Catholic education. I worked as a youth minister with a lifeteen parish and so many of the teens were taught Dan Brown styleconspiracy theories by the RELIGION teacher! In Ontario Canada we have full Gov't funding and it has been the WORST thing to happen to us. Human rights tribunals say the Catholic boards must hire anyone and the faith is being destroyed. Our priest said it was as if the kids there were being inoculated against the faith!

  • Even here in the Philippines, orthodox Catholics are getting swamped by liberals. After all, President Aquino is a liberal Catholic. It's really sad.

  • I love this video. Hands down, it's my favorite. I was one of those kids who made collages in CCD class. It was 1972 then. I'm 51 now.

  • The Globe and Mail (Canada's top newspaper) recently did a national survey saying that not only are immigrants (i.e. from the Philiphines, Eastern Europe etc.) keeping the Catholic Church afloat (and other churches and sects as well), but also making it MORE orthodox! Moreover, in my experience, 'young Catholics' like myself are MORE conservative, too, than our elders. Mind you, the Archdiocese of Toronto is one of the best (i.e. orthodox) on the continent.

  • I am a young Catholic myself and like everyone else I am by no means perfect or even near perfect, but what I can't understand is how people can call themselves Catholic and support things such as abortion and gay marriage? Just admitting to supporting these is an abomination and they should not claim to be Catholics when doing so. I pray every day for the end to abortion and yet many of my Catholic brothers and sisters around the world are showing their support to destroy the innocent.

    SAD!

  • I am a 24 year old Catholic and it's rare to find Catholics my age who are even interested in growing closer to Jesus. It saddens me. Whenever I go to weekly Mass it's me plus a bunch of people over 50. Whenever I go to adoration it's me plus a bunch of people over 50. Where are people my age? I guess I need to be the best witness I can be to others and hopefully turn others on to the Church.

  • @86cmichaelc I'm 26 and I feel like that some times. If your parish doesn't have a Young Adult Group, then I'd recommend you start one. The YAG at my parish has definately brought many young adults to want to live in line with the Magisterium of the Church. To be honest, I (was liberal) originally joined the YAG five years ago to find a girlfriend. But I ended up finding something much more important and my life has changed forever.

  • I am a Melkite Catholic. At a recent talk given by a Catholic teacher (who is coincidentally Ukrainian-Greek Catholic), he mentioned something startling - the only reason why Catholic schools in Sydney have any form of relevance and impact is because of the Eastern Catholics - the Maronites, the Melkites, the Chaldeans, and the Ukrainians, simply because these are the ones that actually go to Church on Sundays and actually have an inkling of what's actually going on.

  • @cmnunis yes but even they are starting to slowly slip (I'm assuming you mean Sydney, Australia)

  • This is too disappointing... young Catholics know nothing about their faith because of two reasons: 1) Bad Catholics and Teaching 2) A Protestant/Liberal infiltration of the Church to bring it too it's knees...."The smoke of Satan has entered the highest levels of the Church"

  • Thanks for showing us this harsh reality. I'm a young adult convert (32) and am severely disappointed with those young adults that are teaching catechism to the youngsters when they don't know or believe in the faith themselves. My husband and I plan on teaching our 3 year old son ourselves with the proper materials. Gosh how I wish I could get my hands on a Baltimore Catechism!

  • Being Catholic is awesome!!! It saddens me to see that other Catholics' or people who claim to be catholic, do not follow their faith and give other Catholics a bad rap. ajaxsf, I pray that you can find the amazing truths of the Catholic faith. Do not let the rather inflated statistics scare you. I will be praying that you see the truth and that Christ touchs your life.

  • this is equally as good as the glenn beck show, although totally different

  • I recently converted to Christianity (from Buddhism) and I am looking for a denomination. A lot about Catholicism appeals to me but frankly the outright liberalism of almost all the Catholics I know turns me off. I find a myself drawn to evangelical Protestants because even though their beliefs don't speak to me as much, they are culturally more like me. In fact, you Michael Voris, are the only conservative Catholic I know. Where are all the other Catholic who aren't Obama-worshiping liberals?

  • You should not join a denomination because of what the people are like, but rather because of what they SHOULD be. It is possible to be an authentic Protestant and support aborton or homosexuality (because there are denominations which support those things). You cannot, however, be a Catholic in good standing and support those things.

  • If you want to find real Catholics, I recommend going to daily mass. Daily mass goers represent the remnant of Catholics who actually live the faith and are not just nominally Catholic. And no, you don't have to go to daily mass to be a true Catholic but the majority of daily mass goers are.

  • @ajaxsf there are A LOT of great catholics! Don't worry.

  • @ajaxsf Hey, I have turned a practicing Catholic just some 2 years ago after being a lukewarm Catholic for the first 17 years of my live. It is hard to find good faithful Catholics, I have though found (though I am not saying they are only here) many to be in the daily masses and in Opus Dei groups, since in these they strive to live like a saint and holy every day of our lives, just like Jesus himself taught us to do. I hope you see the good of the Catholic church. May God Bless You

  • @ajaxsf

I am a conservative 23 year-old Catholic female. We are out there!

  • @BaconPeach Me too! :)

  • @BaconPeach I am a Conservative 26 year-old Catholic male, we are also out there lol!!!

  • @ajaxsf Wow man don't go to the Protestants we need you here in the Catholic faith!! There are many Conservative Catholics trust me, we are steadily growing! I see it's been a year since your comment, where did you decide to go? If you don't mind me asking.

  • @ajaxsf when Jesus was crucified, only ONE of his disciples remained by His side, John, at the feet of the Cross. Not many were faithful at that time either, but most if not all came back later. This is to show what Michael said, you shouldn't join by how many are faithful! I constantly get screamed at for being "too catholic", my friend is called gay just because he practices abstinence. See? you have two extra "trying to be" faithful Catholics. :D

  • I used to be one of those "young adult Catholics" just last year who didn't think much about abortion, family values, marriage. (Secular media and peer trends are pretty powerful.) I don't know what--outside of God, caused me to reexamine these issues and take them more seriously but I'm glad I snapped out of the whole secular zombie thing. Once you get closer to the faith you start seeing things more clearly. Liberal Catholics aren't independent minded they're myopic slackers who rationalize.

  • Jesus is the Son of God and He is God.

  • i m so disgusted n i m a young catholic. good job. I i hadn't gone 4 the sacrament of communion as n adolescent i wudn't b a catholic 2day. they r giving communion 2 5 year olds, it seems more a tradition then faith. When i was 5 i thought jesus was literally the son of god.

  • thank god 4 ppl like u im a young catholic n im disgusted by the western church! i saw 5 year olds getting the sacrement of communion at church. They look at sacraments like a tradition or something. In this secular world where religion weakley exists, confirming n giving commion 2 such young ppl is terrible. My parents refused to let me go 4 communion until i was n adolescent n they felt i could start understanding deep theology behind the church but when i went into a communion retreat ...

  • "Im gonna put glitter on it, make it all shiny!" lolololololol

  • Someone accused me of being,self-righteous, self canonizing and that I should take a good look at myself because I don't agree with catechists teaching the faith with games. By the time young people are ready for Confirmation, they should be learning deep theology and fully prepared to get on with their lives as Catholic adults.

  • u r rite! im young n my family n priests tolled my parents i was old enough to get communion n confirmed a few years back-they even pressured them! If that happened i wud b a pro-obbortionist 2 day. I wudn't have the slightest entrest in learning about the faith n i wud have not understood any of the deep theology at such a young age. but when i got older n my parents signed me up into rcia i finally could understand n felt n entrest bcuz instead of trying with stupid games my teacher taught!

  • im pro-life!

  • It is truly saddening that such a thing has happened to our society. I myself am a 19 year old devout catholic. As a college student especially, I see alot of my peers disregarding christian teachings in general. In recent months, I have grown bolder about the faith and am open about saying "yes, I'm catholic" but I try to live quietly through example. Aside from living my daily life according to God, is there any other way to help guide people without shoving the bible down their throats? :/

  • Awesome! We should use our God given talents and skills in ways we can for His glory and the salvation of others :)

  • I know someone who was allowed to play poker in their CCD class. That's poor and unfair to that person because now he is gone from the Church and I really care about this guy and I want him to come back home to the Catholic Church where he and his family belong.

  • "... and the spin stops here, because we are definitely looking out for you." LOL This is the CATHOLIC no spin zone!! I love it!

  • This really disturbs me. I thought that there was really an emergence of the "New Faithful," but there is still a long way to go. I trust that Christ will take care of His bride.
