  • i think u guys r good i train under sifu art gonzales in santa paula california he trains under sicun kee ling who trains under raymond wong in china town los angels

  • Nice. I train Under Johnny Lee. This was about 4 years ago. Ive recently been out 2 months on a fractured ankle.

  • Hey, MZLH guy, where do you train?

  • I used to train under Grand Master Johnny Lee in Dallas. This video was about 4 years ago.

Im currently not attending class, but Im trying very hard to get back into class.

  • Cool stuff, I'm learning MZLH at USC. Well, good luck getting back into it.

  • Those of you who make negative comments about this video do not understand . "In the Shaolin temple there are 3 types of people Students , Deciples and Masters " This is not about "The Street" or MMA . These are young students working out and sparring to become The Best Martial Artist They Can Be! .........All you ppl talkin shit need to get off your ass !

  • Exactly. Well put. We were just having fun.

  • i still think you should have taken some dicks with your drinks.

  • blow me... why are you STILL watching?

  • yeah ok

  • what was that?An exebition? You need emotional content

  • why,.. yes it was an exhibition...

  • hahaha yea i know i was kidding

  • lol... coo coo

  • boring...

  • lol someone didn't notice it wasn't Serious Fighting "...for leisure practice." :P

  • good sparring =)

  • You train at Johnny Lee's in Dallas, correct?

  • I used to. Im just Rogue now. Im in Austin now.

Im looking for a decent school in austin, but arnt finding any.

  • There is a nice "hole-in-the-wall" mma school down there if you want to diversify your training. I cant rem the name, but check around on Bullshido and you can find it. Not many good kung fu schools down there last I visited. Richard Guerra (Austin) has good lineage (Leung Ting), but it will be much different than the style you are used to... Also, he was a lil eccentric last we met. =P

  • Also, do I know you?

  • I used to train and help teach at JL's school back when he first moved to Dallas.

  • i cant understand how muay thai guy fight in that pant >< me when im fight i put boxer on =) IT"S GAVE BETTER SWING TRY IT

  • hey that was a good vid m8y im going for my 1st degree in tai kwon do i been trainign 15 years now been trained by my dad and grand master rai anyway the movement was all good but at the begining of vid the spin back heel kick seemed a lil of balance lol wat you doijng filming it so you can see your mistakes if so nice one thats a great idea if you dnt mind me asking how do you train at home i use brick walls to practice power write back thanks

  • pretty nice. great idea to film yourselves to correct and see what your doing right. Nice and light. Great to see. Guy in the lighter shorts putting up some nice combos, but id say both (as an practicer of ITF Tae Kwon-Do) need to work on a stronger guard. Keep it up ;)

  • thats alrite..

    only tapping ea other LOL

    u guys should make a vid demo..though

  • Hey, it is nice to buddies to play n train together. envy you guys.Have a good time .

  • I don't think I saw a single martial arts technique other than a roundhouse. If you're going to spar using a style, you should actually try some techniques from that style. Otherwise you're just doing kickboxing. I say this AFTER reading your little "more" section. This is why MMA types make fun of traditional martial arts...

  • the round house is a very reliable kick. i use it alot when im sparring. i did see some wild kicks. you guys shouldn't waste ur energy without being sure. im not a critic cuz u guys are good. it's just a tip

  • thanks

  • :)

  • very good vid the back roundhouse kick was a lil of balance and i dnt see many techneaqes ir pattens its just like watching to people kick box lol

  • I liked it boys. A nice spar, without the Hollywood effects. 1st Dan Blackbelt in Tae Kwon-Do (ITF)

  • nice im a yellow in WTF Tae Kwon Do. but this is nice. you've got some nice mechanics. for the most part, there was a lot of speed.

  • Thank you sir.

  • i dont really know what to say. I practice shorin-ryu karate, i guess ill say that...

  • What a load of crap!

  • i see no wing chun at all

  • oh yeah and if you ever through that slow ass hook kick at me id break your leg. that shit is slow and weak boy

  • Your techniques need a lot of work. Taekwondo kicking techniques even at 15% would have the basic "snap" that even considers it taekwondo in the beginning..

  • sloppy technique, no power, and no form. kinda sad really

  • When you do kicks where your hip is rotated (like roundhouses) make sure you bring your leg back in before you put it down. I thought you said you do way too many locks and holds? Didn't see, but good job.

  • Wow is it normal in your fighting style to have ur hands down like that??? I would rape your ass ina fight.

  • one up and one down at long range, and both up at close distance.

  • Keyboard warriors like you usually get owned in real fights.

  • que ridiculice eh essa...

insultaram o Tae Kwon Do por favor vcs sao umas aberraçoes tudo bem que nao so nenhum mestre mais voceis sao muito ruim nem tem elasticidade pra dar um chute direito...

    sua amebas

  • x_X

    purple....your are from ATA

    sux...

    very bored

  • Ah looks like you guys had fun. Was this outside a university campus or something? Or at a park?

  • It was in the middle of my old apartment complex in dallas.

  • jaja piece of shyt

  • And you anime fag think you can do better? It's friendly sparring for a reason stupid.

  • nice friendly sparring, good to see people having fun, and not trying to demolish each other. The skinnier tan guy has some pretty kicks (roundhouse-back spin combo) where as the whiter guy seems to like to look for openings. good stuff

  • thanks. Im the guy in the black pants.

  • pfff la unica wea que vi es puro taekwondo,no vi nin un puño de wing chun ningun low kick de muay thai y nada de lucha en el piso

  • I respect you guys as martial artists after reading the intro comment. Good job guys, and I hope you go far with your martial arts. God bless.

  • good job keep doing what you do just work on the feet movment and keep your hands up but u guys did a good job

  • HAHA!! how slow is he my kicks are 10 times that speed well atleast 6 times faster and lols not good footwork or head movement

  • 15% POWER, to those who cant read

half the people who criticize your techniques have never even been in a real fight, and only have sparred with gear on. Ocverall nice video, keep your hands up near your head, if you see a kick coming side step dont block with arms, more combination punching is needed. If you see a high kick coming, that is always an opportunity to shoot in. Most fights end up on the grounds anways. Good luck, i hope the constructive commenting helped

  • I notice that most people have no clue about what is going on. Most have none of there own martial arts on youtube. Besides, Its very clear who had advice and who has the rocky balboa type of advice.

  • one thing. NEVER BLOCK A KICK WITH UR ARMS!

  • Then how are you gonna block a kick to the head? With your teeth?! Shut up man!

  • no.ur gonna move dumbass.

  • Riiiiiiight. Then how do you block? With your face like Rocky Balboa!?

  • That's how I do it :)

  • u MOVE!

  • I lean backwards.

  • yea u can do that too. but you gotta have good balance to come back to your stance from a lean back to block a kick to the face.

  • I do Muay Thai, and I use the long stance. So leaning back is no problem.

  • yea i do muay thai too. where do you practice?

  • I used to go to Boonchu in Australia. Now I practice at Ultimate Muay Thai in NY.

  • oh thas cool.i practice in san diego, my sensei is like a muay thai master, he goes to thailand every year. and brings back professional muay thai fighters. his name is chris mechling and he has a bro nick mechling

  • Boonchu? You mean John Wayne Parr's gym? Yes?

  • Yep. JWP to the western world. You've heard of him?

  • You actually have a point. Remember Melvin Guillard vs Josh Burkman in TUF 2. Burkman was able to block that kick but his arm paid a huge price.

  • I know that this was only for you guys to see what you need to work on and what not, but a note for the future. When in a real fight, don't put your arms out to block. You cause more of a risk of breaking your own arms.

  • hey guys im just gonna put some things that you need to work on first watch where your guard is so that it protects your head, use some combinations as soon as you throw a kick or a punch follow up with another, get some good conditioning and be lighter on your toes and finally only use spining kicks when the person is running or is moving quite fast towards you or is doing a kick hope this helps you guys.

  • good effort guys n respect for havin the cohonies for postin this. but instead of being white, blue n purple belts in many martial arts, shouldn't u just train for a black in one then move onto diff styles?

  • Thanks for having the courage to post this since so many are so eager to criticize. Good luck with your practice!

  • These guys obviously don't know how to fight, pretty sad technique and application

  • Why have you guys trained in so many styles? You need to concentrate on one thing instead of being jacks of all trades and masters of none. By moving around styles you don't learn enough of any one discipline. 5 blue belts does not a black belt make. Save high kicks for the end of a combo or they'll hardly ever land. Don't follow through and turn your back after a kick or you will literally get your ass kicked.

  • Gotcha. I think its just been a matter of staying in one town/city long enough to get all the way to a black belt in one style.

  • Nice but the kicks could have been faster

  • they kicks are so slooowllyy

  • I would say the brown shorts wins. is the protective gear that necessary if your only giving 15%?

  • nice! but maybe go all out next time?

  • omg leave these ppl alone they are just trying ti have fun, so weak ass shit yaself u sillsmellyoldmark

    PIE

  • w.e mathafucka im from killacali no 1 its weak around theDEAD VALLEY so dont trip foo n if u think im weak step up 2 S.G.V n show me wut u got before i take ur soul

  • :D

    point sparring is fun :P

although i can never give myself the chance of hitting a friend while sparring ><

LOL...this vid reminds of streetfights :P

but the people using imoral criticism in the comments are singular-minded o.o

if i was up there with you guys i'd have fun sparring :D

but serious sparring can be fun also :P

    keep training yo ^^

  • WEAK ASS SHIT GOT THE BULLETZ N THE,223REM N AK;S READY 4 anymathafucka FUCK ull weak ppl

  • form guys realli. i dont noe bout lost track so i reserve comment but da TKD dude u gotta sharpen up yr form. u gt wat i mean? btw any1 noe anthing else bout dis lost track stuff?

  • WEAK ASS SHIT

  • who cares bout this asshole mexican beanie? obviously he has no passion in life to show everyone, he's just jealous that someone has talent....

  • Oh, what a surprise not one video on your page, let alone any actual martial arts or fight vids. Don't put down what you don't understand please.

  • So was your mom last night. Tell her to tighten up her clit before you shoot your mouth off like that again.

  • Man, sparring partners are so hard to come by.

    A little constructive criticism:

Try not to lean over as much because in order to kick, you're going to have to shift your body weight, which can be a sign to your opponent that you're kicking and give him enough time to move out of the way.

And try keeping your hands up when you kick.

I've been working on that myself.

But other than that, this is pretty sweet.

Keep training, and don't let the biased assholes stop or slow you down.

    Good luck-

  • thank you

  • pls, more training. what are you 8th gup, 6th gup AT BEST. i hope anyway. guy in white need hip flexer training. and keep your hands up dammit!

  • you know not all styles of figthing require one to keep his hands in front of himself. my dad has been teaching the same positioning of the guy in black pants

  • isnt that boxing tho? i did kickboxing for a while and i fought some dude w/ a style similar to that. for the record, i dont agree w/ mixing martial arts. off the record, im addicted to ufc lol

  • true not all martial arts require you to keep your hands up but they also dont have you flailing your arms around when you kick the title is tae kwon do in tkd your arms are almost always close to your body...

  • did the word "FUN" ever cross anyones mind?

  • thank you dude

  • is the guy urinating in a circle to mark his ground, the bow was crap, i would have kicked him before his head had come up, keep your eyes on your target lol

  • hey the one with the brown pants was kinda funny

but in the good way :P

it sure was a friendly match so just keep practicing!!

oh and the one with the black pants almost conects one in tha face lol

  • thank you

  • Ah...finally nice to see two freinds sparring and they are enjoying themselves there is no pressure of winning at all just about showing each others skills and having fun.

I ejoyed watching this video great job you two I hope you continue your trainning.

  • thank you

  • there is a purple belt in tkd... america is messing up korean system of tkd... i hate it cuz in kore tkd is much more intence then here in america

  • well, taekwondo is most famous for it's dynamic kicks...its mostly about kicking...so...yeah.

nice friendly sparring there, pretty cool to watch.

  • ur stance looks kindal ike pi gua at times

  • you should change the title of this video. I was hoping to see some mi zhong.

  • 15% power usage and light contact. Of course its going to be slower than normal.

  • Good Sparring:D

You're much too slow and you're distance....

  • i heard there is a martial arts that is a cross between TKD and wing chun. Anyone got info on that?

  • Good work...helps display technique because you are moving slow...cool

  • good sparring guys :D like Apk1346 said, its good that u train on ur own time too.

  • I dont see the point in going to school to train, if you dont practice it at home. Just going to class is not enough. Thank you for your kind words of encouragement.

  • i can tell you do tae kwon do from all the kicks and lack of punches =/

  • I do ta sheng men. one of my friends who does ta sheng men as well said he mixed it with combat hapkido and had excellent results. just thought you might want to know.

  • Not familiar really with Ta Sheng Men. Enlighten me.

  • Great that you practice on your own, from what i saw you have good angle use, just watch your distance espetialy for kick combinations, so that you range increases. and just try to maintain your focious throught.

  • lol nice gj on belt test today

  • ha ha ha thx
