The problem with Muhammad having sex with a 9-year-old is that Muhammad is often held up as a model of exemplary behavior who should be emulated. And also that islam is timeless, and a religion for ALL mankind, and the rules will never be changed since Muhammad is the final prophet. The two facts are not compatible, since having sex with 9-year-olds is not accepted very well in the modern world.
