@ostarvideos the D-pad on the 360's controller is a disk. instead of it just being four buttons, you can roll it around which makes it really difficult in doing combo's. if you'd ever want a good controller, they came out with one that you can twist, and it stays still instead of it rolling. which makes it easier for fighting games

its frustrating that people hate this game JUST BECAUSE the fatalities are dubbed down. this really is a fun game and i suggest it to anyone who like fighting games....though i would suggest SSF4 over this

I agree with you on the characters, man. They should have put Robin, Static Shock, Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Metallo, Doomsday, Captain Atom, Brainiac, Green Arrow, Cyborg, Beast-Boy ect for DC. Mortal Kombat was going down in sales so they thought they could merge it with a famous brand that everyone knows: DC, to keep up with other fighting games. MKvsDC sold more than 2 million units so both companies were really happy. It's the second highest MK sales game.
But they did put the best characters from the two companys in the game. I saying it would not hurt to add more from each side or add a DLC pack or two.
but to be fair mk is midways only massively poular game so explains why midway went down the pan although i have high hopes for mk9 seeing as this was just a side project

mk vs dc is fantastic but its gonna be difficult to win online way 2 many strategic play and spamming but still top draw cant wait for another MK though i totally played this to death
They are all different. I, myself, prefer soul calibur, street fighter doesn't have much characters and no character customization. MK vs DC is really slow, and is a big turn down, since the others are fast paced and all. Another good fighting game to get besides those is marvel vs capcom 2 on the arcade, it's great.
only "complaint" I have with the game is that the violence was toned done a bit but like he said I can understand why overall a great game to bad I can't afford a PS3 or 360 so I have to live of playing at my friend's

The game is fun, playable at least. The FATALITIES SUCK tho and there pretty easy with the PS3, really hard with the XBOX. If u play the arcade all you get when you finish is a picture with lame dialogue... Fun to play at a friends, wouldn't recommend to buy it.
the game is good but online plfind alot of people who will just spam one move that you cant block until you die plus raiden the flash and the green lantern are all overpowered. raiden is just spamming lightning bolt and vicinity blast. Flash is a pain due to the fact he has almost no delay time and the green lantern like raiden is just spam one or 2 moves till you die

Also just to clear the air, Captain Marvel is NOT from Marvel Comics. he was created by Fawcett Comics and was later picked up by DC Comics after DC sued claiming Captain Marvel was a rip-off of Superman. Being a superhero comic fan/nerd, I found this game to be very enjoyable, although I think the creators could have put more thought into Shang Tsung's and Batman's fatalities/heroic brutalities.
the eyes being yellow is a result of kombat rage that infects the characters. That is the reason that the two sides dont just talk but instead start fighting each other.

I actually like this game do agree however it could have been much better, such as everyones favorite issue with the game (The Fatalities) Not only was the violence lowered but even a Fatality such as joker shooting someone in the head the camera moves to block it out, yet they show joker thow cards into someones head. I dont know what the deal is about that but overall, the game is fairly decent. I'd say ***.5 out of ***** depends on your taste reallly
i think this game is OK but it could be a lot better. i have 2 major problems with it, the fatalities and captin marvil. they need to bring back the gratuitusly bloody fatalities that all MK fans have come to love (DC fans need to shut the hell up and let us rip out spines, blow up charectors in various ways and just streight up kill them like were used to with MK). if this is supposed to be MK vs DC y is captin MARVIL in it? did they run out of suitable dc charectors? they already have superman

You would be suprised, I had an april fools gamepro that showed fatalities in sf2. This was along time ago but they show ryu with a white mask on cutting off someones head, another one showed guile shooting a handcuffed zangief in the face with a pistol. Im sure mk vs sf will never happen but if it did the street fighters could be just as brutal as the mk cast.

I want it, mostly cause I want to see the Joker beat the crap out of Superman and/or kill him, or see Batman beat the crap out of Catwoman (I hate Superman, but I like Batman, cause he doesn't have any cocky superpowers). And I also want to play as the Flash, of course. =P

This game is OK. but its frustrating the gameplay bcause and i dont like the concept of the game. it had been better if it was Mortal Kombat vs Killer Instinct. Mk vs DC gets boring after a week....

not exactly. i think both type are great. and yes. to be honest i think 2d fight is better, but thats not the problem. the problem is that dc and mk has nothing to do one from another. they sould made a mk vs killer insting instead

I guess that depends on what you're looking at. Every man's opinion to his own, I guess.
I mean, granted, in some ways it doesn't feel like a typical MK title. But at the same time, it does have a charm to it.
I can't admit to actually owning the game (don't have the right console), but it is still interesting.
And besides, maybe we'll be getting a much more traditional MK title next time.

i think this game is OK but it could be a lot better. i have 2 major problems with it, the fatalities and captin marvil. they need to bring back the gratuitusly bloody fatalities that all MK fans have come to love (DC fans need to shut the hell up and let us rip out spines, blow up charectors in various ways and just streight up kill them like were used to with MK). if this is supposed to be MK vs DC y is captin MARVIL in it? did they run out of suitable dc charectors? they already have superman

You would be suprised, I had an april fools gamepro that showed fatalities in sf2. This was along time ago but they show ryu with a white mask on cutting off someones head, another one showed guile shooting a handcuffed zangief in the face with a pistol. Im sure mk vs sf will never happen but if it did the street fighters could be just as brutal as the mk cast.

I was kind of worried. My buddy is somewhat of a Mortal Kombat fan but a HUGE DC fan and had been eying this game for a while (for his ps3.) I got it for him for his birthday but I'm worried... is it a good game? Did I get him a good present? I really hope so.

mortal kombat vs marvel is kind of another mismatch because once again the mk fighters powers r jus too great u can select subzero and jus destroy any marvel character what r u gonna do pick spiderman and shoot webs at him seriously they jus don't have enough powers to compete. wolverines power claws. cyclops what's his power laser, the imbalance in the power would b the game's downfall won guy who uses his hands and the next guy who shoots laser beams there isn't enough balance

i think dc is the only possible good match up with the mk fighters because they r the only people who can match their power i mean seriously scorpion will kick any streetfighter characters ass. and plus the streetfighter characters don't really focus on fighting combos as much as a tekken or mk or dead or alive. now if u want a good cross over then how bout tekken and dead or alive.
