  • Sable brushes are very expensive. Synthetic are cheaper and work as good as sable.

  • Great video! Very informative...I actually didn't know that Arches made brushes! But, I think it's supposed to be pronounced "Arsh". DS watercolors are awesome. Thanks!

    You're right; it -is- pronounced 'Arsh', which kind of makes this so-called fine art store seem less legit if they can't even get the names of their products correct.

  • one thing i do not belive was mentioned is that if you want to really preserve the tip on the kolinsky sable brushes dip them in some gum arabic which is what the gum is that is used on them for shipping. also do NOT leave the brushes in the water for long when disolving them!!
