  • There was absolutely no structure here. Where is the iqa'? This is just a noisy show-off of a performance...too busy and unfocused. Whatever happened to playing the real thing? Study the iqa' properly and leave this grandstanding with the kids where it belongs.

  • @oudguy Welcome to western music. We make our own iqa 'at.

  • Sounds like an Indian tabla . . . Truly AMAZING !

  • nice!

  • The REAL instrument is the person.

  • @Nigriff yeah but the instrument also is perfect sounding 2x Plus, nice play indeed 7******* you got it man!

  • Great sound David.I got one Brazilian a bit bigger in diameter, and practicing on it.Where is the last part of the clip,do you have it all ?

  • LOVE IT!

  • Simply OUT - STANDING !!! CONGRATULATIONS DUDE! YOU'RE STANDING OUT :-)

  • a conga skin tambourine?

  • @Xolin11 I don't know what a "conga skin" is. I don't play conga. This is a Riq, a unique type of tambourine, played in many countries doing arabic-style music. Small diameter, with heavy brass jingles. Traditionally covered with fish or goat skin. Modern instruments often have synthetic heads like this to maintain nice tight tone. Natural skins sound good, but soften in humidity. This seems like a very high quality instrument. If you buy a riq beware. Many others are junk.

  • genial

  • Beautiful......

  • Hahahahahahahahahahaha

    bitchobitch makes me laugh.

  • yeah. bitch has no idea what he/she is talking about. its called a solo for a reason....

  • ...ummm...wow...hush now

  • booyaah

  • Anyone know what brand of riq he is playing and where I can get one.

  • yeah it is a Kevork standard model for around 350 us dolars

  • and? so this guy is no good now cuz those others guys are old school?

  • Did you ever hear of Michel Merhij? Ibrahim Afifi? Old school is where it's at.

  • GREAT!

  • that was neat and all, but it looks like the cross between a darabuka and a tambourine, you good at it, but not somethin i'd like to play xD

  • Man, his playing is inspiring. That instrument takes so much discipline.

  • That was fantastic, i`m inspired to get one.Its even more fun than tapping away on your thigh`s. `HURRAY!!`

  • I agree that Bud Rich and Jo Jo Mayer are great but...On the drum set !!!! Dude, this is a Tambourine (Riq) and David Kuckherman plays like a master ( Glen Velez ,N. Scott Robinson ETC ). If you can play better than him, you should be on the list above, but plase respect a good player !!! Hey, David I hope to meet you some day, your DVDs are excellent !

  • very boring and nervous? too much ego? where are you getting this crap from? have you even watched the video? do you know anything about music? needs a psicanilist? Its all about the drumming man, respect it! This guy can session more drums than you can name dude!

  • Kuckhermann is one of the best framedrummer...right behind Glen Velez

  • One of the problems with making it possible for lazy-minded nitwits to post their opiions on musical performance is that they always start psychoanalyzing the performer, often making it seem pathetic that anyone would try to become good at playing, as if talent is some kind of sad character defect. I'm NOT saying that the critic is negative or anything as silly as that: I mean they are very bad critics who push forward worthless opinions. " Boring? nervous?" The critic is.

  • Boring? What stupid critters we've got here...I'd be willing to bet you can't even play, children! ;) David rocks on so many drums he would make you cry...lol.

  • yes, practiced a LOT, good technique...too much machine gun-sound

  • Wow! Where I can buy a riq like your? Thanks, ciao! Cristiano

  • The maker´s name is Kevork, he lives in Lebanon.

  • Thank you so much, his instruments are real masterworks! Best, Cristiano

    Vitalik from SPB...;)

  • dooooooope. this guy kicks my ass.

  • Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow.
