Whenever I see this video, I always wonder how that spear goes through Beatrice into the ground behind without slicing her in half. That blade is almost as big as she is, but she only has the handle through her?!

@PhreakOutBigTime i honestly think that the video got it wrong. I'm pretty sure in the original game she receives a wound that nearly cut's her in half (from beneath her right shoulder all the way down to left buttock) so the spear probably doesn't go all the way through; the spear goes only as far as the bladed bit and not right down to the pole bit (like it's shown in the video), hence the large scare described in the game... hope that makes sense.

I was under the impression she summoned the 2 behind her before the battle even began, before Virgilia became herself again so she would have had no way of knowing. Then summoned the other 2 that are noticed, as the battle actually began. Is that wrong?

There were 4 towers from the very beginning which killed Virgilia. Beatrice revived her and kept playing the game. Just watch the anime.

When Beatrice summoned the towers, she actually summoned four, not two, and killed Virgilia. She then immediately revived her and pretended to lose the battle, after which she made Virgilia remember that she actually already died and couldn't have won, thus "repairing" the situation. Or something like that.

She never pretended to lose. She decided to prolong the fight to see how she would have fared if she didn't use the 4 tower tactic. There's a discussion between her and Ronove where she mentions that the fight was indeed hard, and if she hadn't done the 4 towers in the beginning she would have lost for real.

Oh, and about the Anime battle...yeah, it was simplified, but that's not bad. It was kind of overkill to summon Odin and kill Beato that way...at least that battle is more pratical.

You know those two towers Beato summoned at the beginning? Beato summoned another one behind Virgilia that she didn't see. That tower shot more holes in Virgilia than swiss cheese and killed her, but Beato revived her directly after and resumed the battle for fun, even though she had won already.
