  • My very first race I ever watched, just a few days before my 6th birthday! My kindergarten teacher was a big Mark Martin fan and taught us about him and racing and it went from there. I've been hooked on it ever since haha.

  • Was that #31 car an RCR car? What a coincidence that would be for Ward Burton having driven the same car his younger brother now drives... we already know the #31's current sponsor, Caterpillar, was with Ward (on Bill Davis's #22) before hooking up with Jeff ON RCR's #31...

  • @texacobigred42 No, that was AG Dillard I believe, his old Busch Series team. The team would close after 1995 (Burton left for Bill Davis before the year ended) and RCR would get the #31 for 1996 with Skinner in a few races, then full time in 1997.

  • He messed up he said Jeff Burstin.

  • Loy Allen was terrible. He turned three fast laps in his NASCAR career. His 94 lap 1 qualifying lap, his lap 2 qualifying lap, and lap 1 of the 94 500. Everything else was BRUTAL. The only bigger disappointment was Andy Belmont, who I remember appearing on QVC after a race in 93, announcing his imminent arrival to WC racing, selling his "Autographed 1:64 Racing Champions diecast replica." I really should have apologized to my mom for making her buy that.....

  • @snappy452 Loy Allen Jr was Ryan Newman with one difference, Loy was cut down by injuries from Hoosier tire blow-outs. Could have been a very good driver if he had the Goodyears in his rookie season.

  • Is there a specific name for this piece of music?

  • @penske369 yeah, fucking awesome :D

  • do you consider me eye candy? im tasty :)

  • steve kinser was a poor choice for the 26 ride. as soon as hut stricklin took over hut posted 3 consecutive top 10s

  • Actually, according to racing-reference, those three straight top 10s came after Stricklin finished 33rd, 24th, and 33rd in his first three rides with the 26 team.

  • thanks for the info. Its just wierd how they expected Kinser to go from sprint cars right to winston cup. (with some iroc experience) he could have used about a dozen races of busch series experience at the minimum before getting into a cup ride

  • Very true, carguy; I'd like to believe Kinser would have done much better if he'd been given a Busch offer beforehand.

  • Who bought the team?

  • The team just up and folded after '95. Ricky Rudd got most of the equipment.

  • I heard it was sold by Bernstein, not folded.

  • I miss Ken Squire gushing over Dave Marcis' consecutive Daytona 500s.

  • who the hell is Davy Jones

  • HES A PIMP!

  • and a road racer

  • And in The Monkees.

  • hahaha that also!

  • He won the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1996 along with Manuel Reuter and Alexander Wurz. He also made occasional starts in CART and the IRL.

  • WHO THE HELL IS BEN HESS!!!!! lmao i wonder how many guys from the 07 500 we will forget. lol kyle busch WHO IS THAT! jk.

  • Hess ran in Cup from '89 to '95. I think this race was his last Cup run. He won the ARCA 200 at Daytona in 1989 and 1991.

  • where did u c ben hess??

  • row 13

  • Bummer Steve Kinser started 42nd...finished 42nd...oh well
