Avidyne has an enhanced TAWS option available for the Cirrus with the Audible annunciations "pull up", "terrain", "500", "Squeaker", etc. You can also get this feature through a 396 or 496 wired into the audio panel.

I noticed an altitude callout at 500ft. Is that, radar altitude, autopilot, or what? The SR20 I fly doesn't have that.

I think it is a frame refresh issue with the video. I've never seen the softkeys flash as the video depicts.

Why would you want something in a central position? You appreciate the room avaiable in front of you especially on a long day of flying. Side sticks are now found in many new a/c including Airbus.
