You don't really show exactly how to get a good tone and you use two different amps and an effects pedal so it's hard to understand where you're going...
@jkielq91 : A chorus pedal sort of does the same thing. From what I know (I may or may not be wrong) a chorus pedal simply octaves what your playing to make it sound huge, Casey's harmonizer is set to play a 12th of a semitone above and below the note. A chorus pedal will give pretty much the same sound though.
@philipsanglof : There's a version with a whammy and one without, just go with what's comfortable for you I guess. I might get the trem one because I already have an Ibanez RGA32 in natural oil finish which is a fixed bridge.
nice vid, I see you took the "heroes" vid down, but played some of it here. youve got a great song there, i look forward to hearing your completed version.
what trem system is that? guitar? stock pickups? (sorry on the first guitar, the "reaper" i think the triple humbuckers are too ugly hehe pretty great tone tho :D
Hey man, thanks for the tips maybe next time you're bored do a pickup selection one? I dunno just an idea, and what pup did you replace the stock kramer one with!?
your playing has so much feel to it, I have been trying to get that for like a year now it is truely something that takes a certain talent, great playing mate.
Hey great stuff....great tone. Always a pleasure to listen and watch your stuff man. A nice follow up to this might be how your capturing the great tone on Youtube? Maybe tell us how your recording setup is? Curiousity...Thanks!
@sticktrix1 Can you tell if Steve Via is using a detuned harmonizer in his jemini pedal demo @ 5:15 in the vid? It sounds like a chorus but better and even sounds good with distortion just like yours. do i need the harmonizer and which one should i buy to get this amazing effect that will thicken up my metal tone? Thanks for the awesome video. 2 thumbs :)
@UnpacifiedResistance It is a chorus, but I'm not sure of what. If you make good settings on a chorus pedal, you can easily reach that chorus tone that is good for distortion-Zakk Wylde uses it too, but a bit cranked up. I believe you should thicken the Depth of the chorus up, while you should enlow speed and level.
A bit a phase in the harmonizer it sounded ... love that 80s tone man! Love that white Kramer, is it? I just hate messing with the Floyds though ... great videos bro! Rock on --
help help i have a question which no matter how i search i find no answer, i ave a guitar an old one, and while in another country i got a cable from the guitar to my amp but the head phone inlet on the guitar is not headphone inlet but a large round laptop tv out socket looking inlet socket, wat is it called so I know what to buy, i live in a country where music shops are far apart so asking is hard to do,

Hey, I love your videos. I have a couple of questions though.
1 - Is what you do with the harmoniser not the exact same thing a chorus effect would do? Or am I miss understanding some thing?
2 - Do you recommend getting a multi effects unit, for example the Vox Tonelab, or buying all the effects as separate pedals?

when you said your using a 'harmonizor', to me it sounds like a heavy chorus that is slighty detuned.
