Some Parts of The Game Are Realistic In A Way That It Shouldn't Be. They Shoulda Remembered That This Is Still A Video Game And Sometimes Realism Can Ruin It.

I'm Still Thinking About Buying This Game, Though. I Really Tried To Give A Arma II A Chance, But It Just Seems Hopeless...

And BTW, Golfer, Can You Answer Some Questions For Me? Did The Patches Fix The Performance In Any Way? Is The Online Community That Big? Thanks. :-)

yo bro,

the patch fixed the game yes and no. yes, because i have seen a noticably higher frame rate. and no, becuase now online requires you to download ALL the content from each of the servers, where as earlier, you could just go in and play and it would temporarily download the map when you clicked "connect" or w/e. now u actually have to go to the servers site and physically download the shit into an arma 2 file. so say goodbye to online play.

GET the game. the online is playable but for some reason i think the 1.04 patch is fuckd up. but yeah dude get the game the online is awsomm i'm just sayin that now you actually have to go to the servers website to download the map. (again, this is my experience) just get the game dude. youll be happy you did.

This Games Performance Is A Joke. Even Crysis Runs Much Better With Definitely Better Visuals. The Environment Is Just Not Optimized And The Developers Just Didnt Really Give A Fuck About It. They Probably Thought That Errbody In This World Has An Alienware. Or Maybe They Thought The AW Folks Are The Only Ones Who Are Gonna Buy It.

The Engine Sucks Too. The Textures Just Dont Look That Good. Its Kinda Outdated.

im playing the demo at the minute on a laptop, the spec is AMD ATHLON 64 x 2 DUAL-CORE PROCESSOR QL- 60. (1.9GHz 1 MB L2 cache).

Up to 1408MB ATI RADEON HD 3200 GRAPHICS HYPERMEMORY.

3 GB DDR2

250 GB HDD.

I GOT THE GAME RUNNING ON THIS SETTING.

Quality Preference (VERY LOW)

Interface Resolution (1024 X 768 x 32 )

3D Resolution ( 816 X 612 80% )

This seems to work but graphics are crap tho, that the only thing.

turn up the graphic settings bro! your computer can take it. although you might want ot upgrade that processor. but yeah try to find a sweet balance between graphics and performance.

leeogden wut up man um u helped me out a shit ton bro. just of ur post saying what u got urs to run on. im doing the same now except quality preference is at low. here i was sitting here bummed about buying an expensive rig and not being able to play armed assault 2 and all i had to do was just keep messing with those settings until i found one that worked. now i have arma2 up and running with moderate graphics but great frame rate thanks to u so gracias

basically there's one of two things that are going on.

1. you have a old/slow pc and can't run this game at a suitable frame rate therefore causing choppy pictures.

2. your're literally getting over 250 frames per second (which i highly doubt) and that could literally cause a "matrix" sort of game. haha.
