This was before Marco Polo reached China from Europe and more than two centuries before Columbus sailed to the New World.

I'm sure Tibet wasn't a very nice then as it certainly looks poor but time moves on. The Dalai wasn't in charge then and I'm sure he's learned a lot during his sojourn in the West. I have heard him speak nothing but sense.
I'm sure they will all will be able to do much better now, 50 years on, given the chance, so perhaps China will be kind enough to leave and let them have their independence.

In 1930s-40s, when Japanese occupied China, lots of people were killed, the names cannot be confirmed. Similarly, North American Indians were virtually eliminated from Planet Earth, however, how many names can you collect?
