On this day 19th of February in 1912 at around 3.30am Tom Crean completed a 35 mile solo march to Hut Point, Antarctica, to save the lives of Edward Evans and William Lashly. An inspiring example of human endurance and perseverance. To Mr Tom Crean.

Lovely upload.Tom was not the eldest of the family,his parents married in 1867 and their first son,Hugh,was born the end of that year.
