  • can you not see any kind of similarity in those two lines

  • 4:06 are you cereal

  • We have experienced many warm and cold periods since the last ice age inc. The Nordic Bronze Age was characterized by a warm climate that began with a climate change around 2700 BC. The warm climate permitted a relatively dense population and good farming, for example grapes were grown in Scandinavia at this time.

  • @ndrthrdr1

good arguement..... next time make a valid point.

  • China airlines refuse to pay EU carbon charge

Chinese airlines will not pay a charge on carbon emissions imposed by the European Union from January 1

"China, of course, will not cooperate with the European Union on the ETS (emissions trading scheme)," said Chai Haibo, deputy secretary-general of the China Air Transport Association, which represents the country's airlines.

He said the Chinese government was considering "counter-measures" against the European Union

  • This video is just more misleading propaganda originating with big oil. They want us to keep buying their products and couldn't care less about the future of the planet.

  • Mount Kilimanjaro is an active volcano

  • @Nathan21122012

    Where you got that from?

Kilimanjaro, with its three volcanic cones, Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira, is a dormant volcano.

According to wikipedia. dormant does not mean active.

  • Al Gore's climate scientist studies have shown that capitalist countries CO2 emissions, are 1000000 times more harmful than CO2 emissions from communist countries like China

  • /watch?v=Z7XxUzRTHpA

  • Its summer (Australia)......Its fucking 20 degrees C right now....... I'm freezing my balls off IN SUMMER!!!! fuck you Al Gore you're full of shit. And boy do I love the media, if just 1 day is 1/2 degree C above average, they start screaming "global warming!!!!" But when its week after week of record low temperatures not a fucking peep out of the Al Gore dick sucking cunts.

  • a single volcano emits more that 1000 years of human history. But I guess you cannot tax volcanoes...... Would be cool to see al gore make a presentation and everyone there standing up and prooving his "facts" wrong

  • @Veikra

"a single volcano emits more that 1000 years of human history."

Emits more what tha(n)t 1000 years of human history?

  • @BeondaPale yes thank you. I made the mistake of not rereading what I wrote. Also, not my native language

  • @Veikra

    Let me try to help.

"a single volcano emits more (orange juice) than 1000 years of human history."

"a single volcano emits more (jokes) than 1000 years of human history."

"a single volcano emits more (CO2) than 1000 years of human history."

all of these are full sentences, but none of these are true

  • Al Gore & his carbon gangsters from Wall St emit enough emissions from their lavish polluting lifestyle it makes Gore's communist Chinese polluters green with envy

  • Clara's Goog2k account has been suspended, the lord's work. Hallelujah!

  • What is going on in the heads of these climate change fanatics, they look at the ice data ( or do they ? ) which clearly shows a 800 – 1300 year lag between temperature rise and the resulting increase in CO2 and conclude that CO2 drives temperature WTF ? in what universe ? Bankerworld I suspect.

My conclusion, there is no point in entering into a debate with them, you can't win ! They have a belief ( religion ) you only have scientific fact, no contest !! religion wins hands down every time.

  • Thank you comrade Gore for jetting around the world warning the world of the dangers of the US's fascist CO2 emissions causing Global Warming that is going to burn the planet up unless we implement carbon taxes on the fascist USA to begin the cool down cycle and save the world. China is a sterling example of environmental stewardship, human rights, and adopting green technologies to save the planet.

  • @JoeJohn90 "comrade" Gore? LOL!

Gore has done more to raise awareness than anyone. Get real. Try reading a book or two about this issue before posting more babble. Ugh!

  • Thanks to Al Gore many hundreds of millions now understand that we are putting future generations at risk by continuing to pollute the atmosphere. Business-as-usual is destructive. We MUST change the way we produce and use energy. And for those that want to be critical of Gore, remember that he is NOT the sources of the science. Look to NAS, NASA, AAAS, NCAR, SOCC, AGU, and others. Read what they have been saying for years. There no credible doubt.

  • @ReduceGHGs Yes there is, in fact there is a great deal of credible doubt.

  • @Vacaiable The uninformed, the deceived, and the delusional have doubts. But CREDIBLE doubt is reserved for those with credible evidence to support their opinion. Where's yours?

I rely on what EVERY respected scientific institution has been saying. Do you have anything MORE reliable? Of course you don't. Here's where you can read the position statements of credible scientific bodies.

Google: Scientific Opinion on Climate Change Wikipedia

No, Wiki isn't a source. The statements are accurate.

  • @ReduceGHGs " I rely on what EVERY respected scientific institution has been saying. " You really are a font of knowledge. Please publish a list here of every institution ( EVERY -note the large letters for emphasise) that publicly as an institution supports the theory of " putting future generations at risk by continuing to pollute the atmosphere etc". You will actually find that very few Universities will take the institutional position you claim, not even the University of East Anglia.

  • @Vacaiable .

You can research this but here is a Wiki site that has many of the respected scientific institutions' position statements.

Google: Scientific Opinion on Climate Change Wikipedia

Wiki isn't a source but the statements are accurate and there are links for additional research.

As for East Anglia email issue, apparently you haven't kept up.

  • Ok so Al Gore is wrong lets beat him with our monkey sticks. This still does not answer why our climate is warming. When you look at the charts you see the global ice ages. Are we to due to encounter an ice age soon. Why not put our monkey sticks down and find a solution. Let's evolve.

  • RE: 'The climate change'

The climate is always changing, but:

Since when the CO2 content in the air hasn't dropped? Is it since 1958 or since 1800?

How far will this go by denying the problem? If we challenge the problem now it will be much more easy and we will have much more time and opportunities rather than 'in the last minute'.

Let the fossil fuel fans show us one single year that they are able to reduce the CO2 by 1ppm in comparison to the previous year and I will become their greatest fan

  • The Carbon lobby made a huge PR mistake by calling it "Anthropogenic Global Warming" first, now they are trying to get out of it because all the record low temperatures happening all over, they are trying to change it to "Climate Change".

COLDEST DECEMBER ON RECORD FOR BRITAIN AND IRELAND! BRITAIN AND IRELAND THANK GLOBAL WARMING!

When to move species struggling with climate change

    .

As climate changes make native habitats unlivable to plants and animals, these species have two choices: Leave or go extinct.

Now, researchers are offering guidance on when conservationists should undertake the last-ditch strategy of transplanting struggling species to new habitats.

  • 82-90% of all statistics are made up on the spot.

  • if you pause this video at 2.20 you will see the graph behind him goes backwars since wen do u we go back in time your an idiot Al Gore

  • Racist, nazi global warming deniers have been lying and telling ignorant people to search "NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration have resisted Freedom of Information Act requests for release of unadjusted raw data and documentation of their adjustments to them" which is a lie being used to smear our plans to implement a carbon tax on the fascist US which will stop global warming and start the global cooling green revolution that China is leading

  • @JoeJohn90 Because we dont believe in a ridiculous idea backed up with false evidence we are 'racist nazis'? Good job. And even say theoretically that CO2 does cause a rise in temperature, we are responsible for a very small percentage of total emmisions, and a carbon tax will only reduce the levels we emit by an extremely small amount, so we would onlyreduce total CO2 emmisions in the atmosphere by such a small percentage that it would be completely insignificant anyway.

  • Ah, Science! Better than Religion, especially the Global Warming Political-Religion!

*Thumbs Up* for Science! It smashes and wholly obliterates the lies of all the rest!

Take that, Al Gore, you anti-Science sheeple-herder! Thinking and Intelligence for the Win!

  • Al Gore's climate scientist studies have shown that capitalist countries CO2 emissions, are 1000000 times more harmful than CO2 emissions from communist countries like China

  • @JoeJohn90 that doesn't even make fucking sense u asshole! CO2 would be the same wherever u find it, no such thing as "1,000,000X" more harmful!!! wtf u're a dumb dumbcock!!!! BTW, communist China and the country of India combined put out slightly more pollutants including CO2 into the air than does the U.S. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!!!!! ASSHOLE!

  • The real problem is deforestation and overpopulation. Trees act as a cooling device. We all know planting trees in big cities has a negative effect on global temperatures. India and China should be ashamed of themselves for being overpopulated. They should be apologetic to the rest of us for causing global warming. We should tax their fertility rates and 100 billion of dollars should be transfer annually from these overpopulated countries to Western countries.

  • John R. Christy has been accused of recanting his position that climate change is neither Anthropogenic nor Catastrophic, but he didn’t. He used two independent data sets, weather balloon and satellite for his findings. (see links in my about me) Later he only stated that there was some anthropogenic impact that could not be predicted 100 years out, but that what we’re doing was good for the plants.

What I think is funny about Al Gore's graph is that at 2:19, it goes back in time :-)

  • The coal burning steam engine was put into operation at Dudley Castle near Coventry in the year 1717. Further humans were burning wood and coal long before that, releasing C02 into the atmosphere.

  • temperature is causing the CO2 to rise, not the other way around

  • I do not believe in HUMAN Global Warming, I put emphasis on the human part because i do recognise that there are changes in the global temperature happening, whether they are caused by Humans is another matter entirely. The amount of greenhouses gases that the enitre human population and its activities produce is so small compared with the grander scale of the planet and its atmosphere that I find it hard to believe we could actually be changing the atmosphere so radically.

  • @MrApplesucksass i agree

  • @MrApplesucksass

"The amount of greenhouses gases that the enitre human population and its activities produce is so small compared with the grander scale of the planet and its atmosphere that I find it hard to believe we could actually be changing the atmosphere so radically."

Yes it is so small on the grander scale that the most important greenhouse gas CO2 in the atmosphere has increased by 40% since the beginning of the industrial revolution.

You can go back to ignoring this fact now

  • @BeondaPale Why is CO2 the most important greenhouse gas? Surely methane or even water vapour. Thank you also for acknowledging that the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is negligible. "In 2009, the CO2 global average concentration in Earth's atmosphere was about 0.0387% by volume" Are you seriously telling me that 0.0387% (the figure that you said has already increased by 40%) will cause the planet so many problems? Since when does 0.0387% of something cause anything to happen

  • @MrApplesucksass

"Why is CO2 the most important greenhouse gas? Surely methane or even water vapour."

Why is water vapor not considered when factoring atmospheric concentrations of gasses?

What is the corrent concentration of methane in our atmosphere?

"Since when does 0.0387% of something cause anything to happen?"

If you had a concentration of .0387% of strichnine in your blood - what would happen to you?

  • @BeondaPale Did you mean strychnine? The amount of CO2 we produce is not enough to cause the changes we are seeing. Human caused Global warming is the real myth. Even if Human Global warming were true, what could we do to stop it. The absurdity to think that if we stop driving cars and live in mud huts will some how save the planet is just backward thinking. Global Warming will happen whether humans are here or not. Its actually quite arrogant to think we are that important.

  • @MrApplesucksass

    Did you mean strychnine? -Yes.

"The amount of CO2 we produce is not enough..." -Yes it is. What changes are we seeing?

"what could we do to stop it." -Change energy sources.

"The absurdity..." -Who said anything about either?

"Global Warming will happen whether..." -True, but not necessarily to the extent that we are causing it to happen now

"Its actually quite arrogant..." - oxygen is in the air because of plants. Are we less important than plants?

  • @BeondaPale Where is the proof that we are producing enough CO2. Changing energy sources is not pratical, as nice as it would to be able to not rely on oil and fossil fuels, the bitter truth is solar, wind and biogas are not pratical alternatives. There is no legitmate proof that we are the main cause for the recent warming of the planet we see now. Im not sure what you were trying say about plants??? I suppose if you like plants that much you could say they are more important than u

  • @MrApplesucksass

"Where is the proof..." -In the measurements and math

"solar, wind and biogas are not.." -nano solar is expected to be cheaper than fossil in 10 years, we are running out of oil and oil causes terrorism

"There is no legitimate proof..." - yes there is

"Im not sure what you were trying say about plants???" - that if plants have changed our atmosphere, why can't we?

  • @BeondaPale It took micro-organisms millions of years to change the planet's atmosphere, humans have only been industrial since the late 1800s! And cheaper does not mean that it will replace oil if it cannot produce the same amount of energy. You cannot just "yes this is" human gloabl warming is still a theory, meaning it is NOT fact. There are no legitimate measurements that have been accepted by the scientific community as FACT. You seem to spend half your life living under a rock!

  • @MrApplesucksass

"It took micro-organisms millions of years to change the planet's atmosphere,"

And in that time they changed the atmosphere dramatically

"humans have only been industrial since the late 1800s"

Early 1800's - and we've burned A WHOLE LOT in the last 170 years, but mostly just in the last century

"You cannot just "yes this is" human gloabl warming is still a theory, meaning it is NOT fact."

There is no other LOGICAL explanation - do you know logic?

  • @BeondaPale There are other reasons. The fact that you don't seem to comprehend that astounds me. You seem so set in your own little green bubble that you can't accept that maybe what you have been told isn't the whole truth! Millions of years vs 170 you really are off your head, the fact that you believe so stubbornly that humans have produced enough greenhouse gases in 70 years to even begin to compare with almost hundreds of millions of years is crazy. People like you scare me.

  • @MrApplesucksass

"to even begin to compare with almost hundreds of millions of years is crazy."

Not almost - the great oxygenation event took more than a billion years. It did not double or triple the amount of oxygen in our atmosphere, but increased it from almost nothing to 21% (where it stands today).

If what I'm saying is crazy, please use some other explanation as to how the amount of CO2 in our atmosphere has increased by 40% over the last 170 years

  • @BeondaPale The reason we see increased CO2 in the Earth's atmosphere is because of the Medieval Warm Period which occurred more than 800 years ago.

  • @MrApplesucksass

"...because of the Medieval Warm Period... "

    How?

  • @BeondaPale If you had watched the video you would understand as they clearly explained that CO2 lags behind temperature

  • @MrApplesucksass

"If you had watched the video you would understand as they clearly explained that CO2 lags behind temperature"

the video is part of a POLEMIC documentary called "The Great Global Warming Swindle" This documentary has been found to have misused and even fabricated data, relied on out-of-date research, employed misleading arguments, and misrepresented science

  • fail at 0:33

  • The scientific debate is over. There is human induced global warming. The vast majority of scientists at every university, in every lab, in every civilized country in the world, believe that there is some level of global warming. The debate now is political! Conservatives perceive Global warming as a liberal cause, and could care less about science. So they are easily duped by junk science. But its not a liberal cause its a scientific one. Open your eyes! Global warming is caused by humans.

  • Global Warming is as made up as Karma, Mother Nature and Mother Earth.. Only idiots believe in this Garbage.. And I thought Christians are crazy.. LOL

  • China tells US to do more on climate change

    By GILLIAN WONG

    ASSOCIATED PRESS

    March 10, 2010

China, the world's largest emitter of heat-trapping greenhouse gases, has said it will cut its "carbon intensity" - a measure of carbon dioxide emissions per unit of production - by 40 percent to 45 percent by 2020, compared with 2005 levels.

  • funny how the news in europe says the states are the biggest emitter china 2nd.

here in holland situation is getting fucked up our deltaworks to protect us from the sea where calculated in 50'till 70's for a spring flood of 4 meters but now i have seen the rapports about sea level rising the maximum 10 years ago they said maximum 40 cm's in 100 years, now they say maximum 120 cm in 100 years.

level rising since the 70's is 30 cm till now. we are now living 2 meters below sea level

  • Climate change causes more frequent and severe snowstorms. Record snowstorms need two things: temperatures below freezing, and very high humidity.

On a planet warmer by a few degrees on average, the Northeast US will still have plenty of days below freezing; the big difference will be warmer seas producing higher levels of moisture in the air — and therefore more severe cold-season storms.

  • @Nightversionn you are an idiot! No really you are an idiot of immense proportions....kill yourself idiot! You can't have it both ways. When it doesn't snow you say global warming...when it snows it's global warming. How futile can your arguement get?

All these beloved graphs are all bunk, if you have the guts to see the truth check out the "Climate Deniers Crock" postings on YouTube, specifically this one, dealing exactly with what you just watched here: v=boj9ccV9htk Debunked, but will YOU change? no

  • Al whore is a faggot

  • A Gore has an agenda in search of data.

    FUCK HIM!!!!!!!!

  • Al Gore is a freak, greedy global warming pimp!

  • Simply not true-telling lies does not help your cause.

  • @Nightversionn they've turned more severe in the last several hundred years? or are we just better at seeing them? man made global warming is a lie. the planet is not in dire need of us doing anything. it warms and cools without our help.

  • @Nightversionn droughts and wild fires are more severe... compared to what? what data do you have of wild fires 300 years ago? 1000 years ago.

  • @Nightversionn Whilst it is easy to identify droughts and wildfires with global warming, not so intuitive is the relation to snow storms, floods and cyclones. The centre of Greenland is one of the coldest places on the planet yet not very much snow falls each year. That is because there is little water vapor left in the atmosphere by the time the air reaches the centre. With the warming oceans more water evaporates from the oceans resulting in more snowfall and flooding.

  • Hmmmm. Maybe its true but thats no reason not to remove the polllutants in the air by getting better cars and energy

  • arm waving and pie-in-the-sky proposals won't work. Read Science and see how all of these things are backfiring and potentially making it worse. CO2 is not a pollutant-man only contribute 4.3% total of it to the atmosphere. The rest is all natural.

  • mauiluver: Wrong! Man-made CO2 is currently added annually 130 times more than all the breathing volcanos on earth combined, to the magnitude of an equivalent 8000 Mount Kilhuea's popping up and breathing. Plant life tries to tackle it every year, but can't take it all away, causing the net increase (can't catch up, like a filter system that's overburdened) and on it goes. All it takes is this tipping of a balance, and we have easily reached that now.

  • @mauiluver yes that's a scientific argument - only <5% so can't cause problems...try drinking a glass of water with 0.0001% of copper in it...you'll be fine as copper in small doses is essential for you...then keep adding a bit more each day...see what happens to you after a few months...

  • @mauiluver good video. But to we really only contribue 4.3% to the co2 in the atmosphere? Ive heard that the ammount of co2 in the atmosphere has doubled the last 50 years. Wouldnt that mean we have contributed more than 4.3% or has the increase of co2 come from elsewhere? I still dont belive the co2 has much impact on the climate as whole

  • @TheNewOldVeteran I do agree that we shouldn't be polluting the air, I don't believe global warming is real. But I'm also not talking about co2 as a pollutant. I think there are ways of doing things better and that those steps should be taken, but just for a cleaner more natural planet not because of global warming. So I agree with you on that, just probably not the same way.

  • what was this programme called?

  • AL WHORE

  • lol

  • is there anywhere on the internet where i could get the graph at 4.04

  • GOOGLE IT

  • @SuperBored10 its ok now ive finished my homework anyway

  • Check the real science Siddis33

The models used by IPCC are badly flawed and that's all they have left. They have quietly gotten rid of the hockey stick graph because it only used cherry picked data and left out most of the relevant data. Only Gore still touts it and he's making a fortune.

He's VP of a company that sells carbon credits, he's in on the electric car scam and charges 200,000 to speak. Altruistic huh.

His mansion power bill is shown to be larger than most small towns. SCAM

  • i respect people's opinions, but factually that is both untrue and illogical.

I'm not sure what electric car scam you are referring to, but if you are confused electric cars are in fact real and useable.

Also check non--biased websites for your facts, because that is quite simply not...true. Sorry if i offended you.

  • They certainly are. I was referring to the pile of cash Al got from the US Gov't that went into an electric car company in Europe.

Now guess who's a major shareholder in that little enterprise. Yup...Our pal Al. Same guy that buys his Carbon Credits from his own company but oh...doesn't actually buy them as they are provided as an employee perk. Als done quite well for himself with the whole AGW scam and he's busily rounding up every big buck investor he can.

  • electric cars came about during the same time as gas engine vehicles. The advertising won over to the side of gas engines and electric cars were lost and swept under the rug. MONEY MONEY MONEY. Why don't people EVER understand. It's about the MONEY.

  • Not quite. Range was poor on Electric Vehicles back then and for the most part that problem is not solved. This is why Extended Range Electric Vehicles are the future. Think plug-in Hybrid but the generator can be anything. Solar cells, compressed natural gas, Hydrogen fuel cells, anything really which can produce electricity cleanly and efficiently.

  • Algore worked a deal giving "Fisker Motors" $500,000,000.00 in U.S. tax money to build electric cars that retail for $100,000.00 each.

The company says it will outsource all of the building of the cars to another company in Finland and Denmark. So your tax dollars are going out of the country to prop up companies that are going to support the Scandanavian economies.

I have to wonder how much of that 500 million is going to Gores personal accounts.

  • i'm at 0:35. video is already bollocks. yes temp was already rising, but humans are having a rapidly increasing impact on the whole. see the sharp increase after 1900? effects of industrial revolution. as for the post war economic boom, lets face it, werent as many economically active polluting grown men in the world. also germany is no longer a world superpower at this point, + so less emissions. point is, if u look at that graph when it leads up to more recent years, human impact is obvious.

  • As a scientist I was taught that "Correlation is not Causation." Everyone agrees that 80% of green house gas is water vapor. Man contributes about 5% of the carbon dioxide by weight into the atmosphere every year. 20% of the remaining green house gas after water vapor is CO2, then man contributes less than 1% of the global warming gases (0.20 x 0.05). If man put zero CO2 into the atmosphere, that would lower the CO2 in the air by only four thousandth of one percent. Bill

  • Ok mauliver, seems you know what you're talking about here, but I'm kinda lost. How did you reach four thousandth of one percent with those calculations? At the moment I am looking to write up a dissertation on whether mankind is affecting climate change significantly, or whether global warming is a natural process of which we have very little control over or effect upon. I have to compare and contrast 3 articles of different views, and really I need all the background knowledge I can get.

  • @mauiluver I am a scientist in progress yet, but i can think of this.. what makes us believe 5% is not a great impact? our limited brains tend do rationalize quantities by our standards of what is a lot or too little but, does nature comands itself by these same standards? Of course not. Maybe a 0.03%could make the difference. I'm into the anti-reductionism cientific flow. Natural laws are not always based on math models, i think. I would give Gore a little credit.

  • @mauiluver gee your smart - you must be a mathematician. 5% of natural level every year huhhh? That would only take 20 years to reach what is already there then....why do people who can't do math think they can beat all the published scientists in argument...go back to speical school you moron

  • How egotistical of you to think that we, the human kind can actually change nature..

Can you tell me how the temperature increased before there were any hummers or humans? Was it perhaps the methane released by Dinosaurs?? Meanwhile, we'll all start riding around in bicycles and using candles and wood to cook- no more electricity..

You go first. Get rid of your car and all the electricity in your home and we'll follow.

  • aldridkg, i hardly think i'm being egotystical. Of course i don't think that we humans alone are responsible for global warming, that would be absurd. At the time of my first comment on this video, I did strongly believe that mankind had made a real impact on the already occurring natural process of global warming. However, as I've looked further into the subject, I'm not so sure of whether human impact is in fact significant. And as for your last statement - Would you follow? Really?

  • Well, it looks like you have actually considered rationality vs. blind emotionalism on this matter. While there is not one person out there that would disagree with our need to conserve, recycle, etc. we disagree at the expense of regressing in our living standards. For example, we have no problem using alternative fuels if there were any & dat were affordable. Forcing people to go from cars to bicycles by taxing them to death is not going to work, simply because it's unfair & repressive.

  • agreed and agreed.
