Thank you for sharing this with us, Edward. This is one of my favorite songs, in one of its many incarnations. Melancholy and evocative. You did yourself and the world a favor by buying yourself that piano - and by using YouTube to share your talent with us.
@xander55577, thank you for your comment. It's my own arrangement, to some extent pre-determined and to some extent improvised. That is the case with all my 110+ piano videos except for two Beethoven selections from his piano sonatas, in which I have striven to be as faithful as possible to Beethoven's note-for-note and phrase-for-phrase intentions.
Was this song from Henry VIII? One of my personal favorites, and you played if beautifully Edward. Here is my favorite version of all time, albeit not piano.
Edward, you're such a delight... Seriously, my heart just melts when I am in your company. Thanks cosmos, for youtube :-)

I've always liked the evocative power of that song. I never heard a version of it that didn't produce a strong sense of sad longing.

Henry VIII was credited with writing this piece. I'm not sure if that is legend or truth but it is wonderful and beautifully played.

Everyone should learn a second language.
Music is an excellent second language.

Edward, is this your own arrangement, or are you playing a published version from memory? Always a pleasure to learn math and music from you.
