  • id rather have a MTT y2k or a turbocharged gsxr 1000

  • Couldnt understand a fucking word he said.

  • @hanstrutzel lmao

  • btw he says unlike a turbo....

  • I hate these guys!!!! They are awful and need to handover their show rights to me! :D

  • Is this legal? Will it pass the technical vehicle inspection?

  • @chispygato MOT, yup :D any thing can pass it ;)

  • @saffronwales Wow, good for your country!! Enjoy it! :)

  • @chispygato you should have a look at the sofa car :)

  • @saffronwales hahaha, that is cool! But it definitely needs a super charger!!! ;)

  • @chispygato why shouldn't it? what about bikes that are factory "turbocharget" or cars with a turbo? what's illegal with that?

  • @thaurgurth Well, precisely because they are factory turbocharged, not so sure about turbocharging it yourself, that's what I mean. All vehicles come with the specified factory power, if you add more power, not sure it is legal. That's what I meant.

  • @chispygato probably depends on country but where I live (and in places where I used to live) there's no law limiting a vehicle power as long as you have a full licence... Only requirement is that you will let your insurance company know about mods and add them to your reg certificate (let the vehicle registration office know).

  • @thaurgurth Wow, that is awesome, I did not know that :) Lucky you, wish I could turbocharge my bike!!! Cheers mate.

  • wheelies on a rocket III...that's mental

  • To take a truck like that rippin around a public corner with a ped walking by will get most squids a visit from cops if on youtube in the real world. LOL! Tractor turbo Rocket what?

  • It sure chatters the rear brake, it'd be nice to be able to stop the locomotive.

  • did he say Silverstein?

  • i think this guy is confused between crank and exhaust gas - blower and turbo??????????

  • @commando4500 he said "unlike a turbo." his british accent made it sound like "and like a turbo".

  • Listen up .. he says "supercharger - unlike a turbo it works off the crank..

  • Sounds like shit at low RPM.

  • A turbocharger is an exhaust gas driven supercharger.

  • he actually says unlike a turbo it drives off the crank

  • he said "unlike a turbo, it works off the crank which means you've got no lag" Are you all retarded?

  • Why is it that we need English subtitles in order to properly understand when someone's speaking English.

  • @mazman1521 Maybe because you're a racist/classist and your racist/classist ears don't like hearing any voices different from yours.

  • @mazman1521 I can say much the same about some American accents.

  • buy a sport bike !!

  • Why do the Brits sound like they have rags in their mouths while talking?

Maybe Henry Higgins could explain ~

  • @193322009 At least it's better than a cock in your mouth.

  • who the fuck really cares what he said or didn't say, cool bike.

  • HAHAH "the turbo is driven off the crank." He shouldnt even hosting any kind of show saying funny shit like that!!

  • @mrjewishfish its a supercharger...

  • @mrjewishfish you should listen more carefully, he said "unlike the turbo.."

  • He said UNLIKE a turbocharger its driven from the crank.

Ya hafta listen reeeel close to those Brits cause they talk funny.

  • Google search "Top Fuel By The Numbers" for some good info.

Can your turbo produce 45.5 psi of boost?

    This is a ridiculous argument.

    Each one has its advantages.

  • um yea, very well having yer air filter open out like that but if yer on a trip on yer bike n it pisses it down in rain yer fucked, cover it!

  • This can smoke a hayabusa .. :)

  • lol, it sounds fucking amazing. great work.

  • Superchargers and Turbochargers are best together installed (TWIN CHARGE), but more expensive. Lancia Delta HF, TSI technology from VW, and more...

Supercharger gives more continuous power and torque from lower rpm's, and turbo starting at higher.

  • @2jzgtejza80 you may want to refine that for those who dont know. the super charger blows the air thru the intake side of turbo (exhaust is still exhaust) to create a turbocharged supercharger that has boost in low rpms thats to S/C and even more in the high rpms thansk to turbo. duramax diesels already have a kit for this, twin turbo tho.

  • @oilfield666

    Correct.

  • Compound turbocharging is what its called in the diesels. Twin charging when you couple a SC with turbo. Though most dont understand that flow is flow and boost is boost. Flow makes POWER boost makes HEAT. You want the most airflow possible at the lowest boost level that you can run while making the power you need. if raising the boost quits raising the power, bigger compressor!!! :)

  • i know what twin charging is. banks diesel is now putting out LBZ based duramax crate engines designed for marine purposes (built to military spec), they feature a twin screw super charger that assist two turbo chargers. there was a guy who added a procharger to a 6.4l diesel f350 when they were still new. the boost range was incredible. your heads can only flow so much, why they invented water/meth injection systems bud.

  • wow, you are kinda stupid eh? water/meth has nothing to do with getting more AIR into the engine. The heads only flow so much, at a given pressure..thusly the point of boost. Yet still, water injection just robs horsepower until the cylinder pressure is low enough to not cause detonation. It is in no way a power adder, just a measure of safety when running high boost on pump fuel. Diesels use propane injection as a power adder.

  • @Duckyistrippin learn to read retard, he mentioned more boost equals more heat, water/meth WILL COOL THE INTAKE CHARGE. fuck you people are idiots here. there are some diesels that have up to 10 water/meth injectors all along the intake tubes feeding engines just to keep the EGT's down. come back when you have actually installed and played with this shit kid.

  • "twin screw" blowers...lol damn dude you make me laugh. Thats just a fancy name for an old detroit 8-71 blower. All roots blowers have AT LEAST 2 screws. its how they work, a single screw charger does not exist. You should read less, talk less and turn more wrenches. {have you ever actually built anything?} You are trying to apply diesel thinking to a gas motor, and that doesnt work. Diesels work off fuel, gas motors work off air. Thats why diesel doesnt have a throttle plate and NEEDS boost.

  • @Duckyistrippin if your trying to school me your failing kid. i wont even waste my time with your hillbilly ass.

  • @Duckyistrippin next time u wanna butt into a conversation read the who fucking thread instead of making yourself look like a total moron

  • @oilfield666 you're a fucking legend mate. Do you sit at home smelling your own farts all day?

  • @syncstation nah brah. i gots cars to be worked on, engines to be built and tires to fry.

  • @oilfield666 fuck yeah. fucken hard muthafucka. right on.

  • "annoyingly they flat out at 110mph" lol wtf?

Life is just too slow for some people. :)

  • well.. thats not precisely a speed bike.. i think if he went faster the wind would blow him up!!! it would be nice to see that though =D lol

  • Sounds like a WWI airplane, wonderful!!!!

  • In my opinion, a supercharger is better because of the nasty delay you can get from a turbocharger.

But modern Turbochargers have variable fanblades that make sure your power is well distributed and it doesn't kick in unexpected (Which is extremely dangerous)

  • Right - So what do 5000 hP dragsters use? Super chargers!!

Don't be so narrow-mided - they each have their advantages.

  • your right but it also takes 500 naturally aspirated horses to turn a top fuel blower

  • @tuberizer

    yes 5000bhp with nitromethane

  • top fuelers use SUPERCHARGERS because the RULES DICTATE IT! NHRA believes people come to see loud, fire breathing cars. and they are right. Turbo cars do not make the flames and noise of a supercharged car. Dont think for a second s/c is the better technology. It takes well over 500hp to turn a top fuel blower.... try 3 times that. it takes 600hp to turn a centrifugal on a 1800hp outlaw mustang.

  • turbo makes more hp than superchargers cause superchargers is driven by the belt and shit so the engine loses power to get power

  • I agree with you but superchargers are easier to install and dont need piping and intercooling shit.

  • You are both wrong. If you compress air you need piping, seals and shit to keep it compressed all the way. Intercoolers are a good thing if you compress hard no matter what thing compressed the air. Both takes power from the engine, The turbo acts like a restriction for the exhaust. A turbo might be easier driven but I would go for the supercharger any day. Imagine laying down in a bend, just at the limit when the turbo decides to kick in ...

  • your statement is false, unless you give it wide open throttle while your layed down

  • 2 thumbs down cause people dont know shit :D

  • Looks like a pro-charger not a superchager from what I can see him pointing at. Pretty much a belt driven turbo...

  • Generally a turbo charger is driven by exhaust gas.

This one is mechanically driven by a belt like most superchargers.

How it compresses the air is irrelevant

  • Not irrelevant - but different.

Turbos and the procharger use a wheel or impeller. Roots-style and other blowers use screw or lobe-type compression.

  • A Pro-Charger supercharger is a belt driven supercharger.

  • A procharger works just like a turbo only its driven by a belt. They even look the same. Not like a blower supercharger that mounts on top of the motor.

  • whats wrong with lag ? i like turbos!!!

  • insane... a weelie with a bike of 300 kg... (: Comment by a Tool O.G.T

  • and at 0:37 - 0-39 it sounds like a speed bike :) and there's no "......or not"

  • at :36 it kind of sounds like an old lamborghini...... or not

  • What a dumb advice he gives at the end.

  • Don't get me wrong, thats a good ideal for a bike but a cruiser to me is something comfortable to ride and relax on while riding down the highway at reg speed, for power and speed I'll stick with sports bikes and crotch rockets. Never the less thats a awesome bike in the video, 5/5!

  • a turbo is not driven from the crank

  • @carlover866: He says "unlike a turbo, it works off the crank." It does sound like he says "and like a turbo."

  • yes that's why he said "unlike a turbo"...get a supercharger on your ears dudes

  • @carlover866 He said "unlike a turbo, it runs off the crank." He has a very strong Welsh (or maybe Scottish) accent.

  • @dablackitalian That's not Scottish or Welsh, just Northern. He sounds like he's from Yorkshire. Northerners all sound the same to me though.

  • @forcefedvw He'd be from Yorkshire :-)

  • @carlover866

    Yea it is,

The crank propells the piston to top dead center causing the air to come out of the cylinder. The air goes to the turbine side and spools the turbo.

  • @carlover866 It's a supercharger you moron.

  • @carlover866 if you listen correctly he says "UNLIKE A TURBO"... just clarifing...

  • @carlover866 he said unlike

  • @carlover866 he unlike a turbo it's driven from the crank

  • Comment removed

  • @carlover866 He said 'Unlike a turbocharger, it works off the crank'.

  • @carlover866 of course not, but no one argued that, so... what's your point?!

  • @carlover866

He says: "Unlike the turbo, it's working off the crank..."

I know..... He is english. but that's what he said.

  • @szita2000 for those of us who speak Brit English, why is this funny?

  • @carlover866 he says unlike.

  • @carlover866

He said "UNLIKE" a turbo. It's just that his British accent makes it sound like "and like".

  • @carlover866 u can get belt driven turbos or called bdt the bdt was used on the rs200 rally car and that is a bdt a supercharger is a completely different set up....

  • @tastybuilder23 3 buzzers sir you're incorrect !! BDT was a Cosworth engine and a derivative of the BDA (Belt Drive A) 'T' denoted it as turbo'd and anyone can find out about the BDT engine just google it and get your facts straight ;-)

  • @stuj33 ya i no it is :L super chargers r difrent thow

  • @carlover866 If you listen he says "UNLIKE THE TURBO, THE SUPERCHARGER WORKS OFF THE CRANK".

  • sick

  • did u have to do anything to your fuel ratio?

  • what an ugly bike

  • Second,i live in holland and i can perfectly understand him.

    So your english is crap.

Third, you don't know BS about technic, the crankdriven sc first takes a certain percentage of power and after that delivers it in a multiplied factor.

Although it's not "my cup of tea",i like the idea behind it.

Talking about pile of crap, were not talking harleys who finally found their way to watercooling after 100 years...

  • You want to go back to school then, I understood what he said, and what he said was right, he didn't say anything about pulling energy from the engine, he was on about turbo lag, which is two different things, to get the turbo to do its job it has to be spinning at lease 20,000 rmp, look at cars on drag strips, on on of the engine is one big supercharger, you have loads more power from tick over too valve bounce,.

  • to answer the caption: You still have a pile of crap bike.

  • ASSHOLE .. improve ur fucking slang .. i dont get a single word u are saying ...

  • CLEAN YER EARS!!!!!

  • What the fuck is he saying? And why are they're commericals on youtube I stopped watching TV because of propaganda and commercials I'm going to stop watching youtube i guess

  • Yah ads on youtube getting out of hand.

  • get Firefox with the add-on "Adblock Plus" and you won't see any ads on almost any website, including YouTube.

  • propaganda? do you live in a third world, war-torn country? if you know it's "propaganda" then obviously the message won't affect you and you can tune it out. Or just don't watch the news channels, it's not that hard.

  • @Cthrilla lolz to all the dumbasses giving a thumbs up to this. one, its not a turbo, any moron can look at it at tell that, even though the turbines of a supercharger and turbo are similar, its easy to tell this isnt a turbo. and 2nd he says its a supercharger which is driven off the crank. you are so smart guy. i award you an A for effort on your bashing.

  • ehmm, why would anyone wanted a huge power chopper ? what are we trying to proof here? people who are trying to race choppers have missed the point.

  • If you like that, look up "Boss Hoss"

  • yess i know about the boss bike, i believe the low end torque improves the ride comfort, but i think the hoss boss is also pointless, with their stupid trike editions. typical american overhauling.

  • Comment removed

  • i think its kinda funny he can do a wheely

  • wow, upgrading this bike with a charger is like mike tyson is getting two more hands. XD

  • good bike but what is MPG, i bet is sucks

  • lol well you can buy the injectors and exaust for the so called for america model and after its MOT change the pipes come its next MOT put stock on just for the MOT british model has been toned down so much to meet our regulations etc yet in america they can get the beast in its glory, typical really

  • ehys erbut ewnty ownds. diggin the accent

  • turbos dont work off the crank.... this guys an idiot... turbos run off the exhaust

  • it's a supercharger, not a turbocharger.

  • no shit

  • FYI READ THE TITLE! whos the idiot really?

  • "UNLIKE a turbo, it works off the crank..." I'd listen to it again there boss

  • exactlu

  • DUHHH..... a turbo is powered by exhaust gas sport. Not any form of mechanical drive that a Supercharger uses...

  • yea i kno

i thought the guy in the video says its like a turbo

its hard to understand his accent

  • You probably didn't hear him correctly because his English is terrible and he shouldn't be a presenter.

  • engish accent ftw! sick of american

  • SIK!!!!

  • Arguing about whether tc is better than sc or vice versa is irrelevant, It's like arguing which is better 2 or 4 stroke. It all depends on what kind of power band you want and what your going to do with it.

  • I hate to tell all you turbo lovers this but actually the superchager is ten times better than then turbo, the turbo laggs and you only get the boost at top end, while the superchager builds the boost faster, and it keeps the boost there while the turbo just kinda still sits there and lags, thats why you see so many people using co2 to spin there turbos now, to get the same effect but at around half the cost and twice the damage to pistons

  • I guess that's why the fastest cars in the world (Bugatti Veyron, SSC Ultimate Aero) are turbocharged........ Turbo lag is not nearly as much of an issue as it used to be (unless you are running a MASSIVE turbo pushing 50+ lbs of boost)... They both have their strengths and weaknesses, but supercharging being 10 times better? I think not.

  • it all depends on what your going for...top fuel dragsters use a supercharger instead of a turbo :)

  • the fastest cars run superchargers, they run over 300mph... imo turbo are much more livable with though

  • that's starting to change because super chargers run out of air were as turbo chargers dont ,,,, check out prochargers a newer idea were you blow through a carburetor,,,, peace oh and go fast

  • ...Superchargers run out of air? What the hell are you talking about bro? Superchargers run off of the driveshaft, taking air from the environment, compressing it and forcing it into the piston with extra gasoline.

Turbos run off the EXHAUST. The exhaust from the engine spins a turbine which then compresses and forces air into the pistons w/ gas.

    Run out of air... WHAT?

  • just trust me ill send you a video ,,, prochargers run off belts not exhaust ,,, like i said these new PROCHARGERS are nt like the old ones and the coolers are different ,,, and yes super chargers can run out of air ,, they top out , aqnd they dont wreck your engine like the old one do ,,, just check steve morris procharges , its on my page but ill send it to you any ways ,,peace

  • sorry that was mpmc procharges ,,, but the morris vid is still great

  • run out of air? lol

  • prochargers are nice.. my friend has a 900 hp procharged boat you can seriously hear it from halfway across lake tahoe.

  • IIRC the veyron has 4 turbos?, not sure about hte SSC though

  • actually the turbo has a huge advantage in that it can easily be, and is noramally hooked up to an intercooler, i hate the thought of pushing warm air into my engine...

  • You can add an intercooler to a supercharger......

  • not the normal type of supercharger, just the one that mounts on the side like a procharger

  • You mean a positive displacement supercharger? The kind that bolt directly to your intake manifold or require a special manifold?

Several brands of positive displacement superchargers have intercoolers that can bolt between the intake manifold and the supercharger. Also methanol injection is an option if an intercooler isent available or feasible.

  • you are ignorant

  • Yea get supercharger and die faster . Bike are the coolest but the most dangerous . keep it safe ,keep it alive !

  • No. Turbo gives more power while Superchargers give more of a Stable Boost without Lag.

  • wrong wrong fkkn wrong you can get the same power from superchargers and turbochargers.

  • no smartie

superchargers doesn't boost the same like a turbo, only turbo has a lag, and supercharger don't have, but supercharger cost power because it's driven by a belt, and turbo doesn't cost power.

  • Correct. Supercharger advantage is no lag BUT its only low to mid revs peak power compared to turbos where the peak power is on mid to high revs.

  • it depends on how big the fan is.

for example..on an mitsu eclipse, stock turbo is a garret t25 small wheel, boost kicks in at about 2000revs. then youve got like a mitsu evo 16g, 20g where the boost doesnt kick in till like around 50mph

  • The Turbo however does take power. It is just in a different form. (back pressure in exhaust) with out the right set up it can cause more problems. both have advantages and disadvantages.

  • watch out, you're driving on the wrong side of the road!

  • he's from UK obviously

  • i ahve the same shirt as that guy

  • I test rode a stock rocket 3 scared the shit out of me

  • What's annoying about a cruiser topping out at 110 mph?? Since on a cruiser you have wide bars & sit upright, or in some cases, leaning back, even the UK national speed limit of 70 has you feeling like a human parachute without a screen! - You would need the grip of a free climber & a spine brace to hang on at 150 on a naked cruiser.

  • LOL, they sound like a fuckin' tractor!

  • yea turbo's before would lag and lose power after reaching its limit

modern turbo's can successfully keep the spooling up

    while old ones can't

  • centerfugal supercharger is kinda useless its just like a turbo for power band and it keeps the whole parasitic loss of a supercharger

  • I've put quite a few miles on Rocket III's, and they are already WAY more powerful than any sane rider needs them to be. I'm guessing that the main frustration with this one would be the seating position. 150 mph isn't very fun when your feet are being blown up off the pegs and your arms are being yanked out of their sockets. But I'd still like to try it.

  • 8 Pat butchers, funny.

  • 0:36 that monster of 360Kg empty like 450Kg with the driver in weele scare! XD
