  • Saw Crazy Cavern in Brixton about 1976, also used to go down the Castle in Elephant and Castle I think it was Thursday nights for Rock N Roll, in the 70's, Great times

  • That's great, as a Basildon guy that was a Southend Ted in those days (70s), We loved them, thought they lived south Wales, maybe not. They were the highlight of Saturday night in the pier bar on pier hill Southend... happy days, there then to Baz cafe on the front and fall asleep on the beach. They were the best, Cheers tonyswww

Hi Again you Could have Been Thinking about Crazy Cavan! When you Mentioned Wales...as they are from there, you will find Both Bands on my Site! bye the way I was also a Young TED in the 70's and Knew Southend Pubs Etc. there were some Great moments there with Skinheads and Punks! those were the innocent Days! Now it's all Guns! and gone Stupid!! Take Care...and Keep Rockin!

It's a shame that there's sod all in Basildon these days....Nearest place (as far as I know) is the paddocks over Canvey...

  • are these the same guys that played at the Pier bar Southend on sea in the 70s?

Hi again! Looks like we went to the Same Places! and a similar Age! as far as the TED'S vs Rockabilly,s thing goes...the TED'S I knew and being one myself never had much of a problem with it! we all liked the same Music! it was only when Punk came in and the so called Rockabilly's Started wearing Very Loud Hawaiian Shirts, and dying there Hair Pink,Blue, Orange etc. that things started to get out of Hand! ( But these were not Rockabilly's they got Named Punkabilly's )

  • @alfiethejackrussell

Most TED,S Dressed the same as Rockabilly's without their Drapes on! I could not tell or Notice any Difference at First.

Did you go to the White Hart, or The Cauliflower,or The Lyceum Ballroom! I saw Ray Campi there Amazing Stuff!!

  • Totally agree with your sentiments these were by far my favourite live uk band at that time...a great bunch of guys...Happy Days..

  • Fantastic Flying Saucers !

    Sandy FORD really Rocks !

  • good sound, saw them at the old maypole barkingside late 70s

  • @alfiethejackrussell
