And this game does require strat yes, but thats what makes it fun, it has now become the largest mmo out there, and you need to play this game AT LEAST to lvl 50 before you start dissing the game, if it lags, go to your options and put it on extreme performance to stop the lag. Oh yeah and EQ2 has tons of Lore. Lore is a reason why many casual people kept playing the game. Chances are if the person doesn't raid they Quest or Tradeskill.
I think you summoned it up at WoW is easy and EQ2 requires a huge time investment. Your lag is from Stream Client. Never noticed any glitchies or bugs to effect my game play.. They added dungeon finder. You lost me at the end with the Bug argument why you wouldnt play.

For specifics I would mention you don't understand what you are reviewing (Everquest 2 has no story line/no race history? Really? Also each class has quite a few sub specialties you obviously missed), you make useless statements like "the class system is good or bad depending on what you think of it". See that is a review.
I agree that the races need more hairitage. I love finding out my Ratonga's history, but I can't find much. I have some in-game books that talk about Ratonga. The races don't all look the same O_O. And I love the fighting animations, especially the pole-arm weapons. Monks move pretty good. The only problem I have with my running animation is my tail doesn't move! EQ2 does have massive story to it. It's easy to get lost in it all though. I love EQ2, it's not EQ1, but I still love it =D.
@Zullala I've been playing EQ2 for 4 years. I've seen it change a lot over that amount of time. I think that the game is always improving and making smart changes. Occasionally they make changes I don't like, but it doesn't happen that often. Oh, and the writers for this game are amazing. I feel like I'm reading an interactive book when I play EQ2. Sometimes, the NPCs even talk! The voice acting is very good as well.

Uh... I think you dont know what your saying. EQ2 is not repetitive. Its called making the fighting more real and entertaining. If u think world of warcraft is cooler than this game, think first that world of warcraft copied everquest.
Nice try at a review, and it is obvious that you tried to be "neutral" in spite of yourself. I'd suggest, for an MMO game anyway, playing it for a good 20 hrs of gameplay before doing the review.
One other thing is (while you did this a little) you need to always give reasons why something is "bad" or "not as good as other games"...I'm not saying get technical, but layperson logic goes a long way to the credibility to a review.

To everyone else who commented on this, this game deserves a 4.5 out of 5, i deducted to .5 because of The Graphics. Thats my only complaint about this game, but its something you wouldnt really notice if u really like the game, ad to me its hardly noticable. The game is alot about quests which is great. most new MMO's are about grinding and plvling it seems.
Dude why you being an ass, i said i was a casual gamer and ament a hardcore gamer... so why you saying im retarded because i disliked WOTLK? nearly all my mates hated it and my guild even had trouble in part of it. I played a healing paladin, which is 1 of the reasons i found it hard. and the other reasons where because it takes a long time to lvl after you hit 70 and i didnt play enough to level up much. i got to 80 in the long run but disliked it. My char is 85 now.
I played World of Warcraft for nearly 4 years. And i find that Wratch of the lich king ruined the game, it was such a boring place to level in northrend and the dungeons and solo gameplay were too hard unless u were a devoted gameplayer. which im not, im a par-time player of all games. I find that Everquest 2 is one of the best MMO's ive played. 1 - because its not repetitive, by this i mean the questline is forever telling a changing story. and 2 - warcraft has been destroyed by cataclysm :(

Also, the running graphics such as the wings of the Fae and Arasai, are going to seem repetative. And the wings do flow, you just have to turn the render graphics on more.
At the start with the tanking is hard? It takes alittle thought about what to do, so yes it can be difficult, but I like strategy in a game.
And the two classes you were trying to remember are the Druid Fury, and a Druid Warden. Just to help.
Overall I'd give Everquest 2 a 4/5, not a 1.5/5 although I say EQ1 is better.

There are a few, but servers like Permafrost and Nagafen are medium to high. Just because you chose to join a low populated one is your bad. Also depending on the time of day.
And the lag with a high end computer? My computer isnt very high end. It is just pretty good, and I play on max graphics.
Also, WoW is an okay game, but doesn't challenge me.
