  • I just moved to my dads in Greeley CO (the city) but my mom lives in Bowdien ME right next to I295 i could huer the big trucks going by and my grandfather was a trucker and i would always dream of shifting gears and lisening to real country. By the way im only 15

  • this artist is severly under-rated!!!

Love this song and his voice---great rugged looks too--mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • im not a driver but this song is how i feel i alway wanted to be a driver but its not in the cards for me now plus all the bs in trucking

  • Best trucking song ever!!!

  • They don't make them like him anymore!!!

  • sometimes i close my eyes and see 7.3's in the moonlight...

  • This song is exactly what I felt and did when I was a young boy. I love this song. Brings back sooo many memories. Thank you Dan Seals for this song. Hits so close to home...

  • Mercy!!! Dan Seals is missed severly!!

  • I think Dan Seals was second only to Don Williams when it came to recording songs by the great Bob McDill. And since Dan was such a good songwriter himself, fortunately for us he got to cowrite with Bob. For another great Bob and Dan collaboration, check out "Everything That Glitters (Is Not Gold)" which is the song that made me a Dan Seals fan in the first place.

  • My husband & I drove team for 3 years. Nothing like it. When we came off the road it was just time for a change. Started a family. He has continued to drive. Nothing like feeling the power of controlling that rig at 65 miles an hour. Dan Seals is one of the underratted artists of our time. MY favorite songs of all time include this one, Meet Me In Montana and All That Glitters Is Not Gold.

  • My fiance drove for US Express for 3 yrs and we had a blast seeing different places and this song brings back alot of memories

  • @holybaachaa39 I got my CDL when i was 18.. Anybody can get their cdl when their 18 but they can not leave the state that they are lincesed in untill they are 21.

  • this is the story of my life man

  • Great Songggg.i love truck <3 <3 <3

  • a very nice song

  • love this song haha R.I.P i just heard this song and of you the other day thanks to my picker truck operator haha RIP buddy

  • I love this song!...luckily I dont have to dream about it.There's nothing like setting behind the wheel of my KW and looking down that long hood as I give that "3406" the coals and slide through the gears pulling that load of steel!

  • @poisonchildofaol I heard that,I aint dreaming either.Hit the 30 year marker this weekend. Keep her between the ditches driver.

  • Dear Dan Seals Fans: I am asking anyone that has Dan Seals first solo album, Stones, from 1980, under England Dan, to please post these wonderful songs, because many places are asking hundreds of dollard for one CD! That is shameful and wrong! So please, in Dan's honor, lets post those great songs! Thanks! BobbyK

  • Love the song, and the video. I have always LOVED big trucks!! now i drive them and love it.

  • Not even Satan could dislike Mr. Seal's beautiful music. Enjoy Hell Mr. Dislike.

  • Black smoke rollin at 2:38 make my sticker peck out you know the fuel's turned to that big unit...10-4

  • I ♥ this song.R.I.P Dan Seals.

  • Dan did well by playing all these emotional songs, they all kind of like me to a particular situation in my life

  • Grew up listining to Dan his songs take me back.

  • I agree with I think that it should be manditory for everyone has to drive an 18 wheeler just once to see that they are a lot more to handle than some folks think

  • I love Dan Seals music. Great video ! That was me as a little boy. : )

  • Great song but I don't think Dan Seals would feel the same today out on the open road with all the idiots that you have to share the road with. I have been driving a semi truck for over 20 years now and have seen more than my share of accidents caused by those that allow themselves to be distracted with their cell phones while driving. Some of you will disagree with me but remember this while you still can read...it only takes a spit second to become involved in an life treating accident........

  • man i agree with you on that

  • @xxxbigalxxx I agree,I drove for 8 years and saw my share of accidents,if people would understand there driving a car not a phone booth things would be better.

  • @asphaltcowboy07 damn straight.

  • @asphaltcowboy07 When I drove .Ihad more problems wth the 2 week wonders & the jackasses whos mantra was "GOTTA GO" Than with the 4 wheelers. Ya can't go anywhere if you're 6 ft. under.

  • @xxxbigalxxx amen brother

  • @xxxbigalxxx amen

  • @xxxbigalxxx yes sir....my father in law drove 38 years for Hickory Springs...and he was ran off the road one night by the same people you are talking about...he hit a tree with a full load doing 60mph...forced into retirement because of a dumbass.....you stay safe out there yourself big buddy...we need more people like you on the road...and god bless

  • @xxxbigalxxx i have been put through exactly what talking sittin on what we can the front row i got runned by a car where the driver was talking on on his f*ing cellphone i ended up in the ditch where right frontwheel got i hole and caused my car to roll i had an angel on my shoulder that time.. walked away a busted knee i got lucky that time i dont what experience that ever again still haunts me

RIP dan seals you are still one of the greatest

  • @xxxbigalxxx i have been put through exactly what you are talking about sittin on what we can call the front row i got runned off the road by a car where the driver was talking on on his f*ing cellphone i ended up in the ditch where my right frontwheel got caught in hole and caused my car to roll i had an angel on my shoulder that time.. walked away a busted knee i got lucky that time i dont what experience that ever again still haunts me

RIP dan seals you are still one of the greatest

  • anyone know what town that is in montana in this video at the begining

  • Dan hit #1 in Billboard, 2-18-89. Backin' vocals by Baillie and the Boys. God bless! RIP, Dan.

  • March 1992. ... I just finished basic training and was shipped to technical school. My roommate was a huge fan of Dan Seals. I used to listen to this album every night before I went to sleep. Made me sad when I heard Dan Seals had died.

  • Man, I love my job!

  • "And I know that there's a peace I'll never find cause those big ol' wheels keep rolling through my mind"

  • im 17 and all i wanna do is drive

  • Beautiful song by Dan Seals!! His voice could tear your heart out. He was England Dan of John Ford Coley! RIP, Dan. Your music got me through some bad times. And, yes, he was very attractive!!

  • Beautiful voice!!! And I didn't realize he was so good looking. R.I.P. Dan1!!!!

  • Can you find another country voice out there as sweet and soothing as Dan's? I think NOT!

  • with all my respects, but,i have been a truck driver for 30 years,i loved it,and if i have to choose again,i will do it all over again.but some of you guys, are right, this job its only for a few, thats why, some of us still trucking after so long.if you do it for the money, youre right, you won't last too long, but if you do it brcause you love it,then, welcome to the club.thank you for the opportunity of doing my part for my country!!

  • @valvo61

thanks to all the truck drivers, you keep turnin´ the country around.

  • @texascountryusa I second that, texas. Sometimes we just take too much for granted.

  • this is one of the best songs ever wrote or performed by any artist

  • One of the smoothest & sweetest voices in country music.... Dan has left us but lives on in our hearts with many of his wonderful songs.

  • R.I.P. Dan Seals

  • Great video, one of the best singers of his time. But guys the above comments are true as a trucker years ago i made a lot of money and a good living but it surely sucks for a family man. Most companies treat you like shit, your nothing more than a seat warmer no matter what they tell you.

  • To those considering trucking......STAY OUT OF IT!!!! After 12 years and living my childhood dream it's not what the songs, movies etc........depict. I've been very successful. I've paid a price for it all. It's not worth it. If you have family, friends, a life trucking will all but destroy everything. Enjoy the songs and the romance. Don't live them!

  • @flatbedr.... fellow dan seals fan; all i can hear is the center line calling my name im a automotive mechanic who has lived a shelterd life in a small town under the hood of the locals cars. you mean to tell me that that the adventure aint worth it and you would'nt do it agin?

  • it a very very good song but he is right i have been doing it know for 6 years and trucking is not a good life for someone with family and freinds

  • dont be a hater been in the air chair for 14 years now and i must say that it is a lifestyle and it does have its ups and downs but i would say that ive had a good haul so far and hey.....its not for everyone

  • been driving know for 6 years i love it but u are very right its not what the songs and movies make it out to be. This industrie is only meant for a select few out there

  • Furture Driver right here

  • @silvertondevil12 same here mate in the UK ,

  • j'adore cette chanson , merci !

  • I too wasnt aware of Dans passing...hands down the best trucking song..small town Kansas kid here and this song really fit me...fortunatly I got to live it for 9 yrs..I've got to see all 48 cont. states of this great country and the beauty each has to offer..been out of the truck for about 3 yrs and the white line calls me regularly.. if you got it a truck brought it!!

RIP Dan..thanks for all the miles and making the grass alot greener..and the blacktop alot smoother

  • i love this song!!!!! i have the cd haha

  • The first song I learned to play.

  • been driving now for almost 6yrs otr and i really loved this song!

  • Once i took a Greyhound bus coast to coast from DC. to L.A.. it was in 86. i saw those hard workers truckers all along the highway.

  • Been off the road for 3 years now. still tugs at me fom time to time . whup whup

  • sounds like donalsonville ga highway 84

  • i didt even know dan pass away unstill yestday

  • This is the first Dan Seals song I heard. I fell in love with it before I even knew who sang it. To me, it represents the freedom one feels when they drive the open road. In all honesty, I don't think one has to drive a semi to enjoy the freedom this song talks about. I feel that freedom when I'm heading down the interstate in my car. I just wish that my local country music station would play this song more often. RIP Dan! I hope you're "Bop"ping along in heaven!

  • Mr. Seals is a great singer and song writer. I only wish I could have seen him in person before he passed. R.I.P. Mr Seals

  • My favourite country music singer.

Thanx a lot, my dear friend Dan Seals.

    RIP.

  • wooot

  • how I got here its hard to say

  • Great song by a great artist! I used to lay awake reading my Dad's old copies of Overdrive magazine. I love it. RIP Dan Thanks for the great tunes!

  • Have to say this is one of my all time favorite songs. I can remember singing this as I was driving my first big truck at age 20. I just gave up trucking but still love the music, the trucks, and the wonderful people who make this country run.

  • @westernflyer2 how did you get a CDL at age 20 ? a person under 21 cant get a CDL!

  • @holybaachaa39 yes they can if theyre parents own the company. they just cant go out of state

  • @holybaachaa39100% true.

  • takes me back to my frist time driving the old International Loadstar 1800, split shifting to hit all 10 gears just to do it, "like a kid in a candy store" should be "like a kid in a big truck"

  • I hope he got to see the world.

    R.I.P Mr. Seals

  • @sofive0 I loved his music... I cant believe he is gone...RIP..

Great song, he will be missed. God bless!

  • God Speed Dan. You Will forever be my favorite!!!!!!

  • R.I.P dan you were a GREAT singer

  • he was a great singer.he is missed!

  • I love this song! & I drive tractor trailer. This song is for the other 3 truck drivers in my family: Uncle Ray, Cousin Ray Jr., and Uncle Guy. I did not know that Dan Seals passed away; RIP Dan, this is a great song!

  • Love it !!

    Rest in Heaven Dan! xo

  • Dan, you will be SORELY missed by me and mine! You truely were one of the greatest! I seen you in Utah doing an acoustic set with a 5 string base and 6 string and you had your 12 string. I STILL get chills thinking of how good it was. Country Joe still plays some acoustic Dan seals on the radio and it gets CRANKED in the shop everytime Dan is on!

Sleep in peace Dan, you will NOT be forgotten, and were truely ONE OF THE GREATEST!

  • R.I.P Dan. You are the greatest, and I am not exaggerating.

  • They say that country music is about life, this song is about mine. I've never been a driver, but I can't remember a time in my 50 years that I haven't been fascinated with the big rigs. (FWIW, my screen name is a Mack model number).

Thanks, Dan. Rest in Peace, you left us too soon.

  • i'll play this one tomorrow night for dan

    rip

  • Too bad.RIP Dan.

  • true voice, R I P dan, you will be missed.

  • What a great song RIP

  • I loved Dan Seals. He appeared to be one of those good men who was not ruined by fame. The message in many of his deeper songs was beautiful and sincere... but a lot of his songs were just plain fun."Came from a town that was so small, you look both ways, you could see it all" That's a GREAT line. God bless you, Dan. I won't forget you, and neither will we.

  • I have been trucking for over 20 years, and this has to be one of my favorite songs from Dan.. Rest in Peace Thank you for all your songs.. My wife and I were able to see him in concert a few years ago.. great show..

  • rip dan

  • RIP DAN

  • Going through all of Dan's great songs tonight. Haven't played, "Everything that Glitters" just yet. That one's going to be tough.

Hope your on the big stage in the sky tonight Dan! Joining the greats that went before you.

  • Country will never equal the past greats like Dan Seals. I will remember my youth in cowtown listening to great country like Dan.

  • R.I.P Dan You will live forever in our hearts with all the wonderful songs you leave us with!!

  • RIP Dan...your music brought me many hours of happpiness and peace. A voice from God now back with Him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

  • Dan,

From a kid who grew up listening to this song and so many more of yours, thank you. I hope mom and you are talking up there with the good lord. Thanks again Dan. You are missed.

  • Dan Seals was truly a one of a kind talent. He could sing and be compared with the best...now he is in heavens choir. Boy, what a party they must be having!!

    R.I.P., Mr. Seals

  • rip dan,one of the best

  • I just learned he past away. Such a shame--he was a great musician, a seemingly gentle soul. May he rest in peace.

  • Thanks Dan, from a West Texan to another. You rep'd us proud just like Buddy Holly and Wayland Jennings. Thanks for your amazing voice.

  • God Speed Dan fron this old trucker.

    We'll miss you!

  • RIP, Dan. Your music was wonderful. Thanks for sharing your talents with us.

  • Will definitely miss his voice and songs. Rest in Peace, in your Big Wheel, above the Moonlight.

  • R.I.P., Dan

  • Beautiful voice this guy had.. delicate and genteel and he could really sing a road song!

  • R.I.P. Dan, We'll miss you.

  • Always been one of my favorites! I once got the chance to see Dan on a 12 string, a guy on a 6 string, and an acoustic bass. BEST CONCERT I HAVE EVER SEEN. South Ogden Utah! Hope he come again!

  • Love this song.

Always wanted to be a Trucker too!

  • Keep going Dan Seals...

I miss my high school days..

    Fan from Philippines

  • Thanks for sharing. I miss those days. Different town every night. Love Dan Seals too..Thanks Tony!

  • I've stood out along the highway in the town my family has called home for a long time and watched the truckers and log trucks come and go. I love the thought of where they might be going. Small towns all over the US are the way to go sometimes if you like life at it's simplest.

  • I live in a town that some drag strips are longer from one end to the other on highway 24 turkey nc I have sit out a many day at the old grill or the service station and watched the trucks roll everyman in my family has drove trucks one way or anuther and more than likly I will when I get the money saved up its in my blood to haul the biggest widest heaviest loads out there

  • One of the greatest trucking songs ever!

If you dont understand it then you never will. Truck to live, live to truck!!!

  • your right that is the best trucking song ever, and that is the best quote ive heard in a long time.

  • Comment removed

  • Can you another country voice out there as smooth and soothing as Dan Seals's?I think NOT.

  • dan seals is one of the most underrated singers. Its too bad Nashville didnt show a little more respect for artists with actual talent, instead of ones that 14 year old hs girls like.

  • good job,very good.

  • ain't no feelin like cow mobiling!

  • WesterStar baby!!!

  • Hey "idiot". Ever heard of a typo? Thats what I thought.

  • WoW! You know everything, dont you? Just enjoy the F-ing music. Kraut.

  • I live in a city. I don't want to drive a truck. But I can totally relate to this song. It's a great one.

  • Not one of Dan's better known songs, but it's one of my personal favorites. It kinda reminds me of the town where I was raised and still live. Dan Seals is one of the most under-rated country music artists ever.

  • dan seals is one of the best singers ive ever heard

  • i love this song

  • cool video i haul my race car in a mack with a 53 foot show trailer .i put my life on the center line in more ways then one .thanks again cool vid.

  • Everyday i drive a 379 pete i feel like I and bring the goods to the floks around the country and it feels good to do that and its strange that some floks dontknow that truckers bring it in from any where in the usa

  • Everyday i drive a 379 pete i feel like I and bring the goods to the floks around the country and it feels good to do that and its strange that some floks dontknow that truckers bring it in from any where in the usa

  • If you got it a trucker brought it!!! my grandpa used to say that to disrespectful ignorant people....im 16 cant wait to get my CDL. I want a Pete 359 wit a Cat 3408 V8!!!

Once ya get in.... ya cant get out!

  • nothing wrong with a 3408 in the power department but at todays fuel prices you better win a lottery to run it. besides the inline 6 designs produce better torque for fuel used. ran logging truck in northern BC and super B all over western canada preferd cummins myself N 14's and never the cripple 4's, but that is just a personal thing. just take it easy and keep an eye on your brakes. remember self adjusting brakes don't always self adjust. KW in the bush and pete on the road.

  • i remember growin up and my grandpa tellin me the same things you did....K-whapper for of pavment, pete for on. Another thing i remember him ALWAYS sayin was "NEVER use yer jakes on ice" lol. The reason i like the 3408 is cause it sounds SO nice, i really do like the N14 but my favrite cummins has to be the 444. Id like to get a daycab (any make) but a heavy hauler and haul dirt/equpitment from and to the sand pit behind my house...yes i wanna be a dirt dummie!!!...for now:)

  • I loved listening to this song when I was a trucker before I became a water quality scientist and got engaged to a very lucky beautiful lady. This song and other songs about the road will forever remain with me.
