I gotta say that my sand was never cleaner when i had this guy. I put him in my tank to turnover my sand bed in my 30 gallon. Had him a bout a 2 weeks before i gave him back. They will trash your sandbed inverts but its good to get your sand turned over every once in a while. They're definitely not a long term resident for most tanks, but if you've got an established tank with a large sandbed then you could probably get away with it. I fed my bits of brine and mysis so he wouldn't go nuts
I heard these things destroy the sand and eat all other inverts...I really want one, but are they safe? I have a 120 gallon with nass snails, turbo snails, and red hermits.
