Masterpiece Theatre presentation in the United States. They did not produce it! The producers were Granada Television for the ITV network in the United Kingdom. Just wanted to set the record straight.
This was and IS my absolute favorite Masterpiece Theatre production. I have the video set, the CD transfer is not good according to reviews on Amazon. You could possibly get the video set in good condition on Ebay. I bought it thru PBS for $90 about 5 yrs ago, but should have checked Ebay first.
Interesting memento of a great television drama! I saw the Jewel in the Crown for the first time while I was in college studying history. It's still one of my favorite series.
