  • You are soo beautiful!

  • you look amazing :)

  • I think it is a wonderful thing... I admire your courage and your resolve!

  • I also had surgery on my stomach and had to have my tummy cut open and I can assure you that the scars do turn white after a couple years! I had my surgery in 2009 and at this point the scarring is completely white. I do agree having the best surgeon does help with this issue too. You are looking fabulous:)

  • You should do a before and after video

  • oh MY GOOOOD i saw a really old video of yours just to see the difference!!i cannot believe it!!you became a model!!im so happy!!amazing job cant even explain how much!STUNNING!im excited now dk why =)))

  • You look amazing. It takes so much discipline and patience to lose weight the right way. You have done a great job. You look healthy and happy. :-)

  • I don't think you need to loose anymore weight, especially 40 lbs! You'd look like a stick figure then... You're gorgeous with sexy curves and it's 10-fold with the attitude ya got and what's inside. I really mean that. ♥

  • After going through all that time and effort of losing the weight, you, and anyone, deserves to feel comfortable in his/her own skin. Congrats to you, and to everyone else who is working on getting healthy :-)

  • be proud of your self! you've done great with your hard work

  • Great Job! You look great and I'm doing the same thing soon! Love it!!!

  • You can't afford 40 more pounds! You're slim enough, you're gorgeous :)

  • how did you get rid of your stretch marks? ive got some bad ones on my boobs that im trying to lighten with bio oil

  • i'm having a tummy tuck done in three weeks. what were you able to do two weeks after the surgery? could you walk and get out of the house? i wonder if i've given myself enough healing time - my aim is to get back to University after three weeks....! thanks so much for sharing all this with us!

  • I was going to have an outburst of 'omg please dont enhance your body!!! you're perfect!' then i saw your blog and OMG YOU ARE SO INSPIRATIONAL . Im trying to follow all those tips & i hope i can come down to your size!

You go girl..if a tummy tuck was what took you over the bridge to your goal then so be it. Like a treat ! You have worked so hard and its hard it is to remain motivated... my parents just bought me two massive blocks of chocolate not realising im minimising my sugar intake! lol

  • WHERW DID YOU GET THE TUMMY TUCKER? I'm thinking of getting one.

  • you are so nice to share that... I respect you more and I admire you a lot... :)

  • your beautiful!!!

  • i started losing weight this year in January I am down 15lbs (with low carb no sugar), now that I am done with having kids, I am can focus on myself. I have had four c-sections, I notice I don't really feel much below my belly button, it's numb, do you have that feeling from the surgery?

  • Good for you ! keep it up! ...

    150 Dislikes??...those are just HATERSSSS !!!

  • awesome ;) congratulations!

  • you look amazing

  • why do u call it the right way.

  • Congrats on your weightloss! and you look great :)

  • very nice...the scar is not bad at all.

  • thanks for posting this! a have a lot of weight to lose and i refuse to take the easy way out and use surgery. going the right way is tough so far, but it also feels so rewarding! cant wait to reach my goal weight :)

  • Will spray tanning affect the coloring of the scar, like will it make it darker?

  • wow shes so skinny now

  • i think you are beautiful. tummy tuck or not :)

  • I need to lose about 100lbs also, I'm scared as hell to end up with flabby skin and nasty stretch marks (already have those) that won't go away. And I know I will get those two things. I'm so pissed I ruined my body. Congrats to you, girl. I wish I had your strength.

  • Correction: green apple*

  • God bless you .youre so beautiful and you look amazing. it all looks great and will surely get much better each day. and using microdermasion on ur stretch marks will surely diminish them. i use the breen apple microdermabrasion scrub from "c.Booth" name brand. its amazing on my face and my pores are almost not even there anymore and the deep stretch marks on my arm are damn near invisible. i kid you not. I bought it from Rite Aid. itss amazing! give it a try and congrats. again, u look great!

  • Congrats!you are so right about the healthy eating and work out.Diets are only temporary.Changing the way of life is forever.

  • I'm 115, I wanna go down to 105. I hate these ugly love handles, I wanna be able to wear a bathing suit again ):

  • Girl you look good...you don't even look like you need to lose 40 extra pounds...but your goal is your goal...im happy that you have it in you to stick to it...i want to lose a few inchs off my weist and its taking me forever...i just had a brownie last night lmao...its hard tho...im proud of you...GOOD LUCK

  • You are so beautiful, brave like a lioness. If you are interested in diminishing the appearance of your stretch marks... I have found that skin lightning creams work best. I've had 3 kids 1 c-section so imagine going from 90lbs to 140lbs that was asking for stretch marks and a C-section scar to top it off (don't regret it at all). Anyhow I've used Meladerm Skin Whitening cream, this cream totally took care of the dark line left from the c-section and diminished the appearance of stretch marks.

  • You look amazing! Congrats on that. It is very inspiring.

This doesn't have anything to do with weight loss but I had a kidney transplant about 10 months ago. And I have a terrible scar on my stomach. Was their any creams or something to help with scar?

  • Wow you look amazing!

  • Good for you for losing weight the healthy way! I think that losing 100 pounds in 2.5 years is a realistic way to lose weight-- no crash dieting, just a healthy lifestyle that gradually leads to success! Congrats!!

  • Wow you look amazing gf.

  • I'm happy for you

  • What about having kids? Can you have kids after a tummy tuck? I want a tummy tuck but we also want more kids later on.

  • @nchollywood Why wouldn't you be able to have kids after a tummy tuck? It doesn't have anything to do with your uterus. Although you would risk just having to get a second tummy tuck after having more children...

  • Congrats on the weight loss to this point and good luck with the rest to hit your goal. I admire you and you look awesome !!!!

  • you should be able to do more situps when you heal completely. it takes a while for the skin to heal all layers. mayb about a year great job thou

  • I haven been watching you for a long time and I have to say that your transformation is amazing! You look so great!

  • you are very kind for sharing this information!

  • you look amazing!!

  • Good luck on the last 40 lbs.

  • You look amazing, Marlena :) Good luck with the rest of your goal xxxx

  • Congratulations And i Think Your really Pretty!!

  • u still looks gorgeous though n nice skin

  • Hey, just answering your wondering about why it gets swollen some days. Scars can impede lymph flow (lymph moves passively only) and so if you maybe spent the day standing more than usual you might have lymph congestion in your lower half of your body which needs to pass through the scarred area in order to be returned to the circulatory system. If you wanna help get rid of some of the puffy-ness you can do some self massage (towards heart) and deep breathing to get the lymph moving better.

  • How will a tummy tuck affect your ability to have kids in the future (if that's in your plans at all)? I know most doctors won't do one unless you know you're done having kids. If you get soreness after a hard work out, I don't know how your muscles and skin will accommodate a pregnancy. Again, that's if kids are in your plans at all...

  • If it makes you feel comfortable then good :) Some people don't realise how sometimes surgery can really increase someone's confidence. I would do it too if I had the money.

  • i don't know if anyone asked you this.. and I kinda feel silly... but when did it stop hurting to laugh?? I'm post-op day 5 and i hurts SO BAD to laugh!!.

  • Marlena, in GNC stores you can find tubes with aloe vera, just rub the aloe in your scar, I think that can help you! Congrats you look great!!

  • you look great! good luck with everything..xx

  • You look amazing and Your a great example to girls that its possible to do it the right way! I admire you! XO Angela

  • how can someone afford a tummy tuck in a recession

  • @24morningstar the recession affects people differently. My income hasnt changed. I kept my job. So maybe its the same situation for her.

  • Sorry guys her way of losing weight by eating right and exercise is the right way. Of course some have to get the weight off by surgery because risks of being severely overweight out way the risks of surgery. It is still the right way. Doctors, nurses, nutrition buffs all say the same thing. Surgery is the last resort. Who cares anyway It's HER opinion. Either way she looks wonderful. Always some one complaining. You look great!! I can't wait for mine March 29th!!

  • Im glad you lost your weight and you're looking great. But your comment of doing it "the right way" was a rather ignorant statement. Maybe people who have had gastric bypass have tried other ways to drop weight and it just didnt work??

  • I can't believe it's already been a year, time flies. You look incredible.

  • U are one word! AmAZING!

  • Dear Marlena, You are such an inspiration. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I know first hand that losing weight is difficult to do (I have a HUGE chunk of weight I'm working off at the moment) and hearing you speak really encourages me. Thank you!

  • what is your goal weight? what did you weight before?

  • You can ut more carbs and you can also take water pills. I lost 70 + pounds in 2004 I was featured in Oxygen Magazine. I wish you well. I can understand the extra skin on your abs cuz I have it also. I will have a tummy tuck too. Good luck.

    PS. I am also a personal trainer....Kym~

  • Congrats girl. Looking beautiful as always, your body looks amazing.

  • Congrats on your weight loss. I have 40 left to lose also. It does get much harder as you approach your goal weight. But, interval training REALLY helps shift those last stubborn pounds. It also helps with speed and endurance. I do my intervals on the treadmill, but you can do them on the Stair Master, Bike, outdoors, whichever you prefer. Good luck with the rest of your journey, and do continue to share your progress. xoxo

  • @lovelovebeauty1 Omg i just commented about this because i feel the same way. I heard that and it just turned me off being happy for her lol

  • You look great!! :)

  • did you move.?! your room looks so much different.!

  • MAN.!!! one year.?! i remember watching your first video about the surgery and just praying that you would be okay and now its already been a year.?! HOLY CANNOLIS DOES TIME FLY.!!! I am so glad that you are okay and you look amazing. =]

  • Your so strong and beautiful(: keep it up Marlena and don't let anyone bring you down(;

  • You look amazing, Marlena! :)

  • You look Incredible!! You're such a beautiful woman. =)

  • is it guaranteed that there will be excess skin after major weight lose for everyone? i have a lot of weight to lose as well.

  • @greenlight26 If you are losing a major amount of weight, it is probably more likely that you will have excess skin. Skin in general is like a rubber band and is supposed to snap back, but like all rubber bands, with prolonged pull (excess weight), elasticity is lost. It's not guaranteed that you will have excess skin, but it is more likely to happen. I hope this helps!

  • Im 4 weeks post op now :) did u put anything on ur scar to promote fading ?Im also worried about tanning did u put anything on it if u do tan ?

  • Aww, so happy and humble! Looks amazing and I wish you the best on the last 40 lbs but honey you look great RIGHT NOW!

  • Wow!! you look amazing! Im so proud of you and the determination it took to get up every day and exercise. Did you ever thing your torso would look like that??? you look like one of those girls that demonstrate the new workout equipment on t.v. LOL Good job Marlena!!!

  • you look great !

  • very brave, good for you, thanks for sharing.

  • you are absolutely gorgeous! good luck with the rest of the weight- you can do it!

  • is there a price diff. between getting a tummy tuck with or without the fat there? or was it cheaper b/c you worked out and didn't have any fat sucked out?

  • I never realized there was scarring, my sister wanted to have one so I need to tell her what I have learned here.

  • u go girl!!

  • Does anyone know how tall Marlena is?

  • you look great.

  • that looks better than my peritonitis scar, but obviously yours covers a larger area. I think it's healing very good, you look great and look happy :) that's all that matters

  • You should read Eat to Live by Dr. Fuhrman... it will change your life even more and may also help you kickstart the rest of your weight loss.

  • You have completely inspired me to go through with my tummy tuck, I am terrified, but after seeing your videos and results i'm a little less scared now. You look amazing, keep up the good work and I wish you the best!!!!

  • Hello...congratulations on all the weight you have lost!! you look amazing! Now did I hear right ?? You still want to loose 40LB's????? YYYYY??? You already look thin enough...where are you going to get 40 more pounds from??? I'm just afraid you are going to look unhealthy?? How much do you weigh if you don't mind me asking?? I think you are at your best weight just by looking at your wait..so tiny!!! Stay healthy! You are a beautiful girl and don't need to loose any more weight! :)

  • While it is completely about how you feel and what you want for yourself, I want you to know that from the eye of this beholder, I would still find you as beautiful at this weight as I would at 40 pounds less. Good for you for working hard to get what you want. You're truly inspiring. (:

  • You look Great!!! the scar is nothing for all your hard work!!

God Bless You ;) keep it up

  • The thinner you get the harder you have to push yourself. My sister now burns 1000 calories every day - she spends 6 hours at the gym 5 days a week. I think she's turning anorexic.

  • @ZephonTLucifer get her help :(

  • im loving ur hair in this vid xx

  • Your gorgeous no matter what. Great inspiration to get fit.

  • your GORGEOUS with such a sweet spirit, good for you & God bless!

  • where did you get a loan for the tuck???

  • You look beautiful!! You're an inspiration and so happy for you! Can't believe it's already a year! xx

  • wow u look beautiful, young and heathle it's very interesting how a person can look so different when we loss a lot of weight Congratulations! girl u did it keep your head up your doing a job and thank you for sharing this with all of us it really helps me I'm over weight too from having kids I love them to death but damm a lot of weight i gain but tryna lose it thx again :)

  • You look great!! Congratulations! I've been studying health, nutrition and natural healing for almost 10 years now, and one of the most important things to know when loosing weight or just trying to be healthy is to keep your PH level balanced, your body should be alkaline. When it is acidic your body cant function properly. Most fat is stored toxins, and your body needs a lot of minerals and vitamins to neutralize those toxins and send them out of the body. If it cant, than you wont loose fat.

  • im having pretty much the same problems and my stretch marks are way more visible .. i havent lost weight yet .... did your stretchmarks disappear a bit after the tummy tuck ? or do you use something to make it disappear ??? please answer dear....

  • that encourage me to do something about the extra 40 pounds i gained throw the 3 last years, especially after having my baby.. very inspiring

  • you look amazing - very inspiring xxx

  • Congrats! You look amazing and it's great you are working out and eating healthy... like you said: "doing it the right way."!

  • Wow, its been a while since ive seen ur videos.. and u look friggin amazing :)

  • Im happy for you !!

    xx

  • I'm so proud of you Marlena for keeping up your spirit about the surgery! Congratulations on the 1 year mark! =]

p.s. i love your lamps in the back ground =]

  • Congrats girl :) -3 you look fantastic, stay strong!

  • I also had a tummy tuck. Best thing I have ever done for myself. Kudos to you for not going the easy route in having your stomach resized to a teaspoon! You rock!

  • You look great bt when you said you lost weight " the right way" not with gastric bypass. I like to tell you that gastric bypass is NOT an easy way to loose weight it is a serious surgery that saves peoples lives, diet and excersice is still a big part of gastric bypass n its very offensive for u too think your way was " the right way" n everything else is unhealthy. I dont mean any disrespect bt i just thought you should know this.

  • @no1btliz I don't think you should think of it as offensive, she also doesn't mean that "everything" else is unhealthy.

  • @no1btliz I couldn't agree with you more! Makes me mad when people say that!

  • You are very inspirational. I don't even know you but I still feel very proud of you. Thank you for all these videos and updates- it really does help all of us who are also on a weight loss/ healthy lifestyle journey.

  • You are a

  • Thanks for doing this video. I had a tummy tuck 7 months ago. The only person who knows about it is my boyfriend because I was afraid of what others would think. Your video has really helped me :)

  • I've been loosing weight and let me tell you something, I'm JEALOUS of your chest and how good it looks. I need to start investing in some push ups hahahaha.

  • u go girl......

  • How tall are you and much do you weight right now, if you don't mind me asking!

  • wow u look great!!! i seriously need to start my diet n stop procrastinating...this seriously is inspirational. T.Y.

  • So beautiful Marlena! You go girl :)

  • How long til you started working out afterwards?

  • You look great!! I would like to know if you got a breast augmentation also or just a lift? Also did you get liposuction on your flanks? I'm getting consultations and am hoping to get a mommy makeover this Summer, so I really enjoy watching your videos on your tummy tuck. Thank you!

  • You're such an inspiration. Good for you. You look amazing.

  • You look great. I'm wondering about the scarring with the breast lift. Can you do a video and talk more about that surgery please. I'm considering the same tummy tuck and breast lift. Thanks.

  • Ive been debating this. Im only 23 and I have a child, Ive lost a good chunk of the weight, about 80 pounds. And I have some sagging skin. Im not too sure how much it bothers me anymore though cause Im so covered in stretch marks on my middle its not like Id ever wear a two piece or something lol. My husband doesnt mind it lol, but thanks for the video. You look great!

  • Yay way to go :)

  • You look amazing!!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!!!! <3 And be patient with the 30 or 40? more pounds you have! You will be able to do it! :) Also, if you can't do crunches as much because of the pain from the surgery (which is normal 4 it to hurt a lil still you are healing... I had back surgery just on the skin 4-6 years ago and it still hurts sometimes in the cold.) Anyway, since you can't do crunches, do the plank while holding your hands in the middle is my fave! Do it for @least 1 min.

  • I have been following u on this channel and my old one I deleted years ago. And love everything u do just didn't like when u said I didn't get a gastric bypass I lost it the right way.. I know u didn't mean it badly just mis-choice of words right

  • Hello from Indiana. I get swollen too after my surgery in april will be a year, but my was a gall bladder removal my stomach gets swollen and next day will be ok i notice that it happens when i eat food that has more salt, so far thats what i had notice, i am cutting back on eating salt for now, hope this helps i know it is different surgeries, Thanks for the videos.

  • what is your goal weight?

  • @owlheartuxo i believe she has to loose 30 o 40 pounds more but she said is mainly in her upper arm and legs, she has not say was her goal weight, she looks good and healthy.

  • @na83leo yeah i think she looks awesome now too that's why i was wondering :)

  • you look SOO good!

  • What size are you now after having your tummy tuck. You look amazing and you do not need to loose anymore weight. Your tummy looks great. I'm counting down to my tummy tuck. I have five weeks till my surgery. I hope I have a great tummy like yours after I heal. You look great and I think you are perfect and beautiful as you are now. Thanks for sharing your video it really helps :).

Thank you so much for your words. Many people look at you as their inspiration.

  • holy shit... don't take this the wrong way but... i hope to never get large because i'd never ever ever want that.

good job on the weight loss now though, you looks great minus the HUGE scars.

  • Hello :) - Congrats on losing all that weight! I know, how hard, losing weight, is! I've lost 120lbs! And, now, I'm stuck with lots, of loose skin, on my stomach. I carried most of my weight, in my stomach. It's so frustrating and depressing, for me!! I want to get a tummy tuck, this year. Could you please, tell me, any tips, on what, to look for, in a good plastic surgeon. I know, to pick a surgeon, that is board-certified. I would really appreciate any advice. Thank u!

  • You look wonderful. Am so happy for you and you should be so proud of what you accomplished. Very informative video and great resource video for someone considering that option

  • you look so happy! it's wonderfull!! :-D

  • Marlena, you are so inspiring! I am so happy for you!

  • Amazing! Good for you and good for doing what makes you happy and losing weight the RIGHT way! You are such an inspiration :)

  • Thanks you so much for this! Helpful. I'm contemplating a tummy tuck aswell.

  • you look AMAZING! keep up the great work!

  • Omg, u are amazing! Good job! What is your professional?

  • Marlena you look amazing!

  • good job !!! thank you for sharing

  • Every girl has stretch marks hunnie, regardless girl you look GREAT! All your hardwork paid off and you look amazing!

  • I've heard that when you get lipo on ur stomach fat will redistribute in the breasts. Did u notice that with your tummy tuck (I know a tummy tuck isn't lipo)? I'm thinking that maybe u only needed the tuck & the fat redistribution would've given u a lift anyway.

  • I REALLY want to have a breast lift done because my boobs are absolutely ruined. I gained 90 lbs. with my pregnancy, then worked my butt off to lose it, but now my chest reminds me of empty balloons. Are the scars on your breasts really visible? Did the recovery hurt and take a long time?

  • Can we not say "the right way" ? My mom had to have bypass because of heart failure and she needed to lose weight quickly but she was 217 to start with. Congratulations on your weight loss though, you look great

  • @kdizzle292 I'm sure your mother is an exception. Most people do it cause they are too lazy to lose the weight naturally when they are fully capable of doing it. I hope your mother is okay.

  • You look Amazing! & Very skinny Tummy! (: Congrats on losing the weight, keep it up<3

  • You look great in your videos; I never thought you would have to lose more weight because your face is fabulous. To help get over that plateau, change up your cardio workout because the body gets used to regular routines. Do something you never did before and see if that kick starts. Also, you are close so it's going to slow down. Good luck!

  • You look so great I'm having mine done March 28 this year excited can't wait. I hope my tummy looks as great as yours. I had a reduction on my breast three years ago now it's time for my tummy. Thanks for the videos they really helped.

  • U look great and lose 40 pounds where? You wouldn't want to look gaunt.

  • Side note: I love your eyelashes!

  • You look so good Marlene!! What did you put on your scar? Mederma? Vitamin E? The scar looks good! Kudos to your doctor for being a great surgeon.

  • Keep up the positive attitude beautiful =))

  • for the breast lift- do you have a scar?

  • holy crap, you look amazing!! i cant believe how different you look since i've first started watching you videos! does she not look kind of like megan fox??

  • You look absolutely wonderful ! You have always been a beautiful person from the inside out. I have battled with weight since I was a teenager. I have lost a lot of weight and I end up putting it back on.Last year I had lost a lot of weight and ended up getting pregnant unexpectedly I have since of course put all the weight I had lost right back on. I am hoping once the weather gets nicer I can get back to my walking an exercise. thanks for being a "true" beauty and being an inspiration :)

  • Cryo treatment is usefull to remove scars and some hawaiian herbs are good for reducing scars maybe even aloe vera. (Cryo treatment=freezeburn) You can go to a tattoo studio and they can freezeburn a tiny spot of your scar. After that the plastic skin covers and the desinfectant creams help. Don't remove the
