  • 5 stars!!! what tool do you use to make the shadows? burn tool?

  • The color layer is duplicated, darkened, and placed behind the lighter first layer. You get the shadows by erasing from the top layer. If you use a layer mask instead of actually erasing, you can easily add the lighter color back if you mess up.

  • Yes. Alex uses the small 4x5 Graphire tablet. He's looking into getting a Cintiq. If he does we'll probably make another video on it.

  • THe coloring is done in Photoshop. The line work is prepared in Illustrator.
