Pardon me while I geek on thephysics (cool factor aside that is ;) is that there is a problem with having such a high mounting point: In the event the car starts to get sideways the trailer will actually assist in rolling it since it's pushing at the very top of the car. Of course, it's bug, so safety shouldn't be an expectation... :P
There isn't any back-up if the hitch fails or the rain channel gets ripped off on a windy day. Probably didn't make DOT safety tests. Great concept. Perhaps with a mini pick-up 5th wheel.
I'm sold on a Shadow Camper of my own - too bad this idea died on the vine. I wonder whether the drip rail on any car is a sufficient mounting point? I hope it has electric brakes too. I'm willing to throw caution to the wind and own this + it's WAY cooler than a Pontiac Aztek with camping package & it has a loo too.
