  • AWESOME THE BEST!!!!!!

one question did you use campaign and then edditted the vid? or was it your own game??

  • @nanoquest1 I created my own missions with the editor to get the exact setup as I wanted. However, you still had to play the same situation endless times to get the footage you were looking for, because the events can be so unpredictable. :-)

  • @XShadowY I have a question how do the soldiers surrender?

  • @IMASIANSNIPA Yeah Totally, haha

  • Mosier:

"In Stalin's version of the war the heaviest losses occurred initially, owing to the treacherous surprise attack, and the official loss figures dutifully reflected steadily declining losses and a steadily growing Red Army. More recent data paints a contrary picture. The number of dead Soviet troops was actually higher in each successive year of the war. "

  • Mosier:

"More recent studies done after the collapse of the USSR raise the total, so that a highly respectable reference book gives an estimate of between 28 and 30 million, with the authors stipulating that the death toll could be as high as 35 million, a figure that includes civilian deaths as well, another complex issue that will be discussed. "

  • Mosier:

"Of course Stalin provided a convenient explanation for the imbalance: the German successes of the first days of the war, owing to Hitler's treacherous surprise attack, disguise the resilience and success of his army.

The problem with Stalin's tale is that as the facts about Soviet losses gradually began to emerge, the relatively low losses and the surprise attack, two central features of the legend, become more and more difficult to sustain. "

  • Mosier:

"Soviet figures have very little credibility, are in fact simply another instance of how Stalin created facts to substantiate the pseudo-reality of his state. But even putting that reservation aside and accepting the official Soviet data, the Germans clearly had an enormous advantage in the casualty exchange rate, the advantage being about 3.5:1, a calculation that suggests the reasoning behind General Volkogonov's characterization of Stalin. "

  • Mosier:

"In the decades after 1945, Soviet calculations of losses underwent substantial revision, the result being to raise the numbers considerably. Initially, the number given out was 7.5 million dead, and in the immediate postwar era that figure was provisionally accepted, when mentioned at all. Soviet writers were reluctant to state any hard numbers as to their losses."

  • Like John Mosier has written it was not France, Britain or Russia/Soviet won the military power of Germany in WW1 and WW2. It was USA and especially resources of USA. American soldiers were surely not better than those of Germany. Actually as Mosier and many american military studies are claiming - germans were better soldiers than allies. However the superiority of USAF and RAF was so enourmous during the WW2 that even the killrate was 4:4.5 for western allies.

  • @tranmere789 you must also remenber that the forces fighting the western allies in 1944 were low quality reservists that still inflicted heavy casualties on the allies

  • how do you make game video? is there any software for that? It just seems like a movie!! nice work!!! xD

  • 0:37 that tree got pwned

  • хорошие рабочие молодец Pоссия солдаты урpppаaaaa

  • leningrad. hand to hand combat. smolensk easy money...

  • I Wish hollywood, /steven speilberg can come up with a film like this one portrating the WEHRMACHT's invasion of RUSSIA aka barbarossa.

  • Why don't you use Men of War for new videos? Same game engine, it's the sequel. The graphics and physics are much nicer.

  • @JesseB954

The "Theatre of War" videos are almost 3 years old by now, probably any new WW2 video will feature "real" 3-D models, not game content. The close-ups in "Men of War" may look nicer, but the scale is too small and the Fog of War quite ugly as a background (except you are a modder and know how to get rid of it, which I don`t).

  • @XShadowY You know you can turn it off in the settings options, it also has a map editor and the maps are quite big I think, especially the multiplayer ones (which can also be edited). Well, I don't know, it's your preference, keep up the good videos.

  • @XShadowY fox of war can be turned of from setup, i think it would be awesome if you would use men of war to make vids.

  • @timesplitterdude Thanks for the hint. :-) However, I don`t think I will be doing any more WW2 videos with game content. "Theatre of War" was nice for that, because of the scale and compatibility with "IL-2 Sturmovik", but as you may have noticed I`m working on a WW2 stop motion film and maybe I will publish a WW2 CGI animation in between. :-)

  • @XShadowY You should get Theatre of War 2. It's the actual sequel to this one, not Men of War, which is the sequel to Faces of War.

  • Dalma396:

True. But it's what gives WWII games so much fun. I mean, who dosen't like exploding Panzers while shooting Nazis?

The Polish are seriously brave to stand up to Germany. You've got to honour that kind of courage.

  • very very good video mate keep up the good work

  • Great job 5/5

  • You do beautiful work, buddy. There are moments in this vid that are purely beautiful.

  • I`m happy that you like it! :-)

  • How was this made?

  • Check out my website to find more about the making. A link is in the "more info" window to the right.

  • nice vid

  • Germany indeed could win the war in the east, in my opinion there are 2 big mistakes of Germany:

    1. Not "finishing" the war in with Britain, because of the failed attempt to conquer Britain Germany had 2 fronts.

    2. The troops of Germany needed supplies and ammunition for the war in Russia, they could easily get it if Germany had sent some trains with goods, why they didnt did that? Because the trains were "needed" for the transportation of yews....

  • Also didnt they advance almost to moscow right at the beginning? then hitler sent his forces south for some reason against the advice of his generals. Id also like to know the kill ratio lol, nazis were like an elephant stepping on ants in russia but the ants just kept coming.

  • To those valid central points i wanna add the fact that i have read on abt fact the V-2 could have been put on use sooner if it the reluctance of the German High Command on ithe arsenal on time of the fall of France.I need also to note that other fail migth it would be the fact that the Luftwaffe didnt in time invest on any long-range heavy bomber(s)only by the mid of the war they tryed out the inregular Heinkel-177,the lack of heavy bomber was noticed on the"Battle of England".

  • Not realy because the russian has a deadly tank the T-34 and in the year 1941 the germand don't have the Tiger or the Panther yet to counter-match the T-34 exept the flak 88.

  • Hitler almost succedeed to conquer russia if his army is not defeat at stalingrad.

  • Germany could win the war in 1941, if Hitler would have provided Winter equipment for the Winter. Germany was alone, since its allies were totally unequiped for a long-term war. Italy started the war production the same the day they entered the war (typical Italian). Even if Italians were good soldiers, they had nothing.

  • Amazing vid !!!!

  • yeah, everyone who have attacked russia, have been jammed at moscow gates because of winter, and diseases.

  • Biggest mistake of Hitler attacking Russia

just like what Napoleon his forces waren't strong enough for the Russian Winter

  • even worse than the winter the manpower 20 million Russians were recruited in WWII and at Berlin 1.2 million Soviets attacked less than 30,000 men

  • @234jari234 don't forget the teutonic order as well...

  • @dogensu Almost forgot that one, thank you for saying it and reminding me of it

  • @234jari234 the wouldn't be any problem in Russia if Hitler wouldn't have started wars on all fronts...

  • @termometen That doesn't make any sense at all!

The tides began to turn in 1942.

Hitler had seized all of Western Europe with no or few attacks launched from Britain nor America.

The Russians did it all by themselves..

  • @234jari234 It would have worked if his Generals where the ones incharge. Hitler changed the plans of attack while the battle was raging sevral times.

  • is this game a disc and do u make ur own battles and stuff? realy good btw

  • At 9:16 I was like:

    HO-LEE SHIT!

  • man you sad you'll make a battle og the Bulge video till Christmas and its summer alreaady....when are you going to come back...?

  • Thanks for your interest and your concern! :-) But you must have misunderstood me, I meant that I don`t have time to work on the last part in the moment, because I`m busy with two other short films. :-( If you want to learn more about them, please check out my site which can be found in the video description window. :-)

  • Great edition! You are a master!

  • The nades scenes are great, especially the one a 4:28! You're the ultimate moviemaker!

  • Thank you. :-)

  • Once more you amaze me with your camera angles, captures the intensity, post-dramatic tension of the battle. Great Work!

  • Thank you! :-) Hope you enjoy the other videos, too... :-)

  • Whats the name of this game ?

  • Cool einfach klasse dargestellt.

    :D

  • realy cool vid :)

  • In Theatre of War you have map to conquer or is missions?

  • The video is ver.y good great work.

  • The German Army did not cross the 'Russian' frontier at the beginning of the invasion. The army crossed the Soviet frontier. This was the border between German East Prussia and the General Government of German occupied Poland on the western side, with the various Soviet Republics facing them. Stalingrad and Leningrad were certainly in ethnic Russian lands but the fighting was on the most part in the non-'Russian' parts of the USSR (Ukraine, Belarus etc)

  • You are right! And although I`m aware of that fact I think I simply overlooked it when I was editing this video at 3am in the morning. :-(

But if we can agree to the expression "White Russia" I`m only 50% wrong... ;-)

  • hey dumb ass its a fun movie to watch so dont put your history mumbo jumbo into the comments... ok???

good dog you get your steak tonight so stfu bitch

  • witch game is this?????????

  • in my opinion yes its an amazing game but it may take time to get used to because u are controling more than one thing ur bascily controling a whole army but yes in my mind a great game

  • Is theater of war worth buying? ive heard mixed reviews

  • sry but how do u get mission editor

  • Sorry for my late reply. The mission editor is part of the game, you just have to load it instead of the game (check for the particular icon in the game folder), create a mission, save it and then you can start the game and choose it in the "Single Mission" window.

  • name of the game plzzzz

  • dude i must say that ur movies are grate and no i will not ask any questions like what is this game but can i ask u did u use map eiditor or somthing im trying to find that for my theatre of war game

  • Thanks again! :-) For the videos I only used the existing maps, but with the mission editor, to be able to choose the exact units I wanted to use in the film.

  • at 9:19 its so drmantic good job!!

  • IS the music from enemey of the gates ?

  • As you can see in the video description to the right ... yes. :-)

  • ahh im so dumb i really didnt watch the description , but i have the movie so i kinda recgonice it :) sorry my english sucks so hard :) cool video btw

  • I`m pleased that you liked the video. :-) Seems many people only rush through the videos and don`t pay attention to the description. But fortunately you didn`t ask the most favourite question: What game is that? :-) Questions for the music I will answer. :-)

  • I really admire people who actually put some music equal to whats happining, in this case world war 2, it would sound crazy if the music genre was like metal or something! but you did a great job! TAKE CREDIT , Sincerley Eddy

  • Thanks for your appreciation! I prefer emotional kind of music for these videos, too. Many videos here on youtube dealing with WW2 have metal music as background and actually I don`t understand the relation between the images and the music. Such music prevents me from being involved in what I`m just watching.

  • i know what you mean, it doesnt fit at all!

But knowing that! we can be sure that there at least are 2 normal people on youtube who really put the emotion to the video! in that way u earn more views and better ratings

Cant wait for your next Video! and the last minute was amazing! i had goosebump i really do :)

  • Goosebumps is always gooooood! :-) Have you checked out my other videos, too? If not, have fun! :-) But if you did, I have to admit that the next video won`t be up too soon. :-( I`m busy with two short-films in the moment which I intend to show at festivals, so they have priority.

  • whats the name of this game? pls answer

  • yes ppl there is another ToW. Theatre Of War: Africa 1943

  • is ther going to be a 2nd TOW? the game looks cool.

  • how do you get the officers on there?

  • What officers do you mean exactly?

  • the Russian commissars standing out of the trench.

  • Can you tell me the exact minute? I couldn`t find any commissars outside a trench. Or do you mean the AT guns and HMG`s at the beginning? Them you cannot put into a trench, therefore I placed them just close to it.
