Nice set up... mine is too curious so I don't think i could put filter in there. I tried a thermometer and she kept trying to go behind it and almost got stuck. she is soo cute and i do love her curiosity. She likes to go inside this grassy plant and she gets stuck in there on purpose and wiggles so cute like she is playing. but the plant is safe : ) I love betta fish
@IampureSol LampureSol, bettas that purposely swim into plants like that and gettting stuck on purpose are usually sick. You should try to quarantine it and treat it with some medication or an Indian almond leaf.
I wish I could have this many females lol. I have 6 right now and I'm getting another red dragon super delta female from Thailand soon. So hopefully I will be able to breed one of my females with one out of 2 of my males. I just gotta wait till March to breed because I'm gonna be out of town in about a week for 5 days. Wish me luck! haha
It did bother them at the beginning. But once they got used to it, they became very strong swimmers and the current did not seem to bother them at all.
I have never seen so many female Bettas at one time in a tank like this. I would love to try this. Tell me please, do you have any problems with them fighting each other? I know its okay to try to put a couple females together if there is plenty of hiding places but this many? I would LOVE to have this many in one tank.
You can put much much more than this into the same tank. It's okay. There will be fights here and there, but none will be any casualties. They tend to develop a "Pecking" order. so you'll see nip fins here and there, but nothing major.
I'm going to get a couple for my current 29 gal community tank. Its a 12 year old tank, and its all different breeds of tetras. They are all about 5 years old and I have added no new tank mates in that many years. They will probably be so amazed when they see two new little girl bettas joining their family. I'm excited about it. I don't know why I did not think of getting a girl betta for that tank before now. And maybe I'll start a new tank with girl bettas like yours. I like it a lot.
I have alot of spawns. I just don't have the time or will to be filming everything. I do have alot of pictures though. Email me your email address, and I'll send you some of my pictures.
