Our video editor purchased the sound software as part of Apple's Final Cut Pro for $1,000 and has full rights to it's use. The video has not been Blocked or taken down, but Posting or Sharing it only shows the link and not the video player.
I truly hope youtube shows some class and deals with this bullshit, we don't need this crap. I know a guy who made a video poking fun at lady gaga and somebody who dislike it had it pulled using third party infringment.

There is an iPhone ap that does an amazing job of identifying song titles and artists. YT probably runs the audio through a similar filter when you upload a video to identify "potential" copyrighted material, then has a real person audit the video, private or not, to make the final call. If you upload it, YT lays claim to it, even if it's private. So, legally, they can give access to any third party they want.

I can fully understand where WMG is coming from they dont want us using songs without their permission... But if you really think about it, putting it in our videos actually means that you support the group who sings the song. Plus were actually advertising the song for them while they just sit on their asses and complain about us doing something wrong. WMG stands for Worst Music Group.
Really, we aren't making any sort of money from these videos, and this has just gotten out of fucking hand. I can understand how third parties remove leaked albums, or movies, but a song that's been out for years, or videos that are classics, shouldn't be removed. FUCK WMG.
What you call "third parties" are groups who put up tons of money to copy, package, market and distribute what artists may have created. Ownership is not so cut and clear, because many people contribute to final material that ends up on the market. Once you start paying some cash to make your stuff, you'll understand.

The way that works is that the Site scans your video as soon as it's uploaded for third-party content that matches the songs in their database. I bet if you slightly raise or lower the pitch of the song, It might not be able to recognize it.
One can try disputing it, but I have heard it doesn't always work. MIne is working at the moment because I disputed it, but there is no guarantee that it will stay that way. A lot of my musical interests have been expanded because of music on youtube, they should look at it as a form of free advertising.

I too got a problem, not just with the WMG, but with another music company. I recently had a Top 10 Sailor Moon Songs video up, but I was forced to deleted by a third party, and that third party was Sony Music Entertainment, because I used the song, The Touch by Stan Bush. I disputed the claim and it still got muted. I haven't violated any or all copyrights. Shoot, SMG has their own account and they force me to take my video down. All that for nothing. I'm in.

i once had a video that got removed on my other site from claim from god knows who claiming the music was theirs. But the music i used was from a guy on here who makes royalty free music (rickyvan or something like that) i gave props to him in my vids for using his music but some tard claimed it was theirs O.o

I simply don't understand how they would think a simple music video/parody or even a video clip is seen as a threat. Even when the vast majority of videos states "NO COPY-WRITE INTENDED" In which I do all the time. Adding more to the fact that no one uploading has anything to gain, profit or publicity otherwise. I understand the owners right to claim but seriously all we or shall say I ever intended to do was to tribute and share.

The way that works is that the Site scans your video as soon as it's uploaded for third-party content that matches the songs in their database. I bet if you slightly raise or lower the pitch of the song, It might not be able to recognize it.

One can try disputing it, but I have heard it doesn't always work. MIne is working at the moment because I disputed it, but there is no guarantee that it will stay that way. A lot of my musical interests have been expanded because of music on youtube, they should look at it as a form of free advertising.

I too got a problem, not just with the WMG, but with another music company. I recently had a Top 10 Sailor Moon Songs video up, but I was forced to deleted by a third party, and that third party was Sony Music Entertainment, because I used the song, The Touch by Stan Bush. I disputed the claim and it still got muted. I haven't violated any or all copyrights. Shoot, SMG has their own account and they force me to take my video down. All that for nothing. I'm in.
