  • Arr me be piratie now

  • what are you giving the bird for a treat?

  • it looks to cool! its crown thing lol

  • What happened to the birds feathers?

  • You will also notice the head is not plucked because it is not able to pluck it's own head. That bird probably had an owner who died and she is rehabilitatinig it into a better state. You can see the bird is very smart and seems like the type who needs lots of attention.

  • That is a bird who plucked itself. It is not her fault. She is probably a rescue for the bird or she would not be taking the time to work with it. Cockatoos are well known for plucking if they get lonely and stressed out. They can also self mutilate for no reason known cutting deep holes into themselves when they are very stressed out. They are called velcro birds because they depend on their human for all stimulation and when the human cannot provide it they pluck.

  • animal cruelty!!!!! make it more happy when its at a young age!

  • LEAVE BRITTENY ALONE! XD

  • what did u do to that poor bird!!!!!!!!

  • OMFG poor bird. Hopefully its in a better place now. It sure looks like it!

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS IT

  • i use to pet an parrot. i was crazy to even try. but my parrot was weird. she loved me and it was funny when i pet her cause everytime my mom got near her , she would get pissed very bad, my mom thought it was funny , but she stoped messing with the bird because she said the bird could have a heart atteck,, and we got rid of the parrot to my older sister and i died of some kind of bird cancer

  • @cuzzythewolf2 You died from bird cancer??? :D

  • @RythbustersRandom no the bird did, i forgot to put , T , in the word (it) . , yeah i mess up when i spell sometimes

  • @cuzzythewolf2 Yeah,I know i was just joking i mess thing up too(allot) =)

  • its a case of feather plucking

  • @neonelll it works with my girl bird

  • i am missy bird :D:D

  • Great! Very cool to watch it..

  • missy - bird is still a baby and a cute one at that!!!!!!!!!

  • Missy is so cuuuuuute! (:

  • What the fuck did you do to that poor poor animal

  • @weloveketamine feather disease....

  • @weloveketamine Why is everyone yelling about that SHE have done something to the parrot instead of listen to the people that knows? I wondered at first too why the bird had very little feathers but then I read the comments and understood. Learn to read before you write or just don't comment at all!

  • What the fuck have you done do that parrot

  • I have a budgie parakeet and I train him every day

  • GEEZUS that bird is naked from the neck DOWN!!!!!!!

  • @JDM867 Really? Those birds R 2 loud. The Chu Family owned a Scarlett macaw named Mario.

  • The bird shown with the plucked feathers is an umbrella cockatoo, when these birds pluck their feathers its usually because of stress or loosing a mate. Most likely she got this bird from an abusive owner or someone else because I couldn't imagine her mistreating her birds. She seems like a nice lady.

  • @TheGreenCheekConure yes shes stated in a different video missy bird was a rescue where she was kept in a wardrone for 8 years

  • What happened to that poor bird???

  • it can talk the bird it says its name

  • My parrot lets me kiss him now! Thank you! :D

  • i cant stand looking at that bird. not that i think it is ugly or anything just i find it sad that you haven't got her to the vet for her plucking problem

  • @biggboots

what do you think the vet can do?Missy seems like a fine bird who might have had a bad owner before

  • @MrHobbyenthusiast put a little cone over her neck to stop her plucking problem. i don't doubt that she may have had a bad owner before but that is a problem end of

  • wat in the hell happened to the poor bird

  • @Vampireknightlvr1 I agree with you. The bird is lucky that she's taking care of it.

  • that's how baby birds look like =)

  • For those who are wondering, this bird was obviously at some point either abused or neglected. Parrots in such a situation will pluck their feathers. It is a form of "Bird dementia" or insanity. Basically, a bird that is abused or neglected will go insane and pluck it's feathers.

  • @mattxr2i you're right and wrong at the same time. Birds do pluck out of depression, fear and stress. But this bird has a dissorder, its hereditary to these types of birds. Look it up. doesnt mean he's unhappy or was treated bad, he just has an illness.

  • @mattxr2i looks like an extreme case of molting to me.

  • it looks like that parrot got dipped in boiling hot water

  • ohhhhhhhh that bird is sooo poor what happened to him tell me for god sake !!!

  • what knd of treats

  • "expert" my ass. look at that bird! You think the lady is in any position to tell you what to do?

  • What happened to that bird? I think it was a result of an experiment with beta ray radiation :B It obviously plucked itself like some parrots do when they feel neglected what the fuck do you think happened?!

This woman is obviously nursing it back to health. How do I know this? I read the description; try it sometime before asking stupid questions.

  • anyone knows what i can give my parakeet as a treat? peanuts look too big for them.

  • @seewat try unsalted sunflower seeds. I have a lovebird and he loves them. They're a bit smaller than a parakeet and he has no trouble with them, so your parakeet will probably like them.

  • @seewat You can use sunflower seeds.

i have a amazon parrot and i give him sunflower seed.

  • That parrot looks busted but its moulting

  • very good try i like it an will try it at home sdufghb dfudf dfu f8yerffkejru rehufy bfdskjfye8r dku fdf kdfjkfjhd jfkjshfdkf d kjhf fkfjhfkjh euyrif ur f dfhdfkjvcb cvbc cvmnblasdf fdffkj kjfhmnbcv kvcvbfuhs dkfhsd djh fdfdjkfh fkjuf k dfd df f d f b b dfdfdfd fdfd f fd f fd f df fd fd f d df e d g gfg fg f g a a as fgasjnkjfnnm kj hkj jkkjhj s k asd sdf df lksfdlkfl;fj lkadfld aldf aldkf adfjaldkfjldkfjldi ou mnzc, mvn, mneiouywr io e ier eiru oie uoiru i eur

  • I trained my aggressive parrot to let me flip it on its back within 3 days of me owning it...so hah!

  • @alexahaller as if

  • @infinityjayne Way to dish it out. Sorry but next time you want to try and pick a fight, try to sound smarter.

  • IT SEEMS THAT SHE LOVE BIRDS BUT WITH A PARROT LOOKING LIKE THAT...THAT PARROT PROBABLY GOT RESCUED OR SOMETHING!!! SHE WOULDN'T HURT A PARROT!!! EVER.

  • if you guys read the information, the birds she uses in the video are rescue rehab birds. most likely, the bird stress molted.

  • what are you giving to him for a treat?

  • i loveee that bird. does he pluck his feathers?

  • Im just going to ask this was this bird sucked into a plane engine before this video was shot?

  • OMG! THE POOR BIRD! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!

  • That is one fucked up bird...

  • Cool cool cool awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome cool awesome awesome cool

  • >:O just touch their body or any where >:() i am scared

  • That's sooo cool!

  • The bird looks half-plucked!=O

  • @Tsubahi lol

  • Do African Grey's pull out their feathers?

  • @IWantLandingSnow all parrots do thats due to stress i have an african grey and thank god he is not plucking out there feathers

  • My dad loves blue and gold macaws.

  • I thought the bird was just molting. It happens at a certain point in a young cockatoo's life, their feathers fall out so they can grow bigger stronger ones... maybe im wrong, im no expert >.>

  • mabye operation

  • I am so happy that atleast someone replied.... Actually I love birds (Parrots especially), I m up for all the hard work but my history with bites scares me...My little green parrot once bit me so hard that my bone could be seen in that finger joint of mine.... and the worst thing is that u cant have revenge on them...They are so cute...:P

  • Lol its not abuse I promise you :)

Some parrots pluck their own feather with their beaks!! Causes are usually that they are sick, bored, or even depressed.

  • How bad do large parrots bite.

  • hurts like hell

  • @MercedesCars454 well i just got bit by my african grey, it just left a tiny scar, it stings for like 1 minute

  • hey i was just guessing you have a few birds... what do u use as treasts... or if u dont what could i use??

  • i have an african grey parrot :P

they love fruits, peanuts, sunflower seeds

  • I am really afraid of parrot bites...I have been bitten so many times.... I had a green parrot and was quite smaller than that parrot in the video.... and he bit hard... I wonder how bad would that big parrot bite....probably chop the finger apart...

  • from what i've seen, smaller birds do the most damage. my ringneck doesn't bite hard but as for one of my cockatiels...damn. that one draws blood =p

  • ya ive noticed that to,i have a ringneck aswell even tho it it hurts when he bites my bros english budgie bite me while i tryed to clip his wings and it hurt worse than my ringneck

  • their beaks are tiny so they hurt.

it's like pinching a lot of someone's skin in comparison to a small bit with your nails

  • @tommyjax40692 bigger parrots dont bite that hard, they bite slowly, so u have time to take ur finger away

  • JESUS CHRIST!!! What the hell happened to that poor bird????

  • @schlaznger Large birds tend to feather pluck when they are bored, nervous, overstimulated, stressed, or want attention.

  • @schlaznge the human equivalent would be biting yer nails.

  • @schlaznger its a baby

  • @schlaznger he is plucking or chewing his feathers this happens when they get bored orr are going through adolecence

  • @schlaznger i think she rescued it from somewhere and it has a skin condition or something like that :)

  • @schlaznger lol he plucks not happy, or scared, nerves, boad, health problems or alot more reason

  • @DannyDeVitoLover thats not from plucking, thats a heriditary disorder birds can get. He was ill at one point, does not mean he was treated bad or he is unhappy, he has a disorder.

  • @schlaznger The bird is molting. Its a natural occurrence in which they loose and regrow a large majority of their feathers. It's like how our skin cells have completely been replaced after some time, they just rush through it in a very short period with small feather loss throughout the years

  • koochmonkey i have the answer your bird isnt getting enough attention that day or at all greys umbrella cockatoos and other parrots need alot of attention you need to train her to step up search how to train a parrot to step up on youtube and it shows how my bird used to do that untill i gave alot of attention but not to much then they did the right stuff well theres your answer

  • my parrot puts his head down so i can pet him but do cant get on my finger because whenever i put my hand near it to get on, he just put his head down. what do i do? please respond, i have a aferican grey parrot

  • Looks like a fricken bobblehead.

  • hahahahahahahhaha

  • From all of the videos I've watched from expertvillage, my guess is that the cockatoo is a rescued parrot. Missy was a traumatized bird who plucked her own feathers. She now seems very happy and content. I haven't seen a single training clip that I didn't agree with. So with all of this valuable knowledge, Missy's feather plucking ~isn't~ because of any neglect of her current home or handlers! For those who don't know, her feathers will grow back, even without a vet. She's now in good hands!

  • what treats do you give her/him?

  • take it to a vet

  • when a bird bites that doesnt mean that the bird needs to go to a vet !!!

  • im not talking about biting. Im talking about that bird who plucked all its feathers

  • yea the bird has to go to a vet

  • Does she really seem like the kind of person who'd neglect their bird too you?

  • i what am trying to say it that the bird plucked all its feathers. So they should take it to a vet

  • That's true, but I'm guessing she probably has and is doing treatment now or something.

  • can some one help me when i try to do that he trows me a bite

  • poor missy!

  • everytime i touch my bird's feet she step up...so i'm not sure what to do now.

  • Missy bird is sweet, but it's so sad how she has torn herself up so badly.

  • Petting parrots is very difficult.

  • my budgie likes to get touched all the time, then i come near him with my finger, he turns his head to get scratched. I can lie my nose over his head and he just sits there in half sleep :)

  • um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um um

  • whats with all this US military talk? what the fuck does that have to do with parrot training? if you wanna argue about politics and rights, fuck off somewhere else and do it.

  • hello ,what kind of treat you offer him?

  • sunflower seeds

    grapes

    green chilly

    peanuts

    praise

  • You should NEVER wave your hands around, or move fast like that around a bird. See the way she reacts? They see this as a threat. This bird has a serious problem, or has had one. This is why they pluck their feathers. This is one reason we don't suggest people new to birds get a Cockatoo. They require a lot of attention, and if they don't get it, they will do things like pluck or mutilate themselves. It is sad, and a hard habit to break once it starts.

  • Dont talk about a place that has been demolished&dominated by the US to look the way it looks now when you dont know how beautiful it was before your ignorant narrowminded friends and family joined us military to destroy it for oil.

Jesus have mercy on the souls of the us military that murdered innocent ARAMAICS that lived in Iraq&caused muslims to murder many aramaics as well. Bahebak Aramaic Suryoyos the first christians to ever follow jesus

    Learn some respect, jerk.

  • grow up...

  • Grow up??? Excuse me, but lulubomber seems to be much wiser and knowledgable than you, so if anything, you should grow up, darkndodgy.

  • thank you very much! <33 You made me smile. It's great to know there's still people who will stand up for other people. You're the best Minimoviesinc!

  • What!? I'm a great person too!=()

  • Lulu please forgive that i ever took foot in the middle east in wearing a U.S military uniform. Remember every one has souls and there are still good people in the U.S Army.

  • :D...Well, thanks! And yeah, newjersey02, I believe there are many soldiers that are good, and I think it's wrong to generalise in any case. I don't balme the US soldiers anyway, it's the politicians and the corporate giants who control them who are at fault.

  • my bird only likes seed and millets - i have tried leaving treats of all kinds, but he avoids them at all cost. can u help with this behavior? i know he would enjoy them if he would try them.

  • Have you tried sharing them with him? Sometimes when they see you eat them, it helps. Also, you could try making it smaller, such as chop things up. Sometimes the size of some foods are threatening. It depends on the type of bird too. You should join my parrot help group on Yahoo Groups. It is also called Parrot Flock. I am starting a parrot help podcast this month as well, and will announce it there.

  • Feather plucking is from boredom or sadness is similar to the human behavior of "cutting". It means the bird had some emotional trauma in the past.

  • How to Pet Parriots????

  • that bird looks so unhealthy, but i dont no about birds so it myt be very healthy

  • She is a feather plucker, which is due to emotional problems from a variety of reasons. It is common with Cockatoos, as they require a lot of attention. If they don't get it, they either scream or pluck, & many times do both. It is really sad to see, and a hard habit to break them from doing.

  • To those asking, this 'too plucks, it is sometimes due to a skin problem they pull feathers, or due to stress, boredom or loneliness.

Most of the rescue birds i deal with have plucking problems. Some, you can cure with enrichment, some with a bath under the shower head or a running tap daily to clean the skin, and some need special treatment from a vet to cure it. Once a bird plucks, it's a very hard behavior to stop.

Very good vid though, most birds prefer cheek petting to body petting.

  • oh my god, no affence but that parrot looks really funny ^^

    Thanks for the tips

  • pretty bird lol

  • its because its molting

  • Why does it have no feathers?

    O_________O

  • cause parrots change ther feathers almost each 18 months

  • It's probably molting, they loose most of their feathers every once in a while.

  • No, it is plucking. Molting is never that severe.

  • YOu sure?

    Actually

I think you may right, I hear this species is a very crazy bird and tends to pluck it's self.

  • lol it looks so funny with no feathers, but dont they do that when they are in distress or to get attention? plz reply

  • did someone shave your bird?

  • You have to be very gentle when petting a birds head because birds have things called pin feathers and when you pet the bird wrong, the pin feather poke that back of the birds head. This can feel like shoving a peice of plastic into the back of the birds skull. Without knowing it, you could be causing your bird pain.

  • The bird lo0ks scrawny. But it actually just doesnt have feathers.Isnt it cute.

  • Elizabeth, you look really cute and u have beautiful lips :)

  • I did this with my parent reared ringneck it took a few weeks to get really close but now he's really cuddly with me and doesn't like any one else, yes it's time comsuming and you need to have a lot of patience but definitely worth it, that's true love for you!!

  • Why is your polly going featherless

  • it actually plucks its own feathers she should really mention that the bird is a plucker rather than kind of ignoring it like this is my naked bird lets touch it...lol
