Exquisite...all the more amazing considering the fact that "Misha" would have still been in *diapers* when Jeanmaire danced this part (created for her by her husband Roland Petit) for the first time in 1949!

@Sweeney1407 -- Assuming that this is the version which was recorded for broadcast in 1980, Baryshnikov (born in either 1947 or 1948, depending on your source) would have been in his early 30's. At best, he'd have only been two years old when this ballet was first performed. Jeanmaire (born in 1924) would have been about 56 at the time of this recording. Not bad, huh?!? (If you want to see something amazing, watch the 1960 film "Black Tights"...it contains the full ballet.)
