Very helpful. I've only played classical piano up to now, so crushing doesn't come naturally to me -- I keep wanting to use 4-5 instead of 4-4. But I'm working on it...
good video but make sure you get your facts right and actaully know what your playing, because most of the time you put in extra notes on top of what you tell us to get those bluesy accents. take the time to go over every note you play!
the only problem for me is I don't have a keyboard I have an actual piano and I cant move to fast on it because the keys have so much more resistance than keyboards do
i love your tutorials, thank you for uploading. i've just started learning blues piano/organ, it will take me a while to play some of the things in your videos but you've given me some practice material!
i would look at the yamaha DGX/CLP range, CVP's are better if you can afford them, had mine for 5 years now and havent regretted paying the extra money once, though I do alot of Keyboard work as well.
Thanks for the vids, helped enormously . LH chords in the turnaround are confusing...
Sprunger seems to be playing G, C#, F to F#,C, F to F,Bb,D to E,Bb,D ending with return to the first 2 chords.
Turnaround as I understand it is some variation on V - IV - I - V? So I read 1st chord as A7+ (V of V) to D7#9 (V), next 2 poss subs for (IV) chord C9sus to C9 - or (I )chord G7#9 to G6#9 - or some combination ? depends what bass is doing (can't hear on sprungers vid - any thoughts?
You can do a pentathonic scale, it would be very good. The left hand can do the complete blues accompaniament, adding the third note. Try in the 4/4 compases with all the scales. Very good lesson
heyyy! awesomee :D. great teacher :D! jst one pointer.. mmm sumtimes it's too fast? when u show the notes u play with ur right hand? its a bit confusing sumtimes :) but its all still great :D
Ben this is really good stuff! Love that you break down some of Sprunger's licks...they are hard to get for me. I wish you would break down Stevie Winwood/Traffic's classic "Glad." You must know it. Keep up the great music lessons! :)
Dude You are really good! I am going to use this in church...Pentecostal church is nothing more than blues, jazz, and classical, and a lil more all in one! great Job! kepp 'em commin!
this is amazing - so much to take in at once, but sitting at the piano with the laptop makes it all possible :D thanks a million mate, love your videos!
It's actually very good but what makes it so good is the end wich is quite rich (end means the chords ending the verse) and tis part is not very clear caus you're changing the notes you play each time you shox it... I just can't follow!! could you clear it for me please? Cheers, mate...

@ixSTRAFExi Most people prefer the piano touch no matter what kind of keyboard they are playing and I think the keyboard is of the same kind

@ixSTRAFExi
getting used to a real piano just takes practice and finger strength
so just play, play, play
(okay, maybe five finger pushups will help, but that might be a little extreme :P )

Is the tonic in the G or in the G minor chord?
