  • bottom strings tuned diffrent or something? When I do the intro the bottom strings sound so wierd

  • nice guitar nice lesson

  • Beast mode. love it. i learned blackbird, the beatles, on my own (with tabs of course) not im gonna knock this one out. Thanks!

  • You guys, I'm sort of a beginner at this - I learned 'Redemption song', 'No woman, no cry' and 'Baby can I hold you' from the website. Now I'm trying to learn this song and it's going alright, but I'd like to ask: should I, with my few weeks/months of experience, stick to the beginners' lessons, am I ready to learn a song like this, or is it really something for me to determine?

  • @DrsJacksonn the best way to learn is to want to play something you love, even if it's difficult. This song is not for beginners, so much special chords and need a experience of the fingerstyle approch and touch.

  • @YTMalero @YTMalero Alright then. I certainly notice that the will to play a new type of song (with emphasis on 'new' as I'd like to learn new techniques as I progress) helps me to make it through here. The only thing I'm having trouble with in this first lesson was the movement with my ring finger on the first A-chord, and even though my index finger is all sore, I'm getting the hang of it. I'd like to include that all the knowledge about the guitar I've accumulated so far is from your lessons.

  • @DrsJacksonn I have my guitar know for about 3 month and i discovered that you can play nearly everything if you really want to. It's only a question of will and practicing. Cause you'll need a lot of practicing and this may sometimes be a little demotivating, but doesn't mean you can't do it. I'm also learning this song and it works fine so that for i would really recommend you to keep learning this. Don't give up, you'll make it!

  • lesson 2???

  • @YTMalero thanks a lot, gracias

  • i really learned!!!! thank you so much!

  • DUDE!!!! PUT THE REST OF THE VIDEO ON YOUTUBE!!.

  • You post only the first quarter of the video- then it redirects you to a site that does not exist. I want numbers 2-3 and 4. Why is it in youtube there isn't any actually free- full versions of this stuff without having to go to someone else's non-working site?

I am an intermediate player and I already know this song but I like your finger placement for certain chords. Can you please, pleeeeeeease, just put the rest of the lesson on youtube?

  • Were are part 2 3 and 4?

  • @BatesMal the other parts are on the website mlr-guitar(dot)com/tears_in_heaven(dot)html

  • @YTMalero thanks :D

  • Wow. That's some great teaching! Thank you for that, helped me a lot :)

  • Is That Yamaha NTX series Guitar?

  • @rrawla I play a Pierre Fontaine guitar made in Paris. It's a Gypsy model inspired by Selmer Maccaferri and adapted for the nylon strings.

  • Your tutorials are the most thorough of them all, which I can easily like! But if you also said what you where doing, it would be easier to keep pase :)

  • great as always :D

  • new guitar?

  • @iserkaldt No, this one is my nylon guitar (gypsy model by Pierre Fontaine). I already used it for many lessons. Clapton plays the song with a classical guitar, that's why I preferred the nylon stings to make the video :-)

  • @YTMalero Is there a particular string that you recommend or does it vary from the individual song? I'm very new to guitar so I apologize for the noobish question. I have a Samick that my nieghbor gave me but it has, I guess, the normal strings on it.

  • @cppdreed Hi, there are no particular strings to recommend, depends of what you play and how you play. I just notice here that I used nylon strings because the Classical guitars are with nylon strings and Clapton plays the song with a classical guitar. The Folk guitars (blues, pop, rock...) are with steel strings.

  • @YTMalero TY. I'll probably switch because I'm getting quite a bit of vibration on my low E and it usually causes me to stop playing and throws off my rythm. (which isn't very good in the first place.)
