Be active in what you believe in, and do not focus on what benefits you, but the entire country. @waters2100, There's actually quite a few, easy to find studies, which show evidence that Marijuana use slightly reduces your risk for lung cancer. And even more studies which show THC to have verifiable anti-cancer effects.
It's not a cure for cancer, but it may explain why there have not been any cases of lung cancer, actually linked to having been caused by Pot use.
And regardless of what those studies show, you'll find FAR worse negative health effects in Alcohol and Tobacco! =P

Beer kills, marijuana doesn't, many people will switch to marijuana because it does not mess up your liver, and there are no hangovers from it, It doesn't make you dizzy to the point that you fall on your ass, and it doesn't make you black out or drown in your own saliva and die like beer does. The only people that appose marijuana are police or religious fanatics. I can understand it making police officers job's difficult, police are going to have to change their investigation tactics. Making judgement call's will be difficult. You could smoke marijuana in front of the police and it wont be probable cause to further investigate for other crimes. Marijuana crimes are BS and that is solely the reason I resent the police.

@waters2100, There's actually quite a few, easy to find studies, which show evidence that Marijuana use slightly reduces your risk for lung cancer. And even more studies which show THC to have verifiable anti-cancer effects.
It's not a cure for cancer, but it may explain why there have not been any cases of lung cancer, actually linked to having been caused by Pot use.
And regardless of what those studies show, you'll find FAR worse negative health effects in Alcohol and Tobacco! =P

@waters2100 Even heavy marijuana smokers will at most smoke five or six joints a day. Even if the smoke contains more carcinogens, on a practical level, it is much less harmful as a lot less of the smoke is inhaled.

Obama is the head of the Executive Branch which these two agencies fall under. If he put his weight behind making changes to the classification of Marijuana, things would change at the Federal law enforcement level! This would have effects throughout the nation if not the world!
