i have a problem. when i switch on my a/c for a long time and when there are doors open for a long time , it will start to leak... ruined my bedsheets
so what's the answer? What was the problem? And did you get it fixed?? I now have that same problem on my a/c...but it didn't start doing that until now...the unit is only 9 months old. What's the deal???
the pipe needs to have an angle so it drains off if it is not angled right instead of running off to the lowest point(drainage) it will puddle and overflow thus creating the same prob U have.
if I'm not mistaken that white pvc pipe is your drain, it must be clogged at the outside of the house.
thats what happened to me, I went out and cleared and presto! find the drain and clear it from insect nests(in my case) or anything clogging it, unless it was routed to the sewage or sink draining pipes. tell your landlord its his resp to clean it.
As it turns out, the drain on the new A/C either was hooked up to the wrong place, or not hooked up at all! There is now a plug where it used to go, and the pipe connects to the A/C in a different spot.
