Every foxconn motherboard me or my friends have had has broke within a year and a half. Not even blue screen death, they dont even want to boot. FOX CON is GARBAGE!!!!
You mention keyboard socket (ps2) just a note to say it is for keyboard/mouse, they hadn't adopted the new colour scheme for it as like other boards, eg purple/green :)
@TheMaazster Will support all Athlon II and Phenon II X2, X3 & X4 processors. Not sure if it supports AMD Hexcore CPUs tho. Your processor will be fine.
I've just bought and fitted the Cinema 11 (not deluxe). It was only £30 off ebay and brand new. I fitted a am3 quad core and 4gb ddr3 ram and I must say I'm very impressed with the board. The outputs are amazing for a £30 board. HDMI, DVI-D and optical sound. It's the first foxconn I've used but definately won't be the last.
@1919k Just wondering if you have connected it to a surround sound or av receiver? can you get True HD / DTS-MA audio? Also if you are using the onboard Radeon 4200 how does it cope with Blu-Ray? Cheers, would really appreciate a response. Thanks.
@ShadowBoxer85 Tbh I'm using it has a desktop rather than a home cinema. I've got it powered to good quality powered speakers using a usb soundblaster box. I've not checked a blue ray disc with the Radeon 4200. The only con I've found with it is it's only got one standard pci slot where as I could have done with 2. Sorry not much help really. But it's a great board for the money I've had no problems with it so far.
This MB uses DDR2 memory NOT DDR3, it is an AM2+ MB, not an AM3. However you CAN use a AM3 CPU as they have BOTH the DDR2 and DDR3 controller on chip. You CAN'T use a AM2 or AM2+ CPU on an AM3 MB because these CPU's don't have the DDR3 controller. (There are one or two DDR3 MB's that have sockets for BOTH DDR2 and DDR3 memory which would actually make them AM2/AM3 Mother boards).
@roycream00 It depends on the game.With the integrated graphics onboard the motherboard it will run older (but good) games rather nicely.With many newer games one will need a good add on graphics card either that or lower the resolution and detail.I have 2- 785G type motherboard based PC's and am able to run Microsoft Flight Simulator X,iL-2 1946,Postal 2,Quake 4 pretty well although with 1280 by 1024 pixel or 1028 by 768 resolution depending on the game.
@m9078jk3 do you think this board is good for digital audio workstations and music production. . .u know like Pro Tools & software synths etc. . . . Im considering buying it. . Ive even heard foxconn is better than ASUS in certain instances. . . .peace.
Hard to say.If you're doing serious large scale production perhaps you would desire the most powerful CPU's from Intel line like the i7 980x.However it makes a wonderful HTPC board.
