Damn, film-shot music videos used to look so gorgeous. This is what Heaven should look like. When I read about how video interpolation is being built into all new fancy new TV's because the masses prefer film not to have this otherworldly quality but instead want everything to look like cheap digital video, I just can't understand it. How could anyone (much less such a large segment of the population) not appreciate the pure magic of visuals like this?

This was the 1st video and it was very VH1 soft rock, and it was the year of Grunge so she made a more arty, stark 2nd version. This first one here was Directed by Lisa Bonet, it's always been my favorite. It may not be as hip but it captures the spirit of the song.

The first version of the GWF video was directed by Lisa Bonet (pretty lighting, in color, etc) and featured Harry Dean Stanton. Milla wasn't satisfied with the way it came out and decided to make a new video (black and white, tarantula, etc.). This one is basically a pastiche of Maya Deren's famous avant-garde short film "Meshes of the Afternoon" (1943).
