I was at this concert in Kansas City and it was a thrill of a lifetime to see Celine live...No other artist compares to her!!! Not only her voice but the great person she is...Celine is for real and so is her music!!

@seano1515 She can change the note instead of lipping. Lipsync is ALWAYS something bad, even if every singer is a human. That's not an excuse, she can lower the key, or lower only the high note, or skip the high note, she can do a lot of things with the song instead of lipping. But I love Celine, that's not the question, her voice is awesome, no doubt about that.
Sometimes, if a singer can't perform songs with exactly the same high notes, people criticize them harshly for it. It's a lot different when that singer is old, like Aretha, who can no longer sing like she used to b/c of her age, so no one expects her to sing the same. So I completely understand why Celine lips.

Same thing with the high note in All By Myself, mic is lowered a little bit, and playback begins. Basically, the songs that are lipped are performed live, but it's not noticeable. Hey, she got sick tons of times on tour and when she was in Vegas. Give her credit for recovering tons of times.

What's it anything to you, anyway? Maybe she was sick or had the flu or something. Have you ever tried to sing or even speak when you have a cold or soar throat; it hurts really bad. I agree that because people pay good money to see her they should get the real thing, but I believe I would be more concerned with Celine's health if I loved her enough to go see her in concert than I would to hear her live. Lip singing can also help make a better show when someone isn't 100%.
Another issue I have with you saying that. Famous people are scrutinized constantly by millions of people. Can you imagine how much pressure she is under to produce a good show? If she had a bad performance, she would be on the news the next day, and they would be talking about "the decline of Celine Dion." Just keep that in mind before you make hasty statements like that.
Well the truth is it is the decline of Celine Dion vocally and quality wise, so if thats what would take place by her not lipping thats what should happen. To uphold her OLD talent which she ONCE HAD she lies to millions of people and fakes them out of their money....u might find that ok, but i dont respect that.!

Yes she does all of ALL BY MYSELF IS LIVE, even the high note. SHE SINGS IT, BUT WE HEAR THE BACKGROUND track, that is the difference. IDAN is also live with a background track. In Vienna the background track malfunctioned yet we still HEAR Celine singing thus she sings LIVE.
can people at least give the band credit: THEY ARE PLAYING LIVE. She is also singing "live" in her mic, although what we hear is the background track. People expect perfection.

That kind of note at 2:51 would take some sort of movement projecting such power from her diaphram, and not at all the quick easy "O" that she forms with her mouth with no indication of her tongue moving for the "L"...this is some lame miming to playback on her part...compare this time to some of the early performances (93-94) and you will CLEARLY see what i mean :-)
I think Celine was performing live in some shows, the voice is completely different..in San Juan the voice was different, so it was live. On and off she sings live to save her voice, or she follows the Vegas track in some shows.
Now that's what makes her so elegantly different from the rest. She says THANK YOU to her fans applauding her gazillion times after each song and then she APOLOGIZES that she had to cancel a show and THANKS them AGAIN for giving her another chance to perform for them!!!! How NICE is that? Then you see Madonna (and nothing against her, I think she is talented in her own way) saying "F*%& You B&#*$" when people applaud her at her concerts....
I'm seen her live a dozen times...front row...in Vegas, this tour and even before and I'm telling you this woman is not lipping her songs...she is a "freak" so to speak as vocals go...her vocal endurance is uncanny..it's all her..and it's just a gift...you don't see it often but she the absolute real deal.

Funny Broadway singers ...sing every night and don't lip, they pull it off...some singers are just amazing singers...Babs did a tour a little over a year ago and sang everything perfectly..at 65 years old...no lipping there either. I approve. All her show is live. Except this song. Starting at 0:37, in this video, the lips sync starts. Only this sonfg. All other songs she sings them live and amazingly well. But this one, for some reason, she decided to use an older version and play it.
What parts of RDMH would you say are lipped? She has fubbed all the hard parts live in videos hear and there, seen around youtube. Everyone thought RDMH was lipped for a while, then proof it wasn't started popping up. Made me happy. haha.

Well I don't know if I'd call it "studio magic"; that implies she's in the studio and they're fixing her tracks like they do for Britney Spears or Linsday Lohan type stuff. Celine isn't relying on "magic" to pull her songs off, but she is using previously recorded live tracks from other performances; it's still her voice, but with no major touch-ups or tricks to make it sound good. While I don't really like that she does this, I don't agree with calling it "studio magic".
celine dion is a veteran singer. she a powerful voice that God ever made. She will not sing a lip synched if it will dispose her in disgrace. This is a live concert and not just thousands but millions of people around the globe that could see her in this event. I am a massive Celine fan, and I can accept the fact she mimes over a pre recorded track. It is understandable.
If you really want to know when Celine is miming, watch her bottom lip, it quivers. When she is singing live her bottom lips dosen't quiver.

Another issue I have with you saying that. Famous people are scrutinized constantly by millions of people. Can you imagine how much pressure she is under to produce a good show? If she had a bad performance, she would be on the news the next day, and they would be talking about "the decline of Celine Dion." Just keep that in mind before you make hasty statements like that.

Well the truth is it is the decline of Celine Dion vocally and quality wise, so if thats what would take place by her not lipping thats what should happen. To uphold her OLD talent which she ONCE HAD she lies to millions of people and fakes them out of their money....u might find that ok, but i dont respect that.!

She still has amazing talent... the new stuff sounded great live e.g- 'Can't fight the feeling' and 'Fade away', not forgetting old gems like 'The prayer' and 'I'm your angel'. She even sang 'Think twice' when i saw her in May last year. Let's not forget she has a 40+ year old voice, she's not 20 anymore, and my gosh she's not the only one who is assisted by playback... Eagles, Mariah Carey, Dolly Parton, (lips whole shows!) Michael Jackson, (rarely sang live from early ninties onwards) etc etc.

@petergriffin9901 All her new songs are 100% live and so are big numbers like All By Myself. If she lips part of one, NO BIG DEAL. I paid to see her new numbers. BEsides she DOESNT lip, she sings under the track.

Yes she does all of ALL BY MYSELF IS LIVE, even the high note. SHE SINGS IT, BUT WE HEAR THE BACKGROUND track, that is the difference. IDAN is also live with a background track. In Vienna the background track malfunctioned yet we still HEAR Celine singing thus she sings LIVE.

can people at least give the band credit: THEY ARE PLAYING LIVE. She is also singing "live" in her mic, although what we hear is the background track. People expect perfection.

she didnt admitt to lipsynching at all, -rolls eyes- i watched the interview on E answering claims of miming she said, that she sings all her songs live but she has some help from the sound guys on the high notes, so yeah basically she lipsynches the high notes. and sings the rest not just the first few sentences lol x

That kind of note at 2:51 would take some sort of movement projecting such power from her diaphram, and not at all the quick easy "O" that she forms with her mouth with no indication of her tongue moving for the "L"...this is some lame miming to playback on her part...compare this time to some of the early performances (93-94) and you will CLEARLY see what i mean :-)

I think Celine was performing live in some shows, the voice is completely different..in San Juan the voice was different, so it was live. On and off she sings live to save her voice, or she follows the Vegas track in some shows.

Now that's what makes her so elegantly different from the rest. She says THANK YOU to her fans applauding her gazillion times after each song and then she APOLOGIZES that she had to cancel a show and THANKS them AGAIN for giving her another chance to perform for them!!!! How NICE is that? Then you see Madonna (and nothing against her, I think she is talented in her own way) saying "F*%& You B&#*$" when people applaud her at her concerts....

I'm seen her live a dozen times...front row...in Vegas, this tour and even before and I'm telling you this woman is not lipping her songs...she is a "freak" so to speak as vocals go...her vocal endurance is uncanny..it's all her..and it's just a gift...you don't see it often but she the absolute real deal.

oh pshaw... she lipped almost 1/3 of the taking chances tour... and used the same tracks from her vegas show, which she had been lipping to for 5 years. THIS song has been lipped since at least 1994/95, using the same vocal track.

Funny Broadway singers ...sing every night and don't lip, they pull it off...some singers are just amazing singers...Babs did a tour a little over a year ago and sang everything perfectly..at 65 years old...no lipping there either. It's just what they do, it's their lot in life. But if you cant believe Celine is just that good...then don't...whateve.

If you think about it. How many live shows has she done over her career? Do you think if she performed every song every time live, we would still have Celine? No! Her voice would be severely damaged and she would sound awful! So, thanks to her syncing, she still has a beautiful singing voice.

I approve. All her show is live. Except this song. Starting at 0:37, in this video, the lips sync starts. Only this sonfg. All other songs she sings them live and amazingly well. But this one, for some reason, she decided to use an older version and play it.

What parts of RDMH would you say are lipped? She has fubbed all the hard parts live in videos hear and there, seen around youtube. Everyone thought RDMH was lipped for a while, then proof it wasn't started popping up. Made me happy. haha.

I just seem to remember her lipping it during the first part of the tour, then starting to see vids where she actually made some changes to her vocals/flubbed the lyrics, but not during the first leg of the tour. Made me happy, too! LOL!

There is an[or more] performances in Africa where the high note was cut off cause she didn't have the mic all the way to her mouth :P I don't think she ever lipped RDMH on tour. I guess I could be wrong, but I don't think I am hehe.

i listened to this song on my ipod cuz this video sounded really familiar. she sings the first pat live then when the chorus kicks in it's lipped. the chorus on the video and my ipod are exactly identical, except the beginning. still it is a very good song.

The great Celine does not lip synch! Never has! I've seen her live in concert here in Adelaide South AUSTRALIA and she is absolutely fabulous. Besides if you all check out the rest of this clip, her voice time 'lapses' even as she speaks to the crowd. Wake up people. She is a rare gift and we should be grateful that she is living and singing in our lifetime.

Well I don't know if I'd call it "studio magic"; that implies she's in the studio and they're fixing her tracks like they do for Britney Spears or Linsday Lohan type stuff. Celine isn't relying on "magic" to pull her songs off, but she is using previously recorded live tracks from other performances; it's still her voice, but with no major touch-ups or tricks to make it sound good. While I don't really like that she does this, I don't agree with calling it "studio magic".
