nice review, but i have a few questions that i hope you'll answer. first does it take pictures, or do i have to take video stills on my pc like that flip recorder? and is this better then a flip recorder? does it work like lets say a sony cybershot, where when i want to upload photos all i have to do is plug in my usb plug into my pc?

1st No Stabilizer! Picture constantly jumps and flickers (though in this funny review says otherwise, the stupidity ..., 2 very narrow lens, you must be at least 4m away to barely fit a small child in the picture, 3 LCD terrible, 4, bad battery, 5 Very bad focusing, 6 At low brightness image is quite grainy ... has much more but I hope you understand ...

AAAAuch, what a miss ... Camileo camera is incredibly bad camera, but it is incredibly cheap. But that is because there are optics that is built into every mobile phone a little better. To be detailed here are the things I found ...

I'm interested in buying this camcorder but I want to use it as a voice recorcer very often in conferences, interviews, lectures. Can someone give me a few comments on its sound quality when it is used just as a voice recorder? Toshiba website says it is as good a voice recorcer as any but I couldn't find any reviews on that specific matter to see if it's going to be good in what I need it.

Well when I am filming tech reviews and such I find that I have to be quite close to the camera for it not to pick up a load of background interference. So to be honest with you I dont think this would be too great as just a voice recorder.

hey what´s up guys,i just got the P10 and wanted to know how to directly record movies to my pc with it. the battery is full,i connected it with my pc via the usb cable that was in the box.but then the cam turns off if i connect it to my pc :O and i cant turn it on then.i can copy the recorded movies from my camera to my pc,but i dont have a SD card yet,so i wanna record my vids directly to my pc by connecting my cam to the pc.but as you can see it doesnt work! pls help me!

Im not sure you can do that, go to my computer and see if it is showing up as a camera there where you can do it, otherwise it probably won't work unless you find some software to do it.

@Macman2510 uuhm yep it shows up as a .. you know..sry im austrian(not australian,austrian.)and i cant figure out how to spell it. you know a....like an usb stick you know what i mean? and i already installed the camera driver and stuff on my pc but it still doesnt work.. i know how to do it(how to record vids directly to the pc) but it doesnt work that way. then i connected the HDMI cable from the cam to my pc and it still didnt work..im frustrated and i still dont have a SD card AAAARGH!!!

1. Can Camileo P10 record movie without open display/dor?

2. If not, is it posible to rotate diplay in taht way that when you close it ( the door ) display stay on the outer side?

Yeah I am still using it and it is still very good. I hooked it up to my HD TV recently with the HDMI and it looks amazing. The only thing I think toshiba could work on slightly is a better mic. as if you are further away the audio may not come out as good. But its substantial for the cheap price.

Thanks for the reply Sam. I am now looking towards possibly buying the Panasonic SDR-H90 which has a 80 gig hard drive as well as SDHC capability .The trouble with a lot of these cameras is the  poorish results in artificial light.This model has a light compensation setting. Jim

They both look like great camera's but I would say the Toshiba simply because it is a mire well known brand and maybe more established. This would help if you needed to deal with their support fir what ever reason.

Macman, i am interested in buying this cam, can you tell me something about picture quality, can it be used for picture taking, does it have auto focus. And that video you shot with your cam is wide, you said it is 1080p but everywhere sais it is 1440x1080 4:3. Is your video in 720p or in 1080p and does it have 1920x1080 resolution or just 1440x1080?
