Even then, Edge of Time at least looks and runs well + has very good voice acting and script + story. Everything that Web of Shadows needed + the variety and less repetivity that plagues all Spidey games nowadays.
Shattered Dimensions may be more linear and level based, but it was a good game. It was well made, polished and did the material justice unlike the last few Spider-Man games since Ultimate Spider-Man. Hell it even had the voice actors from the cartoons, all the different ones! It's the most faithful recreation of the character in gaming since 2005. Sure Beenox fucked up Edge of Time, but I have faith in their upcoming movie game...
I wouldn't say that this is a bad or terrible game, but its not a good game either. It has good swinging and decent combat with some neat overall ideas, but it's just a rushed mess of a game. The story is balls, the voice acting is horrid, the boss fights are repetitive, the city is bland and the game is glitchy as fuck on every system its on (aside from the portable and ps2 versions and maybe the Wii). When you finish the storyline (the really short storyline) you can't go back to the city. The credits roll, it brings you back to the main menu and you must reload a previous save if you want to continue playing.

This game is by FAR the best Spider-Man game ever to come out. It has free roam as an option, an amazing mini map, super fun stunts to pull of while swinging and just great grapichs for it's time. It has a pretty cool story, good other characters, and boss fights.
This game is actually really good sure its not Batman Arkham City quality and the combat does get a bit repetitive but the story is good and so are the characters in it. If your a Spidey fan then this is a must own.

I still think this is the best siderman game yet. The combat is great, the open world is great, and being able to put the symbiote suit on at the flick of a button is awesome. When symbiote suit is on, ur stronger, more aggressive attacks.. The story is a bit lame cause random heroes come along the way for no reason. (cont.) it also has excellent voice acting. you can also web up enemies. the 2 boss battles, atrocity and ceo, were epic and very memorable. the story was well done and very dark and twisted. in SD you can play as four spidermen and they each have different abilities. you can roam freely, web up enemies, break stuff, web zip kick, sneak around, free fall and do what ever you want, stop time, and think like a spiderman. you also get to feel like you`re spiderman.
(cont.) the free roam was excellent and me feel like i was spiderman, the walk on wall crawling was ok, and the ariel attacks were phenomenol. you`re all defending it because it has free roam. i will admit that EoT was not better than shattered dimensions. but i will give EoT a 6.9/10 and shattered dimension an 8.9/10 because in EoT you can beat up enemies, solve puzzles, and swing freely. it was very challenging. the camera was also fixed. i also felt like i was spiderman throughout the game.

I got a boring story, repetitive combat, combos are cool but when your enemies die with 4 punches you have no big reason to upgrade, boss-battles are limited to Webstrike or change to Symbiote and repeat special move.
Final boss: Webstike 12 times the giant Venom heads, and wait for the credits to roll. Not fun -_-

@MADguyfps i have. the combat is outstanding and the web swinging feels fresh and original. i`m inpressed of how realistic the sky looked. and looking at the buildings over and over and over again, it looks pretty realistic. but overall, the game is repetitive. the missions are just kill x number of enemies, the controls suck, the quicktime events are unresponsive, the graphics looked bland, the side characters were lame and annoying, the whole training with luke cage was pointless,

@YTPW149X it`s true. it is garbage. i mean yeah, the gameplay animation is good, the combat is well done but can get clunky at times, and the new things they`ve added were very good and original. but the whole game is just bland with repeating missions, bland story, useless and annoying characters, weak enemies, bugs everywhere, bland exploration and environment, unresponsive controls, uncontrollable, it`s just a fucking mess. SD was almost in the right direction but the dissapointment came

@YTPW149X (cont.) with the same environments, repetitive gameplay with just beat em ups, restrained freedom, short, repeating puzzles, and few things that weren`t explained and didn`t make any sense. but the whole game felt like a simulation to see how well beenox did with the combat system. but i will give them credit though. the story was dark, creepy, intense, epic, and interseting, the voice acting was top notch, the animation was smoother, the graphics were well done,

@YTPW149X (cont.) the 2 boss fights, atrocity and ceo, were memorable, fun, and well made, the character designs were really top notch, the dialogue was top notch, and there were easter eggs this time. beenox did really well with spidey and i hope to see how the amazing spiderman game will turn out. they`re making it like spiderman 2 and from the looks of it, better. the game is gonna be longer. the combat system has changed. the graphics are well done. they`re making a new mechanic

Vaughn did a nice performance, people's main trouble is with his voice, I never had that problem with him, but Kingpin voice actor should seriously stick to the role of Venom, he did better there

@carbaj that was just me trolling. after playing the game a third time i really don`t get why people love this game so much. it`s one of the most bland games out there. and since the new trailer for the amazing spiderman game came out in hd people were bashing on it. they loved it the first time so i just don`t know why. they said it`s the graphics but look at spiderman 3 and web of shadows. heck s3 got a 79% positive user score on metacritic even though alot of people hated that game.

I still think this is the best siderman game yet. The combat is great, the open world is great, and being able to put the symbiote suit on at the flick of a button is awesome. When symbiote suit is on, ur stronger, more aggressive attacks.. The story is a bit lame cause random heroes come along the way for no reason. I hope they make another one like this, but with cell shaded comic like graphics and based off the original comics or animated series from 90s

(cont.) the bosses were really fun to fight as well. you get to fight spiderman`s rogues galleries such as the vulture, electro, kraven and scorpion. the voice acting was also top notch. and EoT and SD`s graphics were beautiful. now that i`m done giving out my reasons as to why i love both love EoT and SD, it`s time to talk about future free roam spiderman games. after i played EoT it felt like it was rushed but with effort and hard work. why was it rushed? because of activision

(cont.) it also has excellent voice acting. you can also web up enemies. the 2 boss battles, atrocity and ceo, were epic and very memorable. the story was well done and very dark and twisted. in SD you can play as four spidermen and they each have different abilities. you can roam freely, web up enemies, break stuff, web zip kick, sneak around, free fall and do what ever you want, stop time, and think like a spiderman. you also get to feel like you`re spiderman.

(cont.) the free roam was excellent and me feel like i was spiderman, the walk on wall crawling was ok, and the ariel attacks were phenomenol. you`re all defending it because it has free roam. i will admit that EoT was not better than shattered dimensions. but i will give EoT a 6.9/10 and shattered dimension an 8.9/10 because in EoT you can beat up enemies, solve puzzles, and swing freely. it was very challenging. the camera was also fixed. i also felt like i was spiderman throughout the game.

@TheAaronXDGuy I love Spider-Man, but this game doesnt make justice to Spidey. 5.9 Score IMO. The only reason i bought it was the hype of a Spider-Man game with no movie plot but.... I got a boring story, repetitive combat, combos are cool but when your enemies die with 4 punches you have no big reason to upgrade, boss-battles are limited to Webstrike or change to Symbiote and repeat special move.
Final boss: Webstike 12 times the giant Venom heads, and wait for the credits to roll. Not fun -_-

These guys don't like this game just 'cause there isn't any blood, and it is the rivaling character in popularity to Batman. God of War's entire series got good reviews 'cause it was gorey. Batman Arkham Asylum got good review 'cause it's a Batman game which IGN favors. Yet they're both button mashers, like this Spider-Man game! Don't listen to these jerks.
