Yeah that's great but you need to provide reasons as to WHY these foods are toxic if non organic. Noones gunna spend the extra money on better quality food if they don't know why.

@lianap11 I agree, her argument lacks detail but put in the extra 15 minutes of research and find out why. She laid it out for you to play it out. Corny saying i know, but it gets the point across
There really isn't that much organic food in the faroe islands. And when there is it is mostly food that is on discount (?) and still costs more than non organic food. So I am a fast beliver in non organic fruit.
Funny, a study came out that shows that there is NO difference in conventional and organically grown products, it was actually funded by the EU, and shows how the Organic industry is deliberately misleading the public by saying that their food is healthier, even when they can use so-called "natural" chemicals for crop growth such as Sulfur and Copper compounds that in turn severely pollute soil and degrade water quality.
@CanadianBacon756 That study found the huge majority of studies suggest organic food IS healthier/more nutritious. They reviewed 162 nutrition studies and found several nutrient levels were higher for organic food. Then they eliminated over 100 studies and found little difference. For the health study, 7 of 11 studies suggested organic had higher levels of certain nutrients or were healthier, so they didn't do the meta-analysis. Authors of that study are "deliberately misleading the public"!
@myndy86 Yes, the fraudulent studies were eliminated, and they only used the accredited data. The result being that there is NO nutritional benefit to Certified Organic foods. If you want to help the environment buy from locally grown *sustainable* farms, not from the new breed of factory farms with USDA Organic certification. Organic pesticides can cause more damage than the synthetics.
@elvisml2 Did you look at why they were eliminatd? The huge majority of the more than 100 studies were eliminated because they couldn't verify which certification body was used, not because the studies were fraudulent. The huge majority of peer reviewed review studies before and after that review, suggest organic has nutritional/health benefts. This includes a review study by te French government's food safety agency AFFSA, which is the equivalent to the FSA who funded your study.

i went to to wholefoods and trader joes to buy organic apples and they were coated with a petroleum based bees wax. I'm not sure if that is safe can someone give me info on it.
@MrChrisham No idea and I hate that they do this in the U.S. After living in JPN where the apples are out of this world and they NEVER wax the skins which is what you want to eat it's just disheartening that this is done.
eating vegetables and fruits has nothing 2 do with god, it has EVERYTHING to do with health, feeling energetic, vibrant, cleaning your organs, look young, live a a long life with no regrets, being able to walk up the stairs without having to stop and catch your breath....ect, dont bring the bible into this cuz religion has nothing to do with being clinically healthy, and we all know that meat is so hard to digest, toxic, tough on ur organs, and has loads of harmful fat, not to mention cholesterol
All of you vegans or vegetarians or whatever you call yourselves are retarded God told us in the bible that all the animals of the earth were provided by him for us to eat. Now i advise you to buy a bow or a gun and go to the great state of south dakota and get some real food!
...I eat organic, local and vegan. But, that shit was.. ridiculous. Could have made it some heavy beat techno remix with swearing and maybe have some McDonald's employee's fight Whole Food's employee's. Use vegetables and fruits as grenades. But, the McDonald's people would use meat, fertilized animal waste and jars of peanut butter, fart with bee's that when lit, the jar lid will pop off and spread its disgust.
man, usa is so fucked up, that you actually need someone to explain the ppl why they should have organic food! and the government has this policy of making toxic food affordable! the shit must be mass-produced, then! shit! what do you eat, then? please, somebody tell me!
My dad growed up on a dairy farm, growing spuds for those who are dumb potatoes. There is nothing wrong eating them and are not toxic this shit is a load of crap and and tips that say drink fat free milk i have milk straight from the dairy and ive never been s healthy so stfu with all these vidoes saying fruits and vegetables are bad when they fucking are not!
@Alexrocks0001 lol... you mean your dad "grew" up lol... why are you calling other people dumb if you can't even spell? Now to the point, fruits and veg are not bad, you are right... its the shit they put on them that makes them bad. I grow vegetables & fruits and without pesticides, and artificial fertiizers, they get insects, grow wonky, different sizes and people in the supermarkets won't want to buy fruit and veg that don't look pretty. They are full of pesticides, thats why they are bad!
But also they will eat a lot more of it and in the end they will be fatter for as they will combine it with other foods. You can't change a fat person if there fat then there fat and even if they do get skinny they will just end up bingeing on food or worse bulimic and before you give me that whole it's not a choice it is they chose to be fat so let them be fat . And if you actually think your gonna report me or something let me tell you that you are dealing with a proud welsh teenager and if
@TheBowen2011: And by the way people CAN lose weight and keep it off by eating well and exercising. Eating veggies and fruits are good for you and you can make great dishes that are healthy for you.
Listen bitch buying organic fruit and vegetables is a was of time as not only does it have a pathetic shelf life it also does not help fat people as they will only spend a lot mor
Better yet is to ask for God's blessing before meals using the following prayer: "Bless us O Lord, and these Thy gifts which we are about to receive from Thy bounty." This will remove the curse (Kosher and Halal) put upon foodstuffs by false religions such as Judaism and Islamism.
@Gotmilk0112 I have to floccinaucinihilipilificate this statement! Peanuts never hurt me; if it wasn't safe to eat, it wouldn't be on the shelf. Get out of here with all this "peanuts kill people with allergies!!" crap.
@guywhosfly Actually, it's funny because in the comments for the youtube video, "Just Eat Organic!" Mommi2Angels said, "Yea and that shit is too expensive so Id rather poison my body with whatever may be on the non organic stuff than have to spend extra money buying that oranic shit."
@myndy86 - According the CDC, people eating 'organic' foods are 8 times more likely to be attacked by E-coli (0157:H7) which causes permanent kidney and liver damage. As well being more likely to contract a new strain of salmonella that didn't exist were it not for organic farmers using manure as fertilizer. The problem is compounded by organic farmers' resistance to use anti-microbial preservatives, chemical washes, chlorination, & pasteurization to rid their products of bacteria.
@CynicalGenius That is a false statement and the CDC has made a public statement in response to that claim "The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has not conducted any study that compares or quantitates the specific risk for infection with E. coli 0157:H7 and eating either conventionally grown or organic/natural foods." Dennis Avery from the Hudson Institute(funded by Monsanto) is well known for making false claims, get your information from reputable sources.
hum ok..so what? are we going to get sick eat'n non organic fruit and veg ? lol we cant do or eat anything now.people who are germ crazy are gonna starve! i thought i was doing good getting away from fast food, sugar etc..now this organic thing bothers me.its wayyyyy more expensive depending on where you live.i tried b4 and i cant afford to buy organic! guess us average people are screwed..lmfao and i make good money..but they suck me dry! bills gone up..non organic food is gone up! seriously
@juniorkitty11 What is the cost of your health? (Most) people have no problem going out and buying that big screen TV, going out for dinner twice a week, paying enormous cell phone bills, and so many useless things. But when it comes to their health..... "Awe, it's too expensive" Waaaaawwww. Iritates the shit out of me!
@guywhosfly oh waaa yourself you imature jerk! if you have'nt notcied , society has forced us to pay out the ass for homes a small car!! gas! to get your ass to work your shity job..your need a reality check dude..not everyone can spend hundreds of dollars on food lmao eating out is bad and very expensive..if you can afford to do this you can eat healthy..im a smart shopper..who has a budget! like most people...i eat healthy , fruit, veg, fish. etc but it would cost much more to buy organic!!!!!!
@juniorkitty11 I said MOST! I don't know anything about YOU so stop being so defensive. Society doesn't force anyone to do anything - especially to pay for homes and cars. You can rent, buy a foreclosed home for next to nothing, and take public transportation. These are all privileges... not rights!
This is all about holocostianity. If people weren't scared to question jews, their plans to copyright GODS SEEDS and dissolve americans republic would never have gotten this far.
@CynicalGenius "Cows mainly fed with hay generate less than 1 % of the E. coli found in the faeces of grain-fed animals.""It can be concluded that organic farming potentially reduces the risk of E. coli infection." fao.org/docrep/meeting/X4983e.htm#c2 "E. coli prevalence in certified organic produce was 4.3%, a level not statistically different from that in conventional samples. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15151224
@CynicalGenius "There have been many claims that eating organic foods increases exposure to micro-biological contaminants. Studies investigating these claims have found no evidence to support them. It is important to realize that all organic foods must meet the same quality and safety standards applied to conventional foods" fao.org/organicag/oa-faq/oa-faq4/en/
high sodum, from mineral water guide, slows cell detoxification down. is this true? also what are toxican absorber foods and what are foods that activate detox faster? my deit is manly cola, black coffee with organic cream. i dont get starch etc hardly as too much work on my body. sometimes eat a baked vegtable. I cant do anything. even soup too hard in pot. Im just concerned about too much body oxidation and degenerating my body later on.
Worrying about organic fruits and veggies when one ingests rotting flesh and bovine pus is really a silly game. First, eliminate all animals products from your diet asap, it is the number one thing you can do for your health, the health of your family, the care of the Earth, and the love of animals. Peace.
Even organic produce you still have to be cautious. Many organic farms run by corporations are using pesticides that are approved by the USDA. They call it natural "botanical spray" Just because they are natural chemicals and not synthetic does not necessarily make your organic produce safer to eat, as these sprays have been proven to just as hazardous to human health and the environment. Your best bet to buying legit produce is shopping at your local farmers market, and talk to the farmer
@francospaghetti 52% of organic farms use no pesticides at all, those that do generally use significantly less than conventional farms and more biological pest control than conventional. "organic produce carries significantly fewer pesticide residues than conventional produce." nal.usda.gov/afsic/pubs/faq/BuyOrganicFoodsC.shtml
"94–100% of organic food does not contain any pesticide residues" agronomy-journal"dot"org/index.php?option=com_article&access=doi&doi=10.1051/agro/2009019&Itemid=129
@francospaghetti "there is no objective evidence to support the assertion that natural pesticide residues pose a hazard.""botanical insecticides tend to break down rapidly in the environment, are comparatively non-toxic, and are used by a relatively small fraction of growers" "Consequently, these substances are not expected to leave residues in foods." consumersunion"dot"org/pub/core_food_safety/002312.html
I appreciate the list. Most foods really need to be bought organic because almost
anything packaged unless it has that O. stamp will probably be a genetically modified food product via Montsanto Corp. Most people do not know about this because our FDA will not properly label food in the US. Other 3rd world countries know that they are doomed if they accept their seeds into their food supply.
And will no longer have organic food, but pesticide filled fruits and vegetables.
**There is an extremely urgent matter at hand that we should all be concerned about. The USDA is about to make a decision on whether they will redefine the standards for all "organic" food and agriculture. They are going to be deciding on whether they will allow new ingredients to be considered "organic" even though they are synthetic and GMO. This meeting next week will determine the fate of organic food. Go to cornucopia(dot)org and sign the proxy they have. **
I'm lucky to be living in Turkey where fruit and veggies are so cheap you can buy them by kilos instead of numbers and this is the food heaven of the earth.
Just like in Greece, there are special places we call a ''pazar'' where you can find them and buy even cheaper. They're not GM.
@maddawgqeiwfje No that is not true citrus is very good for you, unless you are alergic, but in large quantitys anything is bad, just take just beber for example... wait sorry that is not a good example that is lethal in any dose.
The title is slightly misleading. It should be made clear that the fruits and veggies that you list in the video are ones that have a thin skin or membrane and thus if pesticides are used then it gets absorbed much easier than a thick skinned fruit or veg. like a pumpkin watermelon. Even if pesticides get spayed on a thick skinned fruit it doesn't get absorbed easily to the part that is eaten, like avocados. Which isn't to say organic is bad.
pero el precio de esta supuesta comida "organica"....es varias veces superior a la comida cultivada con pesticidas...creo que lavando bien las frutas y verduras deberian desaparecer todos los pesticidas que en ellas se encontrasen
I think the real difference that most are missing in these posts are the levels of toxicity in conventional foods. Even farm conventional farm produce. it might have the levels of nutrients, ok, let's agree on that....but the chemicals alone, and the possible genetic modifications, see future of food. You are doing yourself a huge favor by switching to organic food sources and even juicing. it' only makes sense.
Next person that posts a comment about justin beiber has to complete the ENTIRE routine of "LMFAO - Sexy and I know it" infront of their math teacher, AND post a video:)
@fuck192ass Let's just clear something up first before I post more studies. Do you now agree that organic and conventionally grown foods are NOT generally "COMPOSITIONALLY IDENTICAL" and that one of the main reasons for the differences in gene expressions, nitrates, etc., is because of the difference in using organic fertilizer compared to synthetic fertilizer? Do you now agree that phytonutrients are nutrients?
@fuck192ass You said "THAT'S THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES A CARROT ORGANIC: HOW IT'S GROWN, NOT THAT ITS MORE NUTRITIOUS. THEY'RE COMPOSITIONALLY IDENTICAL, ONE HAS A DIFFERENT KIND OF PESTICIDE RESIDUE." To begin with organic often has no pesticide residue, not just a different kind of residue. Next, they are not generally compositionally identical, there are differences in gene expression, differences in chemical composition and chemical levels, etc.
@fuck192ass "WHY DO YOU KEEP POINTING TO SYNTHETIC PESTICIDE RESIDUE?" because you said "AN APPLE THAT IS SPRAYED WITH A SYNTHETIC PESTICIDE CONTAINS NO FEWER NUTRIENTS AS A RESULT." I already explained that there are indeed generally fewer nutrients or nutrient levels in foods sprayed with synthetic pesticides. Although by your logic is really no such thing as a nutrient. You just won't accept the studies, even though you called them, "GENERAL FACTS THAT ARE MOSTLY TRUE MOST OF THE TIME".
@fuck192ass Vitamin C, vitamin E, etc. function as antioxidants, so I guess you don't consider them nutrients either? I'm starting to think you are just joking with me at this point.
@fuck192ass By that logic nothing is really a nutrient, because most nutrients can potentially contribute to nutrient deficiencies due to their interaction with other nutrients.
@fuck192ass Gene expression is also generally different between organic and conventional crops. "genes have surprisingly different expression levels in the grain endosperm when nitrogen is supplied either in an organic or an inorganic form.""specific gene expression is diagnostic for use of organic sources of nitrogen fertilizer and may therefore have useful applications in defining the differences between organically and conventionally grown wheat." ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1559878/
@fuck192ass About 52% of organic farms use no pesticides whatsoever, and those that do, generally use significantly less than conventional farms. Crops that are not sprayed or sprayed with lower amounts of pesticides, generally produce higher levels of beneficial phytonutrients. This is why the studies suggest, "Organic crops contain a significantly higher amount of certain antioxidants", "organic foods compared to conventionally produced foods seem to have a higher content of antioxidants".
@myndy86 The essence of the term "organic", as well as the state requirement to become certified organic(in Iowa), is the complete removal of chemicals from the production of food. No chemical pesticides can be used for three years prior to certification, as well as the certified period itself, and a 30 ft. perimeter which borders conventional fields must be sold as conventional, due to chemical drift. Diatomaceous earth (fossils ground into a fine powder) can be utilized however, as they are
@joejedlicka When I said, "About 52% of organic farms use no pesticides whatsoever, and those that do, generally use significantly less than conventional farms." I wasn't trying to imply that organic farmers use synthetic pesticides, I was saying that 52% of organic farmers do not even use organic approved pesticides like Bt spray, mineral oil, etc. Are you saying that Iowa doesn't allow Bt, mineral oils, etc. as pesticides and only allows Diatomaceous earth or am I just misinterpreting you?
@myndy86 non-toxic. They physically cut the insect, compared to conventional chemicals, which debilitate the central nervous system. "Natural" is a very loose term encompassing an array of production protocols, which may use a limited amount of pesticides. But, consumers that wish to minimize their exposure to pesticides will predominantly buy certified organic products over natural ones.
@fuck192ass "organic produce carries significantly fewer pesticide residues than conventional produce." nal.usda.gov/afsic/pubs/faq/BuyOrganicFoodsC.shtml
"Organically grown foods consistently had about one-third as many residues as conventionally grown foods""Conventionally grown and IPM/NDR samples were also far more likely to contain multiple pesticide residues than were organically grown samples." ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12028642
@fuck192ass Speaking in riddles is not a real argument. The studies I provided suggest organic food generally has less nitrates, this is because synthetic fertilizer is not used in organic farming. So, obviously the studies are suggesting that synthetic fertilizers generally change chemical composition or at least the level of the chemicals in the food. As for pesticides, "94–100% of organic food does not contain any pesticide residues", this is back by numerous studies.
@fuck192ass I provided studies that suggest various crops sprayed with synthetic pesticides and/or grown using synthetic fertilizers often do contain fewer nutrients and/or lower levels of some nutrients as a result when compared to organic, and your argument was, "THAT'S A REAL NICE PRESENTATION OF GENERAL FACTS THAT ARE MOSTLY TRUE MOST OF THE TIME BUT DOESN'T PROVE THAT SOME ORGANIC FOOD IS INDISTINGUISHABLE FROM "REGULAR" FOOD EXCEPT BY ITS LABEL AND PRICE". Which is a, "WEIRD ARGUMENT".
@fuck192ass I'm sure there are some rare circumstances where there is no differrence, due to contamination, deception, etc. However, in most cases the studies suggest you are getting the benefits mentioned in the studies from buying organic. If your argument is that most of the time you get some health and/or nutrition benefits from buying organic, but on a rare occasion you will get a food that is virtually the same as conventional(Non-GE) food, then I really can't argue against that.
@fuck192ass French government food safety agency AFSSA "1/organic plant products contain more dry matter and minerals(Fe, Mg);and contain more anti-oxidant micronutrients such as phenols and salicylic acid, 2/ organic animal products contain more polyunsaturated fatty acids""4/ 94–100% of organic food does not contain any pesticide residues, 5/ organic vegetables contain far less nitrates," agronomy-journal"dot"org/index.php?option=com_article&access=doi&doi=10.1051/agro/2009019&Itemid=129

Why the fuck are they worrying about "toxic" produce when they should worry about contaminated meat, toxic fish, refined processed garbage, soft drinks, etc.?
as they ( Monsanto ) spray chemtrails in the sky of aluminum , beryllium and strontium and make soil too acidic to grow anything , they will have the new GMO food that grows in high acidity soil , and we'll all be so thankful that they saved the world . Their sister company that's making drugs to treat cancer will also have an increase in their demand . What a wonderful world ..... full of scumbags

eating vegetables and fruits has nothing 2 do with god, it has EVERYTHING to do with health, feeling energetic, vibrant, cleaning your organs, look young, live a a long life with no regrets, being able to walk up the stairs without having to stop and catch your breath....ect, dont bring the bible into this cuz religion has nothing to do with being clinically healthy, and we all know that meat is so hard to digest, toxic, tough on ur organs, and has loads of harmful fat, not to mention cholesterol

Wake up America!

Do you now agree that phytonutrients are nutrients?
myndy86 2 months ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@fuck192ass You said "THAT'S THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES A CARROT ORGANIC: HOW IT'S GROWN, NOT THAT ITS MORE NUTRITIOUS. THEY'RE COMPOSITIONALLY IDENTICAL, ONE HAS A DIFFERENT KIND OF PESTICIDE RESIDUE." To begin with organic often has no pesticide residue, not just a different kind of residue. Next, they are not generally compositionally identical, there are differences in gene expression, differences in chemical composition and chemical levels, etc.
myndy86 2 months ago
@fuck192ass "WHY DO YOU KEEP POINTING TO SYNTHETIC PESTICIDE RESIDUE?" because you said "AN APPLE THAT IS SPRAYED WITH A SYNTHETIC PESTICIDE CONTAINS NO FEWER NUTRIENTS AS A RESULT." I already explained that there are indeed generally fewer nutrients or nutrient levels in foods sprayed with synthetic pesticides. Although by your logic is really no such thing as a nutrient. You just won't accept the studies, even though you called them, "GENERAL FACTS THAT ARE MOSTLY TRUE MOST OF THE TIME".
myndy86 2 months ago
@fuck192ass Vitamin C, vitamin E, etc. function as antioxidants, so I guess you don't consider them nutrients either? I'm starting to think you are just joking with me at this point.
myndy86 2 months ago
@fuck192ass By that logic nothing is really a nutrient, because most nutrients can potentially contribute to nutrient deficiencies due to their interaction with other nutrients.
myndy86 2 months ago

inuyasha142474 2 months ago
@fuck192ass Gene expression is also generally different between organic and conventional crops. "genes have surprisingly different expression levels in the grain endosperm when nitrogen is supplied either in an organic or an inorganic form.""specific gene expression is diagnostic for use of organic sources of nitrogen fertilizer and may therefore have useful applications in defining the differences between organically and conventionally grown wheat." ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1559878/
myndy86 2 months ago
@fuck192ass About 52% of organic farms use no pesticides whatsoever, and those that do, generally use significantly less than conventional farms. Crops that are not sprayed or sprayed with lower amounts of pesticides, generally produce higher levels of beneficial phytonutrients. This is why the studies suggest, "Organic crops contain a significantly higher amount of certain antioxidants", "organic foods compared to conventionally produced foods seem to have a higher content of antioxidants".
myndy86 2 months ago
@myndy86 The essence of the term "organic", as well as the state requirement to become certified organic(in Iowa), is the complete removal of chemicals from the production of food. No chemical pesticides can be used for three years prior to certification, as well as the certified period itself, and a 30 ft. perimeter which borders conventional fields must be sold as conventional, due to chemical drift. Diatomaceous earth (fossils ground into a fine powder) can be utilized however, as they are
joejedlicka 2 months ago

But, consumers that wish to minimize their exposure to pesticides will predominantly buy certified organic products over natural ones.
joejedlicka 2 months ago
@fuck192ass "organic produce carries significantly fewer pesticide residues than conventional produce." nal.usda.gov/afsic/pubs/faq/BuyOrganicFoodsC.shtml
"Organically grown foods consistently had about one-third as many residues as conventionally grown foods""Conventionally grown and IPM/NDR samples were also far more likely to contain multiple pesticide residues than were organically grown samples." ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12028642
etc., etc., etc.
myndy86 2 months ago
@fuck192ass Speaking in riddles is not a real argument. The studies I provided suggest organic food generally has less nitrates, this is because synthetic fertilizer is not used in organic farming. So, obviously the studies are suggesting that synthetic fertilizers generally change chemical composition or at least the level of the chemicals in the food. As for pesticides, "94–100% of organic food does not contain any pesticide residues", this is back by numerous studies.
myndy86 2 months ago
Which is a, "WEIRD ARGUMENT".
myndy86 2 months ago
@fuck192ass I'm sure there are some rare circumstances where there is no differrence, due to contamination, deception, etc. However, in most cases the studies suggest you are getting the benefits mentioned in the studies from buying organic. If your argument is that most of the time you get some health and/or nutrition benefits from buying organic, but on a rare occasion you will get a food that is virtually the same as conventional(Non-GE) food, then I really can't argue against that.
