If they fill the bottles at their "nearby juicing facility" at the orchards how come the juice is from concentrate!? So they boil the fresh juice down to a concentrate (removing water) and then mixing the concentrate again with water before bottleing it!? Why don't they sell theiy juice "not from concentrate"? I believe that is much better nutrition-wise!

Too bad the FTC filed a complaint against POM for deceptive advertising.
When comparing the nutrition facts from a raw pomegranate to POM pomegranate juice I found that POM stripped all the vitamin C, Iron, Vitamin E and calcium from its raw counterpart. The only thing left is sugar! Just look at the nutrition facts on the back.
POM is selling sugar water to the masses for a ridiculous profit.
Pomegranate juice kills intestinal parasites and it has many heart healthy benefits, like lower blood pressure and increases good cholesterol while removing the bad.
If they were to tone down the tartness this stuff would sell better than grape juice. I know I've tried it. I'd love to be their taste tester and put them on the right road as it is I don't see much hope for pomegranate juice becoming as popular as grape juice. It's actually a fairly mediocre product even chilled.
@oflamemakero Yes, it's expensive and way too tart. I have found that removing the pulp as completely as possible from the home made stuff gives it a light tartness without overwhelming the fruit explosion that is the essence of the product. If Pom wonderful were to market that product then they wouldn't be having such a problem with their sales. As it is in this economy pomegranate sales are really dependant on their juice blends, which don't taste so good really. Could be a better product.
