But they were SO far out of the So Cal head space that they really did have to go to the UK and Europe to be appreciated. In fact, it wasn't until their 'new wave' phase that many Californians even knew they existed. But I went to 3 or 4 shows during the 70s by them and there were fans, for sure.

Ron's a one off. His brother has those piercing haunting vocals. Remember showing my younger sister this song on a combilation tape when she was 7. She studied art and music. Now 26 her hair changes colour every other month. Works in HMV and is now going through all the sparks albums again, and shifting them to a new generation in the shop on her approval. Sparks, Classic act almost before their time. I used to have a Rhodes 73 electric piano, which this track reminded me of. Jay.
