Yea ive got a question. When i went to the hobby store looking for some potassium nitrate, i asked a guy who works there if they had any and he looked at me like i was a fricken terrorist. He said i needed a liscense for that stuff. Im 14.

I will try to make this clear here; IT IS NOT ILLEGAL TO PURCHASE THESE CHEMICALS. Unfortunately, most movies make the people who own these chemicals out to be terrorists, and this is what many people believe.You are not doing anything wrong, I mean hell I started doing this stuff when I was 11, and all that I have gotten is a deep appreciation for the art of making fireworks. Try going to an online store like northstar pyrotechnics. They sell cheap high quality fireworks chemicals. Good luck!

you can get potassium nitrate at lowes as stump remover make sure its a powder it will be call spectricide stump remover and you can use sugar instead of sulfur but it won't be as fast, 14 grams kno3/stump remover 4 grams charcoal 4 grams sugar grind it all up

Umm. No don't pee in your gun powder. Your problem probably lies in the container you are using. Use a closed container like a film canister. Make sure your proportions ate correct and try using an electronic ignition system; it really makes a difference.

May I just ask...Is adding some sort of URINE makes the explosion stronger? My gunpowder did not explode when I placed it inside a paper and burnt it.

the whole urine myth is when gunpowder was 1st invented, bishops in england uses piss instead of potasium nitrate, as you could imagine it was pretty hard to get back then, it doesnt work as well as potasium

Maybe you could try building a new rocket I designed. It's small, and it's actually more of a missile. It's "effectiveness" depends on what you load into it. I don't think glados will be coming back any time soon...

You should use an electronic ignitor to get the boom you're looking for. You can use some fuse with a small hole in it, but it won't be nearly as loud as it would be if you were using an electronic ignition system.

stick it in your but and make usre you are laying down then put a string up there and set the string on fire with a lighter and wait for 20 mins.
