@BananaRepublicCY Duff sang and played the guitars on this song.A couple songs on the illusions albums, were sung by Izzy Stradlin also.Talk about talent !
So, Axl Rose always did the show in GNR, no doubt he is the central fella. But I always paid attention to the image of Slash and his attitude; he seems to be a big player, as well. As for the others, I simply don't know anything about them.
I remember as a kid I read the booklet a thousand times, and always wondered who Johnny Thunders was - also from the 'So fine' on UYI2. So many years later, after re-discovering GnR - I finally know who Thunders was, and all the more this song stands out as one of GnR's best! I love it when good artists bring odes to good artists. And such a great production on this one... RIP Johnny Thunders.
@iadoreyoumichaeljack Yes of course ... but this song is very good ... Axl is a genius that's clear ....and Gn'R were nothing without Slash,Duff, Matt, Izzy, Steven, Gilby......GNR is not what it once was ... that's just my opinion :)
@iadoreyoumichaeljack Axl woule be littile thing without Izzy and Slash. I mean GnR was successful as a BAND. Look at Chinese Democracy, i feel like there was only Axl sing. I felt the song but i could not feel the music.
love this cover. I saw some footage of duff playing it recently and he makes sure people know its johnny thunders song not a guns song like so many people thought.
As the inside notes on the guns sphagetti incident said.....a good song can be found anywhere, do yourself a favour buy the original ! haha brilliant.
This started quite well, I thought they were actually going to do a good job, and then they ruined it by making it a stupid pop-rock ballad. That was NEVER what this song was.
Well done for ruining another great song bums 'n' posers
@LtSykes Maybe so, but I am a dumbass who is right, no matter what you say. If you dont agree its because you dont even know who Johnny Thunders was, or how awesome his version of this amazing song is.
@w0bbl3r I do know who Johnny Thunders was and I obviously know more about how Duff of Guns N' Roses loved him and did this song because he wanted to pay tribute to his favorite musician. The song "So Fine" from Use Your Illusion II was also written as a memorial to Thunders. A band doing a cover song isn't a bunch of posers, and many of Guns versions of other songs are easily arguably better than their original versions. Knockin on Heavens Door, Mama Kin, Whole Lotta Rosie, etc. You dumbbbb
None of those songs you listed are better than their original version. The day that bums 'n' posers can play and sing a song better than dylan, aerosmith, ac/dc or johnny thunders will be the day that music is truly dead.
I'm sorry, but they only did ONE good album, and that was appetite. It WAS a great album, but everything since then has been shit. The only good music to come from any of the members since then has been slash's snakepit. Full stop
@w0bbl3r Slash's Snakepit sucks. And yeah me and most other people I know (who happen to be not 18 and younger thank you) do prefer Guns versions of Knockin and Live and Let Die. Appettie still IS a great album. Use Your Illusion II is their best (Estranged, Civil War, and Locomotive beat the shit out of anything on Appetite musically. More depth and complexity. And btw Guns N Roses is in fact better than AC/DC. I love AC/DC and they're my favorite band but cmon I'm not stupid.
@w0bbl3r FYI. Axl's vocal range far outclasses that of Steven Tyler, Thunders, Bon Scott, Brian Johnson, and Bob Dylan. And Welcome to the Jungle alone has 11 different riffs and chord progressions and about 4 or 5 key changes depending on whether or not you consider the switch from D major to G Mixolydian a change and none of the artists we previously mentioned have the chops to write music as complicated and intricate like that.
@Bastimentos06 I do agree with you, and you actually sound like a reasonable human being unlike this troll here lol. :) I never said a song needs to be complex to be great. "Used to Love Her" is so much fun and it's only three chords. I think that proves to the testament of the bands creativity and musicianship that they can chillax with that stuff and still write masterpieces like "Estranged". To everyone, if you haven't heard that song get off of this cover and go listen to that!
@LtSykes Axl has no vocal range. Talking and screaming, thats it.
And if being able to write complicated music made for great artists, then rock and roll wouldnt exist, because it began with simple, catchy, EXCELLENT licks.
The best rock 'n' roll in the world is the most simple and catchy.
Plus, most of the actual music of it was written by the only cool members of the group, who are no longer in the band and havent been for years.
@w0bbl3r Ya lost all credibility with that statement troll. Clearly you don't know what you're talking about. "Estranged" which is undeniably the top three favorite for any true GnR fans was soley written by Rose. He has a four octave vocal range which is actually insane and most great rock artists do play a mix of both simple/catchy and deep and complex tunes. That's what makes them great. Welcome to the Jungle was voted the best hard rock song by VH1 and it's complex and catchy.
@LtSykes I just have to say this...Even though they WERE undeniably a great band back in the days, they're now shit. Nothing more, nothing less.
A great vocal range does not make a great singer. And while I do agree that he might be good at the kind of singing he does, I just don't like it.
Also, if you rely on others to vote out the best songs for you - or if you use these lists as a criteria for whether or not something is good, you're retarded.
@Merioc2k3 Have you even listened to Chinese Democracy? It's actualy a very good record. While I agree that GnR's original lineup is by far superior to what everyone is doing now, they are not shit now and still are great. And that's fine that you don't like his voice, but I ask you this: you do realize he has multiple "voices" that he uses to sing different songs right? I find no reason for you not to like his lower register which is generally a normal voice.
@LtSykes Well, I must confess that I never really gave it a real listen. I just put on some song, skipped about 30 seconds or 1 minute in cause I thought it sucked, and it went on like that.
I'll stick to my opinion that they are shit, and that they haven't been great since the 80's.
I said I don't like his singing. Not that I don't like his voice. I never really cared for that kind of singing.
@Merioc2k3 Also Axl isn't just remembered for having an amazing vocal range hes remembered for his fantastic ear for melody that he used that range with and his fantastic on stage charisma. I would place him up there with Mercury and Plant as far as rock singers go. I agree range isn't everything, and most people are blinded by smoothness of Mercury's voice and his range and just automatically drop him at number one. I'm sure if someone had Mercury's voice they'd do the same.
@LtSykes But you know what he's most known for? Being the biggest asshole on the planet, a self-obsessed jerk that can't work with anyone for a longer period, and an overall douchebag. I just don't like him. I don't care if he can sing, he can't write good songs.
Now, don't get me wrong, his songs are good if you like that mindnumbing pop...But when I say good songwriters, I mean the likes of Bob Dylan and such.
@Merioc2k3 He can't write good songs? You're just an idiot. And I don't care if I go to hell for saying this, I've seen Bob Dylan live 5 times and he sucked everytime. And songs like Better, Estranged, Coma, and This I Love are not "mind numbing pop" what the hell is wrong with you? Have you never heard them or are you deaf?
@LtSykes I've heard them, of course. I don't care about your opinion on Bob Dylan, but the fact is that he's ten times the songwriter at his worst that Axl is at his best.
I love how you got offensive all of a sudden. You should get off that self-obsessed jerks dick. Nobody likes him anymore, anyway.
@Merioc2k3 Lol yeah it's not my opinion that Dylan was terrible. Everyone who went to the most recent concert of his I saw talked about how bad it was. He can't sing anymore, and he didn't even play any of his instruments. It was unbearable to sit through and the crowd didn't even want an encore he was THAT BAD. And you may find this surprising, but there are a lot of people who like Axl Rose more than Bob Dylan.
@LtSykes However, this is not about LIVE PERFORMANCES, BUT ABOUT SONGWRITING ABILITIES. Using completely irrelevant things to try to win your argument is retarded.
Also, the fact that Axl Rose is more appealing to the public proves NOTHING when it comes to songwriting abilities.
Oh, and even if it did, Bob Dylan was at least as popular during the 60's as Axl was at his peak. Bob Dylan was declared the spokesman for his generation. Axl Rose was declared the biggest asshole of his. Haha.
@Merioc2k3 Live performances is what makes Rock n Roll. Live music is what keeps music as music. And yeah I'm sorry those three chords over and over again in every song really are just so amazing I forgot. And declared by who? What does that even mean? Huh? The Beatles were around when Dylan was and no offense, they are way more important to music than he is and also far better songwriters.
@LtSykes I'll take on your statement regarding Bob Dylan and the Beatles first.
While I agree that they were more important, they were important in a different way. Also, this is completely irrelevant. They too are good songwriters, though they write different kinds of songs. Bob Dylan has a more complex way of writing his songs. Also, he was declared the spokesman for his generation by his generation.
Regarding your comment about GNR and Mötley, who gives a shit? You're getting caught up on the
@Merioc2k3 Look you are entitiled to your opinion about not liking his singing that is fine. But don't go saying the man can't write music because he can whether you like it or not. Also I suggest before you make your opinion how about you actually learn more about it so you can definitely say for sure without any igonorance why you don't like them. Not good since the 80's? I remember the Use Your Illusion albums were HUGE in the early 90's and I prefer them to AFD.
@LtSykes Well, he really can't write good songs. When compared to the likes of Bob Dylan, he might as well be screaming "Feces" over and over again into the microphone.
He writes pop songs. That takes very little talent. As I said, he might be a good singer, but a songwriter..? Haha, dear god no.
That whole hair metal crap has never really been my thing. I gave their "masterpiece" (Appetite) a listen, and I didn't quite like it. I've also heard all the "big" songs from Illusion. Don't like them.
@Merioc2k3 you're either a troll or an imbecile if you just called them hair metal. You do realize they are the band most famous for being very anti-hair metal in attitude and sound right?
@LtSykes Whatever. Most of the 80's metal bands sound the same. GNR tried to be Mötley Crüe (which was hair metal), Mötley Crüe tried to be New York Dolls...
Anyway, it's funny that you got hung up on THAT. You didn't counter my arguments...Are you starting to realize that Axl Rose pretty much has no talent at all when it comes to songwriting?
@Merioc2k3 Yeah you just spit out so much ignorant crap it's just hard to focus on all of it at one time. And no I don't realize things in music. I listen to it, hear what it has to say, and appreciate. Stop trolling. It's people like you who let society get away with all the ills that plague as a race.
@LtSykes I'm not ignorant. I gather facts, then I form an opinion based upon those facts. My opinion can't be changed by facts that I have already taken into consideration. That's not ignorance, that's called thinking; something you're clearly unfamiliar with.
@LtSykes wrong things. The relevant thing here is, why on earth would you consider Axl Rose a good songwriter? Tell me ONE thing that could possibly seperate him from the likes of Justin Bieber and Rebecca Black. Since you seem to use popularity as some form of criteria...They're both WAY bigger than Axl Rose. Does that make them better?
No, exactly.
Also, GNR were heavily influenced by Mötley. Just sayin'.
@Merioc2k3 Seriously fuck you. Just go die in a hole. Lets see Axl is a multi-instrumentalist who writes great lyrics and's music incorporates elements form various styles and is far more complex on a theoretical level than any artist you have yet to bring up. I haven't used popularity as criteria. you keep saying I am even though I haven't once done that. Also GnR has stated that they were not influenced by Crue and in fact they hated each other but you wouldn't know that because youre ignorant
@LtSykes Haha, ignorance makes you think that GNR were influenced by Mötley. That's a funny, new definition of that word. Axl Rose is a semi-talented twat who kind of plays piano and, even though he sings great, manages to fuck that up by being the largest asshole on the planet, aswell as writing the most horrible lyrics ever. I've said that you used popularity as a criteria once. And I said that because you brought up that welcome to the jungle was voted the best song by VH1.
@LtSykes Oh, and I don't care how wide your music taste is. I too listen to a wide variety of music; From Niccolo Paganíni to Bad Religion and Megadeth. This is however completely irrelevant, and the fact that you keep dragging completely irrelevant things into this discussion is what has lead me to believe that you're an idiot incapable of any forms of intelligent discussion.
@Merioc2k3 I don't know who Niccolo Paganini is. I love Megadeth, and Bad Religion but they are essentially two different styles of rock. I listed Acid Jazz, Electro House, Hard Rock, Rock, Experimental Post Rock, and Rap artists. Do you listen to anything other than rock based music or are you just a troll?
@LtSykes You talked about how many different types of music you like. I pointed out that, even though it's irrelevant, I listen to lots of different types of music, too.
Yes, I do listen to stuff that is not rock based. However, I'm quite picky when it comes to music, and I don't like certain styles in general. Such styles would include most country, most jazz, all reggae, hip hop and rnb, and rap...
Oh, and Niccolo Paganíni was a classical violin virtuoso. Not rock based.
@Merioc2k3 ignorance is defined as "Lack of knowledge or information." You saying GnR was influenced by Motely Crue is in fact an ignorant statement because they weren't so yeah. Sorry you don't know proper English. And horrible lyrics eh? I didn't know you considered lyrics about divorce and miscarraiges to be horrible. You must be a bad person. The songs Better, Madagascar, This I love, Locomotive, Coma, Estranged, Civil War, Sorry, November Rain, and Don't Cry have amazing lyrics so fuck you
@LtSykes You're retarded. There's a difference between ignorance and splitting hairs. You're splitting hairs, I'm not ignorant. Maybe they weren't that influenced by Mötley Crüe, but they did have the same influences. I find their music to be Mötley Crüe without the theatrics, and maybe a less talented guitarist and drummer.
I didn't know you enjoyed hearing about miscarriages all day, you must be one fucked up individual.
@LtSykes and you also keep saying popularity is a bad thing when in reality sometimes you're the biggest band in the world for a reason. In GnR's case they were the biggest band in the world by far from 87-93, and it was because whether you like it or not, they wrote great music, but not only that they did it at a time where people were more likely to find interest in their style of music. I also can read and write music in sheet music form so I can literally see why GnR is better
@LtSykes I've never claimed that popularity is bad. Hell, some of my favourite artists, like Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones and the Beatles were the most popular bands/artists of their era!
Also, "better" is not something definite. There is no definite "better", it's all about opinions. While I agree that GNR had better bass, guitar and drums, the lyrics kill it. Also, how does disliking the horseshit that leaks out Axl's mouth make me a horrible person? Seriously..
@Merioc2k3 Regarding your comment that Bob Dylan has a more complex way of writing his songs, no he doesn't. There isn't a single Bob Dylan song that comes close to the musical complexity of Estranged, and that's not even GnR's most complex song. Seriously I know a LOT about music theory. Dylan has nothing on Rose in that category. That isn't something that is subjective.
@LtSykes When I said that he writes more complex songs, I didn't mean it like the way you make it to be; The way I see it, Dylan is more of a poet, while Axl Rose can be compared to Justin Bieber in terms of songwriting. I can't make myself much clearer than that. Rose is not a poet. He writes pop songs.
@Merioc2k3 You're the only person in the world who truly thinks Rose had bad lyrics. Really you must not have listened to them at all. If anything, Rose's strongest aspect as a musician would probably be his lyrics. They can be fun and silly at one point and then deep and profound at another. The rhyme scheme in their song, "Better" is more complex than any other song I've ever heard. Sure there may be some out there that are just as unique/complex, but I haven't heard them.
@LtSykes "You're the only person in the world who truly..."
Nice way of generalizing 6 billion people, dumbass.
No, he SUCKS at writing lyrics. He writes pop songs, no matter what you say. He's nowhere near as good as Dylan, Greg Graffin and other people who write stuff that actually require talent. Grow the fuck up, fanboy.
@Merioc2k3 Hahah I'm not a fanboy, but the way you downplay Axl's lyrical ability is amazing to me. Like wow you're so ignorant about it. I love Dylan's lyrics but I love how you say I bring up irrelevant things when you do it yourself. You're a hipocrite.
@LtSykes Maybe a comparison with Justin Bieber was inaccurate, but he's still a mediocre songwriter, at best. If you can't see that he's NOTHING compared to Greg Graffin or Bob Dylan, you're obviously blinded by your fanboyism.
@Merioc2k3 Lol first of all my favorite musician is not Axl Rose it's John Lennon, and I'm a girl. I'm a music industry major in college and honestly it seems to me that you're the one who is blinded by their fanboyism of Dylan. I can easily compare Rose to Dylan as far as lyrics go because they're both great. Yet you say "Rose just writes pop songs" like it's true and or some kind of insult. Mad World is a pop song, and that has better lyrics than most of Dylan and Rose's stuff.
@LtSykes Your gender is unimportant. However, I too am a big fan of Lennon. And I'm not a "fanboy" of Dylan, I just appreciate him as a musician and a songwriter. He is far from my favourite artist.
No, you CAN'T compare Rose to Dylan. Seriously. It's just plain retarded. He can sing, but he can't write lyrics that good. I mean, Bob Dylan is capable of writing 7 minute long songs that make a point and don't repeat themselves...
Pop songs are generally easier to write. That's why I bring it up.
@Merioc2k3 GnR's song coma is 10 minutes long, doesn't repeat once, and has a very profound message, and it's hardly a pop song. Your argument is invalid.
@Merioc2k3 Lol you need to listen to the song. When he screams God Damn it... there isn't anything quote like it. Everyone I know (even people who hate Axl) love that part. And yeah they are great. No one cares what you think about em.
@Merioc2k3 Yeah I never said it was the best part of the song, it's just very cool.
"I'm climbing through the wreckage of all my twisted dreams
But this cheap investigation still can't stifle all my screams"
You don't think those are good? Really? Wow. You're missing out. I could use even better examples from the song, but what's the point since you just hate without actually attempting to understand.
@LtSykes The lyrics sucked, but at least they rhymed. I'm saying that that alone does not make it good. It seems to me that he's not actually trying to write a song, he's just putting together words that rhyme sometimes.
@Merioc2k3 You either didn't read them correctly or you just are unwilling to accept the fact that he's a good lyricist. If you knew any of the background to why Axl wrote it you'd know it has a really profound message and at the time Axl considered it one of the best things he'd written up to that point. Seriously to say that "it seems to me that he's not actually trying to write a song" about a song I know the artist put his soul into speaks volumes about u. I get it you wont give it a chance
@LtSykes Or maybe YOU'RE unwilling to accept that he's NOT a good lyricist? Whether or not he put his soul into it is quite irrelevant. It's still horseshit. You say you listen mainly to the lyrics, yet you seem to prefer Axl Rose over Bob Dylan. That's just retarded.
@Merioc2k3 Lol you say me prefering Axl to Dylan as if it's some kind of horrible thing. I don't dislike Dylan. I just personally find Rose to be a more interesting individual and musician. It's a shame that you can't listen to the lyrics to a song such as "This I Love" and enjoy it. I never said one was better than the other. Just noting your analysis of Rose is pretty much completely absurd at this point, so I give up. It's a shame you can't enjoy both like I can. It's really satisfying.
@LtSykes Of course I can enjoy songs like that, I just don't think that they're greater - lyrically speaking - than Bob Dylan or Bad Religion. I LOVE pop music, but I must confess that it has crappy lyrics most of the time.
(With pop, I don't mean the Rebecca Black/Justin Bieber/Lady Gaga kind)
My analysis is not absurd, I just see him as a crappy songwriter compared to Bob Dylan.
@Merioc2k3 Axl Rose is probably the most underrated song writter of all time... Yes Bob Dylan is good, so as Jonh Bon Jovi,John Lenon is God and Axl is another one... have you ever saw the lyrics for Civil War (which must be the best song ever written), November Rain, Estranged, Sweet Child, the end of Coma... his lyrics are way much better than Bob Dylan's and that's not being retarded, that's being wise!
Axl Rose lyrics are beyond amazing, and they're not irrevelant at all!
@90192100 That IS being retarded. Axl Rose isn't better than Bob Dylan. Also, fun fact: Bon Jovi's most famous song was not written by them. They hired a songwriter to write "Livin' on a prayer".
Also, the songs you listed have really fucking retarded lyrics. I mean, "Sweet Child"? Are you fucking serious? That's comparible to Justin Bieber's "Baby"...
@90192100 I totally agree. Everybody talks about Axl's voice, moves (which are of course incredible) or tough character;) but they seem to forget about the lyrics he's written. They're absolutely AMAZING and inspiring ! ! !
@Merioc2k3 I will say this. Clearly you have only really listened to AFD, which yes the lyrics on that album are a tad bit more juvenile than their other albums; however, that doesn't make them not great. AFD is an accurate and gritty depiction of the lifestyle the band had during their early years. The UYI albums developed their lyrical content further, and if there is one thing that is perfect on CD it's the lyrics. There are songs on CD I don't like, but the lyrics and vocals are phenomenal.
@LtSykes I haven't listened to one album in particular. I've just listened to them every now and then. Pretty much every song struck me as dull and uninteresting, generally cause I tend to listen to the lyrics rather than the guitar play or w/e when it comes to that kind of music. Sorry, it's just not good.
Whether he's a good singer or not really has nothing to do with his songwriting either..
@Merioc2k3 Look lyrics come first for me with everything I listen to. You're wrong. Axl is a great lyricist whether you like him or not. End of story.
@Merioc2k3 Yeah cause "No I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more" totally shits bricks on any of the lyrics I posted allready. You have a horrible understanding and emotional connection with lyrics.
@LtSykes First of all, that song DOES have meaning. If you'd actually read what it's about, maybe you'd understand.
Also, in case you plan on bringing up more Bob Dylan songs, I'd appreciate it if you'd exclude those that are bad on purpose, such as pretty much everything from his Self Portrait album.
@LtSykes And no offense but I can tell from this conversation that I have a far more expanded taste in music than you do. I can listen to Jamiroquai, Del the Funkee Homosapien, Guns N' Roses, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, deadmau5, Death from Above 1979, and the Beatles all in one sitting. All of which I prefer vastly to Bob Dylan.
@w0bbl3r haha, search "axls' incredible vocal range" on youtube ya dumbass. Jesus, some people are just fucking stupid. I'm sorry to offend you but saying axl doesn't have any vocal range is fucking stupid. Have you ever heard a GNR song besides "Welcome to tha Jungle?'. Go pick up illusions or even democracy and listen to no vocal range, god dammit.
@chrisis138 Sure, youre right, he should be doing opera, not pop-rock shite that he usually does.
He sings ok for what he does, but he is nothing special, seriously.
And he is a total prick, sold out at the first opportunity, and keeps a band going that has no original members because all the people with any sense wanted to stay away from him because he is a tosspot of the highest order.
@LtSykes Since they are all shit I haven't listened to them enough to learn the lyrics, and wouldn't want to sing them anyway. But I am a fairly decent singer, and have been doing it for years now.
i stll like g&r but this album is shit wtf happend to gun's and roses?? album you can tell they sold out and stared to sound !!! like shit !!! not the same g&r i know !!!
It's alright but I must admit I prefer the original to that sound - it just sounds like he's being lazy after an affected manner rather than something all too real and the guitars a bit too ... sloppy joe as well?
After reading all shit that you can read at comments, well I do strongly belive that people who "hates or dislike and write it down" it's beacuse they really hate them but maybe cuz the new boyfriend of their exgirlfriend or coworker likes it or something like that I HATE BRITNEY AND SHE IS A POSER and I've never write it down on U-TUV!!, did you know that Sid Vicious REALLY NEVER PLAY (instead of Slash) and well, I do like Sid! WHAT'S WRONG WITH U PEOPLE??!! Fuck that coments.
Duff the only MAN in GnR... nothing wrong with the rest of the boys... oh.. well one wrong is it... the fluff head poser slash... but the rest of them is Dead cool to me.
well in my opinion Slash can't play guitar... or well he can play better then Yngwie J. Malmsteen... any how... I only see him has a poser and I always will... but it's nothing wrong in that ? or is it? you probably hate or dislike some one in an other band that some one love or like... and the thing is the whole thing was meant has a harsh joke... why do any one tattoo in their old logo in the back, if he/she don't Love them ?
ha ha... well I love all of the boys, it's only that Duff is the one how took all of the shit that every one did ... but like you said It's Rock n Roll ... CHEERS !

love this cover. I saw some footage of duff playing it recently and he makes sure people know its johnny thunders song not a guns song like so many people thought.
As the inside notes on the guns sphagetti incident said.....a good song can be found anywhere, do yourself a favour buy the original ! haha brilliant.

R.I.P Johny... Guns N Roses you should get come back... Slash, Duff, Axl, Izzy, Steven...Hope that´s real idea
LukasMcrusnacik 8 months ago
This started quite well, I thought they were actually going to do a good job, and then they ruined it by making it a stupid pop-rock ballad. That was NEVER what this song was.
Well done for ruining another great song bums 'n' posers
w0bbl3r 8 months ago
@w0bbl3r You're a dumbass.
LtSykes 8 months ago
@LtSykes Maybe so, but I am a dumbass who is right, no matter what you say. If you dont agree its because you dont even know who Johnny Thunders was, or how awesome his version of this amazing song is.
w0bbl3r 8 months ago
@w0bbl3r I do know who Johnny Thunders was and I obviously know more about how Duff of Guns N' Roses loved him and did this song because he wanted to pay tribute to his favorite musician. The song "So Fine" from Use Your Illusion II was also written as a memorial to Thunders. A band doing a cover song isn't a bunch of posers, and many of Guns versions of other songs are easily arguably better than their original versions. Knockin on Heavens Door, Mama Kin, Whole Lotta Rosie, etc. You dumbbbb
LtSykes 8 months ago
@LtSykes How old are you? 18? younger?
None of those songs you listed are better than their original version. The day that bums 'n' posers can play and sing a song better than dylan, aerosmith, ac/dc or johnny thunders will be the day that music is truly dead.
I'm sorry, but they only did ONE good album, and that was appetite. It WAS a great album, but everything since then has been shit. The only good music to come from any of the members since then has been slash's snakepit. Full stop
w0bbl3r 8 months ago
@w0bbl3r Slash's Snakepit sucks. And yeah me and most other people I know (who happen to be not 18 and younger thank you) do prefer Guns versions of Knockin and Live and Let Die. Appettie still IS a great album. Use Your Illusion II is their best (Estranged, Civil War, and Locomotive beat the shit out of anything on Appetite musically. More depth and complexity. And btw Guns N Roses is in fact better than AC/DC. I love AC/DC and they're my favorite band but cmon I'm not stupid.
LtSykes 8 months ago
@w0bbl3r FYI. Axl's vocal range far outclasses that of Steven Tyler, Thunders, Bon Scott, Brian Johnson, and Bob Dylan. And Welcome to the Jungle alone has 11 different riffs and chord progressions and about 4 or 5 key changes depending on whether or not you consider the switch from D major to G Mixolydian a change and none of the artists we previously mentioned have the chops to write music as complicated and intricate like that.
LtSykes 8 months ago
@LtSykes It is not a question of how complexe is a song to be good;)
Especially not in that time johnny wrote the song...
GNR did that cover, which is not bad, as a tribute to Johnny with good thoughts. So its all good
Bastimentos06 8 months ago
@Bastimentos06 I do agree with you, and you actually sound like a reasonable human being unlike this troll here lol. :) I never said a song needs to be complex to be great. "Used to Love Her" is so much fun and it's only three chords. I think that proves to the testament of the bands creativity and musicianship that they can chillax with that stuff and still write masterpieces like "Estranged". To everyone, if you haven't heard that song get off of this cover and go listen to that!
LtSykes 8 months ago
@LtSykes Axl has no vocal range. Talking and screaming, thats it.
And if being able to write complicated music made for great artists, then rock and roll wouldnt exist, because it began with simple, catchy, EXCELLENT licks.
The best rock 'n' roll in the world is the most simple and catchy.
Plus, most of the actual music of it was written by the only cool members of the group, who are no longer in the band and havent been for years.
w0bbl3r 8 months ago
@w0bbl3r Ya lost all credibility with that statement troll. Clearly you don't know what you're talking about. "Estranged" which is undeniably the top three favorite for any true GnR fans was soley written by Rose. He has a four octave vocal range which is actually insane and most great rock artists do play a mix of both simple/catchy and deep and complex tunes. That's what makes them great. Welcome to the Jungle was voted the best hard rock song by VH1 and it's complex and catchy.
LtSykes 8 months ago
@LtSykes I just have to say this...Even though they WERE undeniably a great band back in the days, they're now shit. Nothing more, nothing less.
A great vocal range does not make a great singer. And while I do agree that he might be good at the kind of singing he does, I just don't like it.
Also, if you rely on others to vote out the best songs for you - or if you use these lists as a criteria for whether or not something is good, you're retarded.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 Have you even listened to Chinese Democracy? It's actualy a very good record. While I agree that GnR's original lineup is by far superior to what everyone is doing now, they are not shit now and still are great. And that's fine that you don't like his voice, but I ask you this: you do realize he has multiple "voices" that he uses to sing different songs right? I find no reason for you not to like his lower register which is generally a normal voice.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes Well, I must confess that I never really gave it a real listen. I just put on some song, skipped about 30 seconds or 1 minute in cause I thought it sucked, and it went on like that.
I'll stick to my opinion that they are shit, and that they haven't been great since the 80's.
I said I don't like his singing. Not that I don't like his voice. I never really cared for that kind of singing.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 Also Axl isn't just remembered for having an amazing vocal range hes remembered for his fantastic ear for melody that he used that range with and his fantastic on stage charisma. I would place him up there with Mercury and Plant as far as rock singers go. I agree range isn't everything, and most people are blinded by smoothness of Mercury's voice and his range and just automatically drop him at number one. I'm sure if someone had Mercury's voice they'd do the same.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes But you know what he's most known for? Being the biggest asshole on the planet, a self-obsessed jerk that can't work with anyone for a longer period, and an overall douchebag. I just don't like him. I don't care if he can sing, he can't write good songs.
Now, don't get me wrong, his songs are good if you like that mindnumbing pop...But when I say good songwriters, I mean the likes of Bob Dylan and such.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 He can't write good songs? You're just an idiot. And I don't care if I go to hell for saying this, I've seen Bob Dylan live 5 times and he sucked everytime. And songs like Better, Estranged, Coma, and This I Love are not "mind numbing pop" what the hell is wrong with you? Have you never heard them or are you deaf?
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes I've heard them, of course. I don't care about your opinion on Bob Dylan, but the fact is that he's ten times the songwriter at his worst that Axl is at his best.
I love how you got offensive all of a sudden. You should get off that self-obsessed jerks dick. Nobody likes him anymore, anyway.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 Lol yeah it's not my opinion that Dylan was terrible. Everyone who went to the most recent concert of his I saw talked about how bad it was. He can't sing anymore, and he didn't even play any of his instruments. It was unbearable to sit through and the crowd didn't even want an encore he was THAT BAD. And you may find this surprising, but there are a lot of people who like Axl Rose more than Bob Dylan.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes However, this is not about LIVE PERFORMANCES, BUT ABOUT SONGWRITING ABILITIES. Using completely irrelevant things to try to win your argument is retarded.
Also, the fact that Axl Rose is more appealing to the public proves NOTHING when it comes to songwriting abilities.
Oh, and even if it did, Bob Dylan was at least as popular during the 60's as Axl was at his peak. Bob Dylan was declared the spokesman for his generation. Axl Rose was declared the biggest asshole of his. Haha.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 Live performances is what makes Rock n Roll. Live music is what keeps music as music. And yeah I'm sorry those three chords over and over again in every song really are just so amazing I forgot. And declared by who? What does that even mean? Huh? The Beatles were around when Dylan was and no offense, they are way more important to music than he is and also far better songwriters.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes I'll take on your statement regarding Bob Dylan and the Beatles first.
While I agree that they were more important, they were important in a different way. Also, this is completely irrelevant. They too are good songwriters, though they write different kinds of songs. Bob Dylan has a more complex way of writing his songs. Also, he was declared the spokesman for his generation by his generation.
Regarding your comment about GNR and Mötley, who gives a shit? You're getting caught up on the
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 Look you are entitiled to your opinion about not liking his singing that is fine. But don't go saying the man can't write music because he can whether you like it or not. Also I suggest before you make your opinion how about you actually learn more about it so you can definitely say for sure without any igonorance why you don't like them. Not good since the 80's? I remember the Use Your Illusion albums were HUGE in the early 90's and I prefer them to AFD.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes Well, he really can't write good songs. When compared to the likes of Bob Dylan, he might as well be screaming "Feces" over and over again into the microphone.
He writes pop songs. That takes very little talent. As I said, he might be a good singer, but a songwriter..? Haha, dear god no.
That whole hair metal crap has never really been my thing. I gave their "masterpiece" (Appetite) a listen, and I didn't quite like it. I've also heard all the "big" songs from Illusion. Don't like them.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 you're either a troll or an imbecile if you just called them hair metal. You do realize they are the band most famous for being very anti-hair metal in attitude and sound right?
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes Whatever. Most of the 80's metal bands sound the same. GNR tried to be Mötley Crüe (which was hair metal), Mötley Crüe tried to be New York Dolls...
Anyway, it's funny that you got hung up on THAT. You didn't counter my arguments...Are you starting to realize that Axl Rose pretty much has no talent at all when it comes to songwriting?
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 Lol at GnR tried to be Motley Crue. They don't sound anything alike. oh you're so ignorant and immature I'm not even going to bother.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 Yeah you just spit out so much ignorant crap it's just hard to focus on all of it at one time. And no I don't realize things in music. I listen to it, hear what it has to say, and appreciate. Stop trolling. It's people like you who let society get away with all the ills that plague as a race.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes I'm not ignorant. I gather facts, then I form an opinion based upon those facts. My opinion can't be changed by facts that I have already taken into consideration. That's not ignorance, that's called thinking; something you're clearly unfamiliar with.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 You have yet to state a single fact.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes wrong things. The relevant thing here is, why on earth would you consider Axl Rose a good songwriter? Tell me ONE thing that could possibly seperate him from the likes of Justin Bieber and Rebecca Black. Since you seem to use popularity as some form of criteria...They're both WAY bigger than Axl Rose. Does that make them better?
No, exactly.
Also, GNR were heavily influenced by Mötley. Just sayin'.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 Seriously fuck you. Just go die in a hole. Lets see Axl is a multi-instrumentalist who writes great lyrics and's music incorporates elements form various styles and is far more complex on a theoretical level than any artist you have yet to bring up. I haven't used popularity as criteria. you keep saying I am even though I haven't once done that. Also GnR has stated that they were not influenced by Crue and in fact they hated each other but you wouldn't know that because youre ignorant
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes Haha, ignorance makes you think that GNR were influenced by Mötley. That's a funny, new definition of that word. Axl Rose is a semi-talented twat who kind of plays piano and, even though he sings great, manages to fuck that up by being the largest asshole on the planet, aswell as writing the most horrible lyrics ever. I've said that you used popularity as a criteria once. And I said that because you brought up that welcome to the jungle was voted the best song by VH1.

LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes Oh, and I don't care how wide your music taste is. I too listen to a wide variety of music; From Niccolo Paganíni to Bad Religion and Megadeth. This is however completely irrelevant, and the fact that you keep dragging completely irrelevant things into this discussion is what has lead me to believe that you're an idiot incapable of any forms of intelligent discussion.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 I don't know who Niccolo Paganini is. I love Megadeth, and Bad Religion but they are essentially two different styles of rock. I listed Acid Jazz, Electro House, Hard Rock, Rock, Experimental Post Rock, and Rap artists. Do you listen to anything other than rock based music or are you just a troll?
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes You talked about how many different types of music you like. I pointed out that, even though it's irrelevant, I listen to lots of different types of music, too.
Yes, I do listen to stuff that is not rock based. However, I'm quite picky when it comes to music, and I don't like certain styles in general. Such styles would include most country, most jazz, all reggae, hip hop and rnb, and rap...
Oh, and Niccolo Paganíni was a classical violin virtuoso. Not rock based.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 ignorance is defined as "Lack of knowledge or information." You saying GnR was influenced by Motely Crue is in fact an ignorant statement because they weren't so yeah. Sorry you don't know proper English. And horrible lyrics eh? I didn't know you considered lyrics about divorce and miscarraiges to be horrible. You must be a bad person. The songs Better, Madagascar, This I love, Locomotive, Coma, Estranged, Civil War, Sorry, November Rain, and Don't Cry have amazing lyrics so fuck you
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes You're retarded. There's a difference between ignorance and splitting hairs. You're splitting hairs, I'm not ignorant. Maybe they weren't that influenced by Mötley Crüe, but they did have the same influences. I find their music to be Mötley Crüe without the theatrics, and maybe a less talented guitarist and drummer.
I didn't know you enjoyed hearing about miscarriages all day, you must be one fucked up individual.

@Merioc2k3 And now you're making fun of muscarriages. One day you will suffer the same thing and you won't be laughing.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes You Suck Dog! Go home.
tidussloan83 6 months ago
@LtSykes and you also keep saying popularity is a bad thing when in reality sometimes you're the biggest band in the world for a reason. In GnR's case they were the biggest band in the world by far from 87-93, and it was because whether you like it or not, they wrote great music, but not only that they did it at a time where people were more likely to find interest in their style of music. I also can read and write music in sheet music form so I can literally see why GnR is better
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes I've never claimed that popularity is bad. Hell, some of my favourite artists, like Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones and the Beatles were the most popular bands/artists of their era!
Also, "better" is not something definite. There is no definite "better", it's all about opinions. While I agree that GNR had better bass, guitar and drums, the lyrics kill it. Also, how does disliking the horseshit that leaks out Axl's mouth make me a horrible person? Seriously..
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 Regarding your comment that Bob Dylan has a more complex way of writing his songs, no he doesn't. There isn't a single Bob Dylan song that comes close to the musical complexity of Estranged, and that's not even GnR's most complex song. Seriously I know a LOT about music theory. Dylan has nothing on Rose in that category. That isn't something that is subjective.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes When I said that he writes more complex songs, I didn't mean it like the way you make it to be; The way I see it, Dylan is more of a poet, while Axl Rose can be compared to Justin Bieber in terms of songwriting. I can't make myself much clearer than that. Rose is not a poet. He writes pop songs.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 You're the only person in the world who truly thinks Rose had bad lyrics. Really you must not have listened to them at all. If anything, Rose's strongest aspect as a musician would probably be his lyrics. They can be fun and silly at one point and then deep and profound at another. The rhyme scheme in their song, "Better" is more complex than any other song I've ever heard. Sure there may be some out there that are just as unique/complex, but I haven't heard them.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes "You're the only person in the world who truly..."
Nice way of generalizing 6 billion people, dumbass.
No, he SUCKS at writing lyrics. He writes pop songs, no matter what you say. He's nowhere near as good as Dylan, Greg Graffin and other people who write stuff that actually require talent. Grow the fuck up, fanboy.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 Hahah I'm not a fanboy, but the way you downplay Axl's lyrical ability is amazing to me. Like wow you're so ignorant about it. I love Dylan's lyrics but I love how you say I bring up irrelevant things when you do it yourself. You're a hipocrite.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 If I were you I'd manage to avoid the invitation
Of promised love that can't keep up with your adoration
Just use your head and in the end you'll find your inspiration
To choose your steps and won't regret this kind of aggravation.
You think those are bad? You really must not know what constitutes great lyrics.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes Maybe a comparison with Justin Bieber was inaccurate, but he's still a mediocre songwriter, at best. If you can't see that he's NOTHING compared to Greg Graffin or Bob Dylan, you're obviously blinded by your fanboyism.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 Lol first of all my favorite musician is not Axl Rose it's John Lennon, and I'm a girl. I'm a music industry major in college and honestly it seems to me that you're the one who is blinded by their fanboyism of Dylan. I can easily compare Rose to Dylan as far as lyrics go because they're both great. Yet you say "Rose just writes pop songs" like it's true and or some kind of insult. Mad World is a pop song, and that has better lyrics than most of Dylan and Rose's stuff.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes Your gender is unimportant. However, I too am a big fan of Lennon. And I'm not a "fanboy" of Dylan, I just appreciate him as a musician and a songwriter. He is far from my favourite artist.
No, you CAN'T compare Rose to Dylan. Seriously. It's just plain retarded. He can sing, but he can't write lyrics that good. I mean, Bob Dylan is capable of writing 7 minute long songs that make a point and don't repeat themselves...
Pop songs are generally easier to write. That's why I bring it up.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 GnR's song coma is 10 minutes long, doesn't repeat once, and has a very profound message, and it's hardly a pop song. Your argument is invalid.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes I just read the entire lyrics to "Coma". No, they're not great. They don't repeat themselves, but they're not great.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 Lol you need to listen to the song. When he screams God Damn it... there isn't anything quote like it. Everyone I know (even people who hate Axl) love that part. And yeah they are great. No one cares what you think about em.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes If the best part of the song is when he screams "god damn it", it can't be that interesting. Sorry.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 Yeah I never said it was the best part of the song, it's just very cool.
"I'm climbing through the wreckage of all my twisted dreams
But this cheap investigation still can't stifle all my screams"
You don't think those are good? Really? Wow. You're missing out. I could use even better examples from the song, but what's the point since you just hate without actually attempting to understand.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes The fact that it rhymes doesn't make it good. That's all I have to say.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 lol who ever said that? Do you even realize what you just said? That's like the most assenine thing I've ever heard in my life.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes The lyrics sucked, but at least they rhymed. I'm saying that that alone does not make it good. It seems to me that he's not actually trying to write a song, he's just putting together words that rhyme sometimes.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 You either didn't read them correctly or you just are unwilling to accept the fact that he's a good lyricist. If you knew any of the background to why Axl wrote it you'd know it has a really profound message and at the time Axl considered it one of the best things he'd written up to that point. Seriously to say that "it seems to me that he's not actually trying to write a song" about a song I know the artist put his soul into speaks volumes about u. I get it you wont give it a chance
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes Or maybe YOU'RE unwilling to accept that he's NOT a good lyricist? Whether or not he put his soul into it is quite irrelevant. It's still horseshit. You say you listen mainly to the lyrics, yet you seem to prefer Axl Rose over Bob Dylan. That's just retarded.
You must be a fangirl of the extreme kind.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 Lol you say me prefering Axl to Dylan as if it's some kind of horrible thing. I don't dislike Dylan. I just personally find Rose to be a more interesting individual and musician. It's a shame that you can't listen to the lyrics to a song such as "This I Love" and enjoy it. I never said one was better than the other. Just noting your analysis of Rose is pretty much completely absurd at this point, so I give up. It's a shame you can't enjoy both like I can. It's really satisfying.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes Of course I can enjoy songs like that, I just don't think that they're greater - lyrically speaking - than Bob Dylan or Bad Religion. I LOVE pop music, but I must confess that it has crappy lyrics most of the time.
(With pop, I don't mean the Rebecca Black/Justin Bieber/Lady Gaga kind)
My analysis is not absurd, I just see him as a crappy songwriter compared to Bob Dylan.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 Axl Rose is probably the most underrated song writter of all time... Yes Bob Dylan is good, so as Jonh Bon Jovi,John Lenon is God and Axl is another one... have you ever saw the lyrics for Civil War (which must be the best song ever written), November Rain, Estranged, Sweet Child, the end of Coma... his lyrics are way much better than Bob Dylan's and that's not being retarded, that's being wise!
Axl Rose lyrics are beyond amazing, and they're not irrevelant at all!
90192100 6 months ago
@90192100 That IS being retarded. Axl Rose isn't better than Bob Dylan. Also, fun fact: Bon Jovi's most famous song was not written by them. They hired a songwriter to write "Livin' on a prayer".
Also, the songs you listed have really fucking retarded lyrics. I mean, "Sweet Child"? Are you fucking serious? That's comparible to Justin Bieber's "Baby"...
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@90192100 I totally agree. Everybody talks about Axl's voice, moves (which are of course incredible) or tough character;) but they seem to forget about the lyrics he's written. They're absolutely AMAZING and inspiring ! ! !
MsMinnieification 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 I will say this. Clearly you have only really listened to AFD, which yes the lyrics on that album are a tad bit more juvenile than their other albums; however, that doesn't make them not great. AFD is an accurate and gritty depiction of the lifestyle the band had during their early years. The UYI albums developed their lyrical content further, and if there is one thing that is perfect on CD it's the lyrics. There are songs on CD I don't like, but the lyrics and vocals are phenomenal.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes I haven't listened to one album in particular. I've just listened to them every now and then. Pretty much every song struck me as dull and uninteresting, generally cause I tend to listen to the lyrics rather than the guitar play or w/e when it comes to that kind of music. Sorry, it's just not good.
Whether he's a good singer or not really has nothing to do with his songwriting either..
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 Look lyrics come first for me with everything I listen to. You're wrong. Axl is a great lyricist whether you like him or not. End of story.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes Depends on who you compare him to. If you compare him to Rebecca Black, then yes.
If you compare him to John Lennon, Bob Dylan and Greg Graffin...Then no.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 "If love is blind I guess I'll buy myself a cane."
"How could you say I never needed you when you took everything from me?"
"Time's short and your life's your own, and in the end we are just dust n' bones."
"What I thought was beautiful is only memories."
All of that is comparable to anyone because it's great.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes You REALLY need to start listening to Bad Religion. They have GREAT lyrics.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 Irrelevant. The only thing I like about Bad Religion is the lyrics. Doesn't change the fact that Axl is a great lyricist too.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes When put in comparison, Axl is a WAY worse lyricist. His best is worse than their worst. Bob Dylan is superior when it comes to lyrics, too.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 Yeah cause "No I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more" totally shits bricks on any of the lyrics I posted allready. You have a horrible understanding and emotional connection with lyrics.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes First of all, that song DOES have meaning. If you'd actually read what it's about, maybe you'd understand.
Also, in case you plan on bringing up more Bob Dylan songs, I'd appreciate it if you'd exclude those that are bad on purpose, such as pretty much everything from his Self Portrait album.
Merioc2k3 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 Hahah you sound like a spoiled kid screaming "That's not fair!" when they don't get their way.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@Merioc2k3 also GnR today is in fact more popular than Justin Beiber and Rebecca Black on a world wide level. It's not even close.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes And no offense but I can tell from this conversation that I have a far more expanded taste in music than you do. I can listen to Jamiroquai, Del the Funkee Homosapien, Guns N' Roses, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, deadmau5, Death from Above 1979, and the Beatles all in one sitting. All of which I prefer vastly to Bob Dylan.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@w0bbl3r haha, search "axls' incredible vocal range" on youtube ya dumbass. Jesus, some people are just fucking stupid. I'm sorry to offend you but saying axl doesn't have any vocal range is fucking stupid. Have you ever heard a GNR song besides "Welcome to tha Jungle?'. Go pick up illusions or even democracy and listen to no vocal range, god dammit.
chrisis138 6 months ago
@chrisis138 Oh no, it's on youtube it must be true, Axl is the rock version of pavarotti.
You cant be that gullible
w0bbl3r 6 months ago
@w0bbl3r just listen to it and if you don't hear different octaves then you're tone deaf.
chrisis138 6 months ago
@chrisis138 Sure, youre right, he should be doing opera, not pop-rock shite that he usually does.
He sings ok for what he does, but he is nothing special, seriously.
And he is a total prick, sold out at the first opportunity, and keeps a band going that has no original members because all the people with any sense wanted to stay away from him because he is a tosspot of the highest order.
w0bbl3r 6 months ago
@w0bbl3r Regardless of if you think he's a prick or not, I'd like to hear YOU sing one of his songs on Chinese Democracy. Go ahead. just try.
LtSykes 6 months ago
@LtSykes Since they are all shit I haven't listened to them enough to learn the lyrics, and wouldn't want to sing them anyway. But I am a fairly decent singer, and have been doing it for years now.

MrPimpMaster99 11 months ago
@MrPimpMaster99 What happened to Guns N Roses? This is an old album, and what makes you think they were sell-outs here?
This is how good punk rock sounds, and this is only Duffy, not the entire band.
I did not understand the rest you said, but get your facts right
Kushufy 10 months ago

Can't you just stop arguing about who was what in Gn'R and enjoy this sweet song?
ba773r1na 1 year ago
It's alright but I must admit I prefer the original to that sound - it just sounds like he's being lazy after an affected manner rather than something all too real and the guitars a bit too ... sloppy joe as well?

slash is teh best so shut the fucking shit up bitch
mathhias42 1 year ago
After reading all shit that you can read at comments, well I do strongly belive that people who "hates or dislike and write it down" it's beacuse they really hate them but maybe cuz the new boyfriend of their exgirlfriend or coworker likes it or something like that I HATE BRITNEY AND SHE IS A POSER and I've never write it down on U-TUV!!, did you know that Sid Vicious REALLY NEVER PLAY (instead of Slash) and well, I do like Sid! WHAT'S WRONG WITH U PEOPLE??!! Fuck that coments.
jimatanga 1 year ago
Duff the only MAN in GnR... nothing wrong with the rest of the boys... oh.. well one wrong is it... the fluff head poser slash... but the rest of them is Dead cool to me.
ZiddanSleaze 1 year ago
@ZiddanSleaze why is slash a poser???Becuz he can play the guitar??
ubn00b 1 year ago
@ubn00b
well in my opinion Slash can't play guitar... or well he can play better then Yngwie J.
ZiddanSleaze 1 year ago
