Unfortunately I did not have a method to change timing when running this test. At some point, EGT's would go back down as you cut back more on the fuel. The fire is going out.....
There may be other factors involved, skewing your numbers. Also, if you go too lean, numbers will drop because there is not enough fuel to maintain burn. The match is going out, so to speak.
hey smack I want to put a hydroxy generator in my 91 isuzu rodeo, it doesnt have obd II, would effective tuning be possible? what would you reccommend?
finally some one has stepped out of the " it works because i say so " and into the real world of science. You really have surpassed all the rest in this field that i have seen. this is not low level let me see if i can build a cell shit. this is cold hard facts and no one can fight about if it works anymore, just why it works. really good stuff. i expect great thing to come from you. you really seem to be heading in the right direction.
I believe that the temperature increases to a point as you lean the mixture. After this point the temperature actually goes down due to incomplete combustion. I believe the idea with hydroxy is to lean to the point where the engine is in the incomplete combustion region and then adding hydroxy will allow the flame to propagate again allowing for complete combustion. This type of tuning should allow for running ultra lean conditions thus allowing for greatly reduced fuel consumption.
I agree that after a certain AFR, temps will drop because there is little to nothing to burn.
We should never come close to this window, however.
The goal is to keep EGT's within stock range. This ensures that NOX emissions values are at or below factory specs. Yes, you can lean out more, but for the general public boosting vehicles, I discourage this. They don't have the equipment/knowledge to do this properly. What you are proposing should only be done in controlled test conditions.
Thanks for demonstrating to the resto f the AFR program. You do what the Nay-Sayers CAN"T do which is put the evidence up front for the whole world can see.
so have you done the dyno hp test stock, and then with hho add and fuel remapped? If so whats the fuel consumption to Hp comparison? I know it might be a little early to ask that. But I figured I would just in case.
its proof in that engine on leaning higher egt. so did you advance timing? leaner fuel burns slower. egt may go back down?

@Dave308man Try the system without any tuning first

Maybe you could design an incredibly small turbo to increase efficiency even more?
(if you haven't noticed I'm a big fan of turbo/forced induction)

there is a kit for this model

Thanks! I'm working hard to keep it real and tight. I always back my claims and statements with proof.

Yes, brother - I have left them all in the dust.
So much for the claims that I have had "my ass kicked all over You Tube".
Numbers speak for themselves.

I did do those tests.
After tuning, a 1hp gain (negligible as it should be), and a 20% gain in economy.
