An older version I could take a 1.4 g file and it would convert it to 4.0 + size file incoding it up to 4 times ( VTS_01_01 , VTS_01_02 , VTS_01_03 , VTS_01_04 )
but with my new ver.4 it only does two passes ( vts1 and vts2 ) I can't seem to find how to up this . So when i convert a 2g avi file it turns into a 2g vts file instead of a 4g file . Also I just converted a mkv 8.8 file and it converted it to a 5.56g file . I wanted to keep it at about 8.8 to retain the max quality .
15-25 regular avi files, HD files 35-55, u too slow, also when u set it to dvd-9 and if its actually bigger that 4.7GB u have to use a bigger dvd.. y use dvd shrink to, this will effect quality of DVD, we all know convertxtodvd is better that all programs
i need help. i download some great HD video from youtube and i wanna put it on disc. its actually a movie but seperated into 10 clips. so i putted it together on convertxtodvd. it goes in as 10 seperate titlesets and when burned to disc, it repeats plays on the first titleset unleast you press skip. is there a way to play it straight forward?
can anyone help me I have an HP vista premium laptop and i HAVE A BUNCH OF CYBERLINK FILES AS WELL AS THIS ONE SHOWING BUT I CANNOT GET THE DVDS TO PLAY ON MY HOME DVD PLAYER ANYONE SHOW ME IT STEP BY STEP PLS POST ON MY REQUEST
I would say anywhere between 15-35 mins, depending on quality, length of movie, and some other factors. Since making this vid, I've upgraded to an AMD Athlon 64 x2 6400+ (3.2GHz) and thats about how long it takes for me now.
i have been usin this for a while no...But to keep the video quility to there best i put 1 movie per dvd, every time i do, i want it to fill up the whole of the dvd+r (4.7gb disc) but it always ends up buring the whole movie on like half the disc, so could you tell me how i could get it to burn on the whole of the disc...(yes i have already set the target size to 4700mb (4.7gb)... so could you help me...ty
ConvertX decides how it is going to encode a movie based on the quality of the input file. Some movies that I burn only fill up half the disc and others fill the whole thing or even go over if I put the target size to DVD9. It all boils down to the quality of the input file. This bothered me at first, too so I just started choosing better quality avi's and the final product usually fills the disc. Hope that helps.
Hey i just wanted to know if this program works on a Mac OS X, if it doesn't can anyone give me a program that will let me convert .avi to DVD so i can play it on my DVD player???
also does it convert .mov (the mac format of movies, for quicktime)???
I really couldn't say for sure. The 4000+ is 2.1 GHz and the 6400+ is 3.2 GHz, so its obviously gonna take a bit longer. I would imagine it would still be much faster than any single core cpu. If I had to guess, I would say maybe a little under an hour or something like that. What cpu are you using currently that it takes over 4 hrs?
well i encoded rambo movie file and it took 8 hours lol. intel celeron processor 400 mhz and 256 ram i am using but im gettin a new comp with AMD Athlon 64 X2 Processor 4000+
I have found that it really depends on your cpu speed. In this video I was using an AMD Sempron 2600+ and it took 2 hrs. I recently built a system with an AMD Athlon X2 6400+ and it takes about 15 minutes now. All I can really tell you is to either lower the quality settings or get a faster processor. If your cpu is slow, converting video files is gonna take a long time no matter what program you use.

Wow, thats a major upgrade you're making! You'll notice a HUGE speed improvement in pretty much everything, including the encoding.
